SOOOO... I went to my first ROH show man was it awesome! SPOILERS ahead for people who may want to avoid them. we arrived at around 4 and got in line.. they opened the doors and as soon as the doors opened I B lined to where they had the wrestlers signing in the main lobby area. Cody Rhodes was the only one at his table and the others were slowly leaking out. We went and met Cody first and I asked where I paid for the auto at. Cody told me ahh well figure that out later come talk. So cody chatted with us for a few moments about random things. My son asked him if he liked being Stardust. Cody smiled and said it was fun for a bit but after awhile he got tired of painting his face and wanted to be himself. I said feel for your brother who's been doing it for 20+ years. He laughed and said he's a pro at it and even did his sometimes. Cody was very cordial and a stand up guy. By that time the rest of the wrestlers were at their tables and the person who collects the money for autos was now at his post. I purchased my tickets and made my way to the slowly growing Young Bucks line. My son was very excited to meet them. On monday using their black friday sale i ordered him the Pink super kick party shirt. when i got the tracking it said it wouldn't be here until monday (12/5), a day too late. THANKFULLY the tracking updated and it was delivered promptly on saturday. So my son walks up to them and they went to give him a fist bump to which my son threw up a Too Sweet and Nick and Matt got wide eyed and went "OH YEAH, THATS IT" My son briefly spoke with them but I was kinda not listening so I don't recall what he asked but they spoke with him for a minute. I then told Matt about the shirt ordering and he said ahh well my wife does the shipping so Ill tell her she's doing good. We took a photo, too sweeted and moved over to adam cole. He was as nice as can be and asked my son if he was excited. he then thanked me a few times for taking him out to the show and thanked us for being here. afterwards we grabbed some food and went on our way to our seats. I had never been to ROH and only knew of Cole, The Bucks and Cody from other things. In retrospect I wish I would have met more of the guys signing such as The Kingdom, Marty Scrull & Will Osprey. oh well maybe next time. I will say the show was great and especially seeing some Monster Factory Alumni with Leo St Giovani & Punishment Martinez. the matches were pretty good and I really enjoyed the show. someone mentioned before that there was going to be cussing. There were a few "Shut the F Up" Chants but the most annoying thing was in the beginning they made their service announcement. stating where the exits were and etc. but then stated that its a family friendly environment and anyone cussing would be tossed. Now I know you can't control a whole crowd and I don't expect that. BUT I had this OLD guy in a wheelchair directly behind my son cussing the ENTIRE SHOW! I mean saying very vulgar things. even after asking him to quit it I got nothing out of him. outside of that I really enjoyed the show and will DEF go to another but will make sure to be aware of my surrounding people. This is the Philly show you're talking about right? If so, the guy in the wheelchairs name is Stan. Dude does that at EVERY ECW Arena show. He has the foulest body odor of all time as well. He's literally known for this in that arena. I can't stand that guy.

O'Reilly is defending the ROH Title against Cole at WK11. Pretty awesome for both guys. Probably the one last real checklist item for Adam Cole if I were to guess. I expect him to be at the February WWE camp and signed to NXT by the time Mania rolls around, which I believe is right around the time his ROH deal expires. This run from him has been amazing. Everything with the Kingdom, and wrestling Styles, and getting this rejuvenated feud with O'Reilly, joining the BC and his second World Title run, it's been pretty perfect imo. I think he's organically gone as high as you can within ROH, and I mean that as the highest of compliments. I expect the WK11 match to be off the charts.

He's one of my favorite things about Ring of Honor Right now, but I don't want to see him tread water for four months after WrestleKingdom.

Like WWE, they pay him for that time away but then tack the time missed on to the end of his contract. So January to April is his speculated injury time he is making up. The catch is that ROH can technically let him out of his contract at any point during that injury time because it's their discretion to hold him to that time. So it'll be interesting to see if they advertise him for Supercard of Honor or not, which will obviously be an indicator of how soon he'll be showing up at the PC.

So Nigel McGuinness is out as head booker and BJ Whitmer might be going to WWE with Steve Corino to be a trainer.
2017 is going to be a weird year for ROH...

Is anyone an ROH Ringside subscriber? Do they ever update their VOD library?

I wonder if the rumours are true about O'Reilly being signed or at least considering WWE/NXT. His Instagram suggests as much... Thought the same thing when I read he lost the ROH Title at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom 11. They built him up for a pretty long time before he defeated Adam Cole for the belt, then he just loses it a short time later. Kinda screams that he's on his way out.

Am I the only one who doesn't get Adam Cole?
Any match suggestions?

Am I the only one who doesn't get Adam Cole? Any match suggestions? Anything he's ever done with Sami Callihan is AWESOME. Their work in CZW specifically was so damn good. When he was teaming with Kyle O'Reilly hey had a series of matches against LDRS of the New Scool (Zack sabre Jr and Marty Scurll) that was outstanding. Their matches were must see.

I think the rumors making the rounds is that O'Reilly's contract expires at the end of the month and is expected to report to Orlando shortly after. Cole's contract expires in April and is expected to do the same.
... ROH would be in trouble, if so.

Aside from Scurll, Ospreay, Lio Rush, and the Young Bucks, there's nothing in ROH that interests me if Cole and KOR leave.
I'm really hoping the rumors of having Christopher Daniels winning the title don't come true...I don't think I could stomach it.

I don't get WWE's interest in O'Reilly. Adam Cole I do get.
