What about Steve Austin and Dude Love??
I know they took the Tag Title off of HBK cause he got in that right with Bret Hart, but the night that Austin beat Bulldog and Owen with his partner of Dude Love, HBK was at Raw and did an interview in the ring.
So why couldn't Austin and HBK just remain Tag Champions??

The Natural Disasters were an AWESOME tag team. Earthquake is still one of my favorites. Earthquake was OK on his own IMO but the NDs were a dose of crap IMO.......especially as faces.they werent over in the slightest

Body Donnas for sure.
Never should've had the belts.

Didn't Men on a Mission win the tag titles? Men On A Mission won the Tag Titles by accident from what I remember hearing. They beat the Quebecers for the belts, but it was because Mabel fell on Jacque or Pierre, I forget which one, but they couldn't kick out and the ref counted three. Which is why in the next title match they had the Quebecers win the belts back. That is absolutely hysterical haha.

Most of the really bad ones have already been mentioned: Body Donnas, Godwins, Natural Disasters, Men on a Mission.
I always thought the Colossal Connection (Andre and Haku) was pretty terrible. Andre was nearly immobile at that point and it was just a really odd pairing. Other than being managed by Bobby Heenan, the guys had absolutely nothing in common and it made no sense that they would be teaming together. The only two matches I can honestly remember from their entire run together was when they won the belts from Demolition on tv and the match at WM 6 where they lost them back. Did they even have any other televised matches during their run as champions (other than squash matches, but I honestly don't remember them having any of those either)? If so, who was it against?

I am pretty sure Andre and Haku wrestled The Rockers on the Ultimate Challenge special leading into Wrestlemania 6. So they did actually defend the belts, but I think Haku did most of the work. My guess is, that the tag title reign was just a way to say thank you to Andre for everything he did. I didn't mind them being Tag Champions, and it set up nicely for Demolition to get them back at Wrestlemania, and have Andre become face there as he left.

The Quebecers 123 Kid & Jannetty Headbanger Godwinns Bossman & Shamrock (unless you consider that a thrown together team) Too Cool and about 85% of the teams from 2002-Current

Diesel & HBK (Cant remember them defending the titles during either of their reigns, 1st reign last 87 days) On WWF Action Zone, the weekend of Halloween I believe it was, Razor Ramon and the 123 Kid challenged Diesel and HBK for the Tag Titles, in at least a 25 minute classic!! It was the 2nd time that HBK super kicked Diesel, and Diesel laid on the apron as HBK got beat on for 5 minutes from Razor and the Kid. Shawn goes over to try to wake up Diesel, and Diesel smiles a bit, knowing that Shawn is taking the beating. It's a really good match!! First match I thought of too! That match definitely was a classic! I thought for sure Ramon & Kid would win those titles. On topic, This list could seriously be a few pages long given the past 5 years or so. Obviously any thrown-together team or a team given the titles with no back story makes the list. On team that immediately comes to mind is the Spirit Squad. I liked the Freebrid rule but with 5 guys?! The only positives this gave the titles were it made Kane & Big Show look good as it took 5 guys to beat them. 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly is another team. I mean WTF! Why couldn't Bigelow & Tatanka just win the damn belts and drop them the next day?! I also want to add 1-2-3 Kid & Marty Jannetty to the list. Yes they had been tagging for a few months since winning their Survivor Series Match, but why such a quick title change?! I know I might get some heat for this but the Quebecers. I was pissed they beat the Steiner Brothers, but they didn't really do anything with the titles, except lose them and win them back a few days later several times. I know Cena & Batista need to be on the list. But Had WWE done this right (yeah I know right?) This could've been a great start to their match at WM XXVI. Have them win the titles then be forced to defend them or face indefinite suspension. They go on to hold the titles until Survivor Series or Royal Rumble using the partner vs partner storyline (i.e. Lance Storm & Chris Candido, Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit, etc). Finally they los the titles and all hell breaks loose leading to their match at WM XXVI.

I dont mind The CC as champs because Demolition dethroning them was one of their crowning achievements.the crowd reaction to their entrance & victory is 2nd only to Hogans on that card. but yeah I often wondered why the Connection got the belts.maybe its like you say man-a thank you to Andre and reason to have him on the card.

i had heard that the Colossal Connection getting the belts was because Arn and Tully were leaving. so Vince took the belts off them and put them back on Demolition, just so they could quick turn around and lose them back to the Heenan family. that the original plan was Demolition vs the Brain Busters at WM VI, with Demolition regaining the belts for what would've been their 2nd reign after Andre, who would come down to ringside to make the odds impossible for Demo, accidentally costs the Busters the Belts, leading to the Andre-Heenan confrontation and Andre's face turn.
swear i might've read that in an Eadie interview a long time ago...

Strike Force. Never really like the fact they won them anyway. i can agree with this, especially since it was the Can-Am Connection who were set to dethrone the Hart Foundation. til Zenk walked out/got fired, and Vince threw Chico and Martel together as a fall-back option. it says something that they didn't really team together very much after losing the Belts to Demolition.

Owen Hart and Yokozuna. Never really made any sense. I think they said the reasoning behind that tag team, was that Owen loved how Yokozuna ended Bret's first title reign, so he picked him as his partner.
