Jerry 'The King' Lawler's vital signs are stable ... and he seems to be making progress in his recovery after suffering a heart attack on live TV during a WWE event Monday night.
A rep for the WWE tells TMZ ... "As of this morning, Jerry 'The King' Lawler is in a cardiac care unit and all his vital signs are stable."
The org. notes, "WWE will provide additional information as it becomes available. We continue to wish Jerry all the best for a full recovery.”
Lawler's ex-wife Stacy Carter has been providing updates on the wrestler's condition on Twitter -- saying he underwent surgery last night and had a "stint & a balloon put in."
Carter says Jerry is still heavily sedated.
As we previously reported, 62-year-old Lawler suffered the heart attack roughly 30 minutes after he finished wrestling during a "Monday Night Raw" performance in Montreal ... and was rushed to a local hospital.

So with Vince McMahon being at his side, does that mean that Vince still travels around and goes to every single live event? Even if he isn't scheduled to make an appearance?

Vince and Triple H are at every TV/PPV regardless of if they are appearing. Triple H runs the day to day operations of the WWE, but Vince McMahon still has the final say in everything.

Since he is heavily sedated, We still don't know if he has suffered any brain damage from the lack of oxygen. I think we may have lost the Jerry Lawler we once knew. If he recovers, I do not believe it will be entirely.

Dont jump ahead of yourself, he was supplied oxygen as soon as the EMTs reached him so i dont think you should come out and state that as bluntly as you did.

I got to say this since Lawler is stable.
Michael Cole The Paramedics John Cena Vince Mcmahon
all did a fabulous job under the bad circumstances. I just hope the paramedics pulled off a miracle and he makes a full recovery. His inring career is done for sure. No one will hire him to wrestle as no one will take the chance and rightfully so. I hope they got there in time so he's not brain dead.

Shocking news to wake up to and almost felt bad watching the recording of Raw knowing what was coming.
Got to say a massive well done to everyone who responded quickly, and the professionalism of Cole, Cena, Punk, Hart and everyone who had to come on after the incident.

Being at a WWE event when this happened might end up being the thing that saves Jerry Lawler's life.
I think being at ringside with so many EMT's and medical personnel waiting to spring into action if something goes wrong IN the ring might end up being what saved Jerry Lawler and could play a critical role in what type of recovery he's able to make.
If you have a heart attack at your house or somewhere where you have to wait for EMT's to get to you or you have to be brought to a hospital or emergency room...that's critical time that's passing.
Look at what happened to Macho Man...it happened while he was driving. The crash isn't what killed him.
Hopefully Jerry Lawler was in the right place at the right time and he will make a full recovery.

I don't think he goes to every show, just the taped ones. Remember, he's usually the one in the announcers' headsets telling them what to say during the show.

I hope Jerry Lawler recovers Ok. I actually can't believe I missed this whole thing I turned the TV off during that match in order to go to bed since I have to get up at 6 for my 8AM class

It was no fun watching, and not knowing if it would be good new or bad, every time Cole would appear on camera.

Well there are reports of Jerry being dead for 20mins and there's other reports that say 8mins. I am praying that he will be okay but I have seen from personal experiences the damages caused by Heart Attacks. I hope his brain was receiving oxygen during his down time.

Currently watching, and once it goes silent it gets real awkward. I can't imagine how bad it would of had been to of had watched live without knowing what was happening to Lawler. :/

I really hope jerry makes a full recovery. I know he will never wrestle again. But I hope he can at least come back as a annoucer.
I tape every raw and i must say it was hard for me to sit thru the rest of raw not knowing what they were going to tell us about the king.

I was at the show last night and when Jerry collapsed everyone got up and noone gave a crap about the match , and the rest of the night most people were having Jerry lawler chant, without even anyone at the bell centre knowing what actually happen , the only time we had information was at the end of the show when they told us that the Pat Patterson tribute would be postpone and that Jerry was rushed to the hospital , then they just told us to drive home safely .

- F4WOnline.com published a report clarifying rumors of WWE’s handling of Monday’s Raw show after broadcaster and wrestler Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack while commentating.
According to a WWE employee backstage at the event, it was a very chaotic scene but he did not see any pray groups. Contrary to speculation, there was never any talk of halting the show.
WWE chief Vince McMahon was not at Lawler’s side during the entire ordeal, as reported. He briefly checked on the backstage commotion during a commercial break before resuming his producing duties at Gorilla Position. Rather, Paul “Triple H” Levesque directed orders backstage.
All of broadcaster Michael Cole’s on-air verbiage concerning Lawler was directed by McMahon word-for-word.
