I just finished watching RAW (after recording it).
I really have to give Michael Cole a lot of credit here. He acted very professionally and you could see that he had tears in his eyes when he was explaining Jerry's condition.

All I can do is think positive. Regardless, I do fear that his actual in-ring career is over. He still wrestles on the indies, and the occasional WWE match. That's probably all done. I hope that he is ok with it when he gets better. I don't think we will see him for awhile, he may only do commentary at Wrestlemania, but as long as he is healthy and we see him up and about again. As long as all goes well I think we will see him again. There won't be a dry eye in the house.

Now would they have continued anywhere near 20 minutes of him being dead, trying to bring him back? I would think that they would just declare him dead, long before 20 minutes. They'd keep trying, recently a Football (Soccer) player over here collapsed mid game, and he was actually dead for over an hour but they managed to get his heart beating again, and he went on to recover from it all.

Raw got really creepy without the announcing. When they cut to Cole I thought for sure he was going to say someone died. What a tragic thing to happen.

woke up several times last night immediatly with King on my mind. I woke up not long ago now hoping I'd not see that dreaded headline, but I'm glad i did not. But Hopefully he will recover.

I hope Jerry is ok, I came on WFigs and saw this thread and wasn't sure what was happening, just finished watching Raw now.
Cole really showed his emotions, mad respect for him.

weird to think of it like this, but having a heart attack live on TV with doctors just a few metres away is probably the best place to be if it were to happen. I mean, the guy was technically dead for a while, meaning that time was a huge factor here. imagine if it would have happened at home or whilst driving or whatever - very unlikely he'd have made it.

You are right about that. If it happened at home, it would have been far worse as they'd have to wait for the ambulance to get there and could have been bad.

Very happy to hear things went well, I wish him the best in his road to recovery. I've never had to experience that as a wresting fan watching it go down, glad he's getting better.

I really hope the king is okay. It was a very sad moment when Cole made the announcement. I almost shed a tear. My father passed away in a similar situation.

Jim Ross @jrsbbq Lots of speculation re: my dear friend @jerrylawler. He's stable & being expertly cared for in Montreal following heart attack. Stable=good

He had a stint & a balloon put in. Right now he is still heavily sedated. Will update when I know more" So it does look like he had surgery
