Like Cole said, he's a fighter. He's got to pull through, he just has to. The rematch with Kaufman can wait. We still need you down here King.

It's obviously worse than what Cole said. Cole sounded extremely worried when he talked about it. At first I thought he just passed out from being too heated after his match, but now I'm much more worried. Come on Jerry, pull through!

I'm staying up all night, I won't be able to fall asleep even if I try. Get well Lawler.

Well listen to Cole's voice from when he first gave info, to when he gave the final update. His first update, it sounded like he knew he would be announcing Jerry's death at some point. That last one had hope, and sounded like there was a chance for King at that point to make it through this.

Praying for him. I'm glad that he's stable now, and there seems to be some hope. Wrestling still needs 'The King.'

According to sources, Lawler had flown to Montreal after working weekend independent shots in Aruba, so he had a long day of travel before working TV tonight. Whether that was a factor remains to be seen.
One ringside fan emailed PWInsider.com to report that Lawler sounded as if he began snoring right before he collapsed. Prior to that, he communicated with a ringside employee, possibly to warn them something was wrong. Lawler grabbed his arm and turned "blue-ish" as he fell, signs of a heart attack. Note that WWE has not publicly stated what the situation is beyond that Lawler was receiving CPR.
EMTs were on the scene immediately, as were WWE medical personnel. They immediately ripped Lawler's shirt open and began administering medical assistance. A group of responders lifted Lawler to a stretcher, where he was rushed backstage and worked on before being transported via ambulance to a hospital. The ringside fan who emailed us stated that WWE officials directed the EMTs to get Lawler backstage and away from the crowd.
After Lawler was removed, the WWE ring crew frantically cleaned up the ringside area as it appeared Lawler may have gotten sick before or after he fell.
As you can imagine, the entire roster was pretty shaken up by the situation. Everyone is hopeful for the best, obviously.

I'll just c&p what I wrote in the Raw thread:
I'm truly relieved and glad that Jerry is doing better and has stabilized. That really shook me up quite a bit since it brought back memories of watching OTE'99. Thoughts and prayers are still with King and hope he fully pulls through this.
Also, big ups to Michael tonight for being able to, somehow, keep his composure during this broadcast. That must not have been anywhere close to an easy 1.5 hrs just sitting there, waiting for an update from a friend he's been working with for 15+ years. Also, much props to anyone else who stepped through that curtain tonight following what happened and, for the most part, staying tough while continuing to do their best to entertain an, obviously, distracted crowd in Montreal and the viewers watching at home.

From everything you just posted in this report, it does sound like a heart attack. My step dad made the same snoring/snorting noises and turned blue in the face when he had his. He also passed out. In many cases a heart attack victim grabs their left arm and also gets sick before passing out so by all means it does sound like a heart attack. Im no doctor though. I just pray that The King comes though this.

At least there was no anal bleeding this time. But in all seriousness, I hope this is a wake up call to not have 62 year old men wrestling in the ring anymore. Nobody wants to see anyone die, and the King should just stick with commentary for now on. It's a lot safer for him. But I hope for a speedy recovery for the guy!

I think that if Lawler stops wrestling, he'll stop commentating. He's said before that he doesn't really care for commentating and he loves it whenever he gets a chance to step in the ring. I feel bad for the guy. Hope he gets better soon!

I just watched the tag match again and I can hear that Lawler was having a hard time breathing and he was snoring! Truly hope he gets better! Get well King!

I think that blaming it on him still being active in the ring is jumping to an unsure conclusion. One thing about heart attacks is that they're very sudden. I've seen cases of of healthy as a horse twenty somethings dying from heart attacks.

That was the most ed up episode of Raw I've watched since the CB memorial. I was on the verge of tears at points it was surreal watching Cole as I thought he was about to announce the death of his own broadcast partner. I really hope he pulls through this.

Well remember though, you have his age, and he travels a lot with Raw on Mondays and then doing indy shows, plus he still wrestles a normal match. He doesn't have a slower, more protected pace that guys like Abdullah or Terry Funk would employ.

When he gave that first update, and started talking, my first thought is, my God, it's JR announcing Owen's death all over again. The same slow, choked up tone that Ross had that sad May night.

what a crazy development, totally did not see this coming, although im left with a positive feeling knowing that he's stable and breathing on his own.
i had to go back and see where everything started to go down, it was crazy. when Cole said "this is not part of tonight's entertainment" you knew something was really wrong. props to Cole for toughing it out, i can only imagine how the people in the back must have felt.
anyone been checking wrestler's twitter accounts? im sure they are posting things.
