I haven't posted here in over a year. Crazy. I'm usually over on reddit.
This is the most insane thing right now. The match where he faints is actually on TV right at this moment. Sorta strange knowing what's going to happen- pacific time feed.

Memphis Wrestling @memphisrasslin Jerry was clinically dead for awhile before being brought back to life by a defibilator. #PrayForLawler WOW...at a loss for words. They also confirmed it was a heart attack. So does that mean his life is still at risk? Oh yeah, just because they got him stable doesn't mean he's out of the woods. He could easily have complications, or even several more heart attacks. There's no idea how bad the attack weakened his heart.

Its being said that he was clinically dead for up to 20 minutes. While he is stable now, it makes me wonder if there is/was any long term damage done to him while he was gone.

You really shocked though? This is a guy that admitted he tried to kill Vic Grimes in that scaffolding match in XPW. Nobody should even listen to what New Jack says. The guy is just trying to get a reaction. Everyone should just ignore him. He made no impact in wrestling, and was an unsafe worker.

That was the eeriest & most worrying wrestling show I've ever watched. I honestly thought we had a death announcement on our hands with Cole's initial statement. My heart was racing & my hands were shaking.
Much respect to the talent, especially Michael Cole for being able to continue the show in such a calm manner.
It looks like Jerry will be OK. Best wishes.

His heart could have taken damage, he could have brain damage from loss of oxygen. There's a lot of bad things that could have happened, if the clinically dead info is accurate. Sadly we won't know at least until tomorrow, maybe even longer.

He's not out of the woods, but there's hope. I mean, look at Michael Clarke Duncan. He had a heart attack in July, and never fully recovered. I absolutely DO NOT mean that Lawler is facing the same thing, nor do I wish it to happen. It's just the reality of the situation. I'm truly hoping he pulls through. As a younger fan, his voice is part of the soundtrack to my childhood.

Honestly, I've video of the part in the match several times, and I really do think, he's not just trying to get a reaction when he says he wanted to kill Grimes.

It's unreal to think that Jerry could have left this earth tonight. I couldn't imagine Raw without the king . #PrayerForLawler

I don't know if anyone posted this but if you watch the tag match you can hear some type of wheezing sound and then a scuffle. I truly hope Lawler pulls through. This could be the last night of Jerrys' commentating career. Scary how he's wrestling one minute then clinically dead about an hour later. I'm praying for you King.

I love this tweet from independent wrestler Sugar Dunkerton:
"We're not ready yet for the King to relinquish his throne. Get well, Lawler."

Is there a single person who is thinking it is a work?

Damn I hope he doesn't have any lingering health issues if he does indeed get better which I thought he already was.

From canoe.ca Sounds like a heart attack MONTREAL - During Monday Night Raw, announcer Jerry "The King" Lawler collapsed and ringside, was stretchered to the backstage area and is receiving CPR. "Jerry passed out here at ringside," said a distraught Michael Cole to the audience, Lawler's seat vacant beside him. "He was stretchered to the back." "He is receiving medical attention as we speak. They are performing CPR. And again, this is not, not part of tonight's entertainment," confirmed Cole. SLAM! Wrestling's Patric Laprade is at Raw at Montreal's Bell Centre, and filed this report: "Lawler grabbed his arm, collapsed and his face was blueish. Something like 7-8 people rushed to over to him, lifted him backstage. The medics were clearly told by the production to go backstage as they didn't want anything to happen in front of the fans. "Right after, people were running everywhere, not seeming to know what to do exactly. Cole looked like he saw a ghost and seemed very shaken. "The staff cleaned the floor near the announcers booth, I'm not sure if that's because he threw up or not. "There was definitely a moment of panic during those few minutes. "During every commercials, the fans here are chanting 'Jerry.' They didn't tell us anything here and what Cole said on TV about Lawler getting CPR in the back and that not being part of the show didn't air live." Twitter is going wild with the news, including a tweet from Lawler's long-time broadcast partner, Jim Ross: "I'm shaken by the news of my friend Jerry Lawler's medical emergency in Montreal. Hands shaking. Prayers for the King. I feel helpless." WWE.com posted a huge news alert: "During the tag team match between Kane & Daniel Bryan and The Prime Time Players tonight on Raw, viewers may have noticed members of the audience and WWE production team staring toward the commentary booth, as well as the absence of Jerry 'The King' Lawler’s voice. WWE.com has learned that the WWE Hall of Famer collapsed at the announcers' table and was tended to in the locker room area by WWE medical staff. Lawler was then taken from the arena to a medical facility in Montreal." Through its Twitter account, WWE announced that Lawler is going to have a CAT scan at the hospital and "more responsive" and "reacting to lights." The concluding segments of Raw have aired without commentary. I know someone who has had a fair share of seizures, and this is exactly what happens every time.

Sorry, I hadn't read the rest of the replies before I posted that. I can't believe he was clinically dead for twenty minutes. That's a long time. I wish I could be there after he's stable, awake, and feeling alright to just go there and ask how he's feeling, and thank him for everything.
