I know it is a tired subject, but one I enjoy. Who are some of the players who have yet to be elected to the Hall of Fame, that you think absolutely should be? Are their members of your favorite team who you think don't get enough consideration? Should the voting process change? Is there a bias against certain positions? Here are a few of the players that I think should be elected ASAP. Not going to just list them all, as to promote discussion. - Kevin Greene, Rams, Steelers, Panthers, 49ers: He may not have the tackle numbers that a lot of top linebackers do, but tacklers weren't an official NFL stat until after he retired. But his sack numbers were ridiculous, and he is third all-time on the NFL sack list ahead of current HOFers Lawrence Taylor, Chris Doleman, and Rickey Jackson. - Tim Brown, Raiders, Bucs: 9 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons. 4th in all-time receiving yards. 6th in all-time receiving touchdowns. 9 Pro Bowl selections. 5th in all-time receptions. The HOF hates receivers for some reason, almost as much as they hate defensive players - Steve Tasker, Bills, Oilers His stats as a Wide Receiver are absolutely unimpressive. However he may be the greatest special teams player in NFL history. Special Teams is largely ignored by everyone, but is a major part of the game, and he made a huge impact in games for years. - Claude Humphrey, Falcons, Eagles: Unfortunately sacks and tacklers were not official stats during his playing years. He has been "credited" with 126.5 sacks, which on todays list would tie him for 12th all-time with Hall of Famer Derrick Thomas. 1968 defensive rookie of the year, 6 pro bowls, and 2 first team all pro selections. He had the unfortunate circumstance for playing for the truly awful Falcons. he has been a finalist a few times, but he suffers from playing for terrible teams, despite his greatness on the field.

I cannot understand why Craig isnt in the Hall of Fame. -3 time Super Bowl Champion -NFL All Decade Team (80s) -4 time Pro Bowler -Arguably one of if not the best combo backs in the NFL (Playing Fullback and Halfback) -First player to Rush and Receive for 1000 yards, in the same year. -1988 AP Offensive Player of the Year -Ranks 37th all time in rushing, while not a super great ranking, still ahead of..... Larry Csonka, Gale Sayers, Leroy Kelly, and John Henry Johnson....All NFL Hall of Fame running backs.

I watched him a LOT as a teenager, and he was a very incredible and dynamic player. He was every bit as important to the 49ers offense as Montana and Rice, and without someone as talented as him, who knows how successful they would have been. He was a HOF finalist in 2010, so he has been getting looked at, but not enough. I think the problem is, they tend to just focus on the rushing yards instead of his total yards from scrimmage. But as you said, lesser accomplished RBs are in.

Cris Carter is the obvious one. He is definitely at the top of the list. For some reason they just do not give WRs the respect that other positions get. It inexplicably took Art Monk and James Lofton forever to get in. Michael Irvin took longer than he should have. Aside from the previously mentioned Tim Brown and Cris Carter, there are a bunch of others who should get better consideration. Sterling Sharpe, Gary Clarke, Henry Ellard, Andre Reed, and Drew Pearson should get a lot more consideration than they do.

First name I thought of was Andre Reed. Second was Cris Carter.
I'm a sucker for WRs.

Who playing RIGHT NOW is going to the Hall of Fame? Brady, Manning, Lewis and Moss I think are the obvious ones. One that I think will get shafted is Frank Gore. Roger Craig and Ricky Watters are potential Hall of Famers, Joe Perry, Hugh McElhenny, and John Henry Johnson are all in the Hall of Fame...All former 49er running backs....ALL behind Frank Gore on the 49ers All Time rushing list. I hope when the time comes Gore gets in but with Craig and Watters not getting in yet....I have my doubts. Of course I think Gore needs a title first too.

Yeah I am not sure Frank Gore is a HOF'er, not sure why he would be considered especially if you line him up with the others Kliquid listed, especially LT

No, Frank Gore is no where near being a Hall of Famer.

This might be a total homer thing to say, but I think Steven Jackson should definitely be considered for the hall of fame. He's a little less than 1000 yards shy of 10,000 and has rushed for 1000 plus yards for seven years in a row. And this has been for some of the worst teams in recent history.

Here's one for ya: Marvin Harrison. Yay or nay?
I mean the HOF hates wideouts, but he has the numbers. Although from what I hear he's a real-life version of Denzel from Training Day and has had at least one person murdered back in Philly, so there's that.

I think what hurts Steven Jackson is that he has never really been considered the best at his position at any time. I think for him to get in, he will need to continue to produce at this level for another 5 years or so, like Curtis Martin did. Here's one for ya: Marvin Harrison. Yay or nay? I mean the HOF hates wideouts, but he has the numbers. Although from what I hear he's a real-life version of Denzel from Training Day and has had at least one person murdered back in Philly, so there's that. The NFL HOF doesn't seem to have the same moral highground that the MLB one does. I think he should, and will get in. As weird and scary as the allegations are against him, that is all they are. It doesn't look like he will ever be arrested, tried, or convicted for them, for a lack of evidence. I think it would be a mistake to not include one of the greatest WR of all-time. I mean, they didn't kick out OJ.

I don't think Alexander will get in. He had 5 incredible seasons, but his other 4 were either not good or terrible. The main thing he has going for him is his very high rushing TD numbers, which puts him at #7 all-time which puts him in elite company. But with guys like Bettis and Watters not in, I don't think he gets in, and if he does, it will be a long time from now as feature backs are phased out and his stats look more impressive.

To people really think Ricky Watters is a HOF quality player? When I hear Ricky Watters I don't think of him as being one of the all time greats.
