You're seriously telling not one champion since 1987 has held the title over a year in a single reign EXCEPT John Cena & Savage?
That's God Damn Crazy... I'd love to see that list in terms of collective reigns. It would look ALOT DIFFERENT. lol

If he can hold on until the Royal Rumble he can beat the list with like 400+ days.
440 or something like that, I havn't really calculated it.
But it will be an awesome achievement and I hope he can achieve it.

I bet if Benoit held the title for long enough to be on this list they wouldn't include him anyway.
I really want Punk to be number 1. It would be awesome for an Indy star to become the longest reigning WWE Champion in the last 25 years

I hope Punk holds it till Rumble. Making the belt more prestigious with longer reigns is always a good idea. I bet if Benoit held the title for long enough to be on this list they wouldn't include him anyway.

I imagine they'll do a World Title list at some stage, if they include Benoit, it will be a small image with his name next to it like most on here.

^ Was he the champ in the past 25 years? This only counts from 1987 onwards

But it will be an awesome achievement and I hope he can achieve it. It would reach 435 days come Royal Rumble time. That would be amazing for him to reach that mark. Honestly, I don't see him losing it until then (which I have no problem with). The company is constantly mentioning the steady climb of his reign; it would be somewhat murderous for him to lose it before he tops everyone on that graphic, IMO, especially with how much he's been going after Cena (the lengthiest title holder in that list) these days.

lol if they included all WWE Champions Sammartino, Hogan, and Backlund would make Punk and Cena's reigns look very short.

That graphic is class. Hopefully they do a similar one with the whole history of the Championship.
Anybody else suprised with where Triple H sits on the list? He's always slated for having more power backstage than the other guys, however this list would suggest otherwise.
And like the majority on here, I am pulling for Punk to hold out untill the Royal Rumble.

Had no idea Sammartino won the title more than once. I always thought he just had that one super long one. Crazy that he had two in the top five.
