bad guy™ Rick, Maggie, and Daryl are too central to the show to lose all three. As much as I hate to say it, the producers need to consider recasting the roles. It could save the show or it could be that final jump the shark moment that kills it, but I think the show would be dead anyway after season 9 without Rick, Maggie , and Daryl.

bad guy™ Rick, Maggie, and Daryl are too central to the show to lose all three. As much as I hate to say it, the producers need to consider recasting the roles. It could save the show or it could be that final jump the shark moment that kills it, but I think the show would be dead anyway after season 9 without Rick, Maggie , and Daryl. I'm not so sure. Say Daryl stays, there's NO reason why they can't refocus the series on newer people as leads. Jadis can be a leader. Cyndie can be a leader. Aaron can be a leader. They just need to flesh out the characters while focusing on how to write out Rick and Maggie who we KNOW are leaving. They're all characters that can be believed and the fans could, eventually, get behind after they bitch and moan. And they're also characters everyone with a name on the canvas has respect for. I don't think they should recast. And I don't think they can afford to bring in a new person to right the ship. But of the three, I think Cyndie has the most on screen charisma to lead a group, with Aaron being her moral compass. A basic reset. You look at it like the beginning of the series, when Rick was alone and trusted a man, Glenn, he should have probably shot on sight and thus Rick was brought into the group, and as a result they survived the initial Quarry horde. Cyndie has been all alone with the women of Oceanside. Until Tara found them, they had no dealings with anyone since the Saviors wiped them. When Aaron and Enid came, they should have been killed on sight by Natasha and Cyndie. They weren't. Now Aaron has brought Cyndie into the fold, and her leading Oceanside into battle against the Saviors...her choice to trust a moral compass single handedly saved Hilltop. It's not a totally different situation. And it's not like Cyndie has been without loss, or without blood on her hands. The more I think on it, I think she'd be a perfect leader with more focus on Aaron, Jadis, Negan, Carol, Ezekiel, Tara, Alden, and Sadiq as the lead side characters depending on the week.

This is my prediction for season 10 without Rick or Maggie. Daryl and Negan will just bro out every episode.

I’ve watched the last couple seasons more out of part of a routine than for actual enjoyment. I’ve watched since the beginning so why stop now? Losing Rick will be the beginning of the end. I can see it working for a little bit with Daryl as the lead, but the show may start to overstay it’s welcome by then.

I can't see the show lasting more then a season or two if they lose all 3 maybe 1 but not all 3. They've lost big characters in the past but never this many big names in one season after losing Carl last season. For the leader role if none of the three are there any longer I think I would have to go with Michonne and Eugene/Rosita. We know what Michonne brings and I think after what Eugene did in the finale and if he can get a little braver which I think will happen he might be able to be more reliable as a leader. Its my favorite show so I'll still watch no matter what happens but its gonna take along time to get use to it. I'm still struggling to get past Glenn and Abraham.

I just don't see the show going on much longer especially without Rick. I've been a fan since the beginning so I'll continue to watch. Hoping for the best.

Another good episode of Fear tonight this year has been great imo. If Rick and Maggie leaves TWD I like for them to bring Dorie and Naomi on and bring Morgan back or just combine the two shows somehow.

No Rick, no Walking Dead. I think this is the opinion of a ton of people. The show is already in the decline stages of its product lifecycle. Rick, Michonne and Daryl are the trinity but Rick is the middle of the trident. This is literally supposed to be Rick's story. So they kill Carl who can't serve as the Robb Stark/Jon Snow to Rick's Ned Stark, and now they're going to lose the centerpiece of the show, and Maggie is out as well. I think the easy option is to let Negan replace Rick as the alpha male leader and do his full face turn. Supernatural has survived 14 seasons on 2 million-ish hardcore fans and that's what Walking Dead is likely going to be left with for Season 10. So it's really just a matter of reducing the budget and carrying on. Walking Dead has just had its run. It was a good run. It was a massive run. But now we're seeing the end of that run and we're entering the shows twilight years. FEAR has really been their product extension. The hardcore audience seems to be really happy with that show and that's a key factor for keeping the ship sailing. You either go out with a bang, and on top, like Game of Thrones, or you go out like Ric Flair, losing to guys like Matt Morgan in TNA.

What do you guys think was the peak of TWD?

What do you guys think was the peak of TWD? For me, it was the prison arc. The Negan/Saviors story started off on fire but fizzled a bit as it dragged on probably a half season longer than it should have and ended with a whimper instead of a bang.

What do you guys think was the peak of TWD? I would have to go with the beginning of the Negan/Saviors angle. We got the biggest villain of the series so far, arguable the biggest death till that point with Glenn and thats not even counting losing Abraham and Sasha and then we got all the new groups with the Kingdom,Hilltop,Oceanside and Junk People but like King Richius said it went on to long and we didnt get the Governor death scene with Negan so I do think that hurts the last part of the Saviors angle but I still enjoyed it.

I personally love the back half of season 4, I know a lot of people don’t, but it was phenomenal character stuff in those episodes.
Plus, there’s still nothing cooler than Rick ripping out Joe’s throat with his teeth.

Fear The Walking Dead is freaking brutal and I mean that in the best way possible. I cannot think of another show that has been so ruthless with the killing of popular/main characters.
It makes me nervous to actually get attached to characters and I think that makes watching the show so much more nerve wracking as you never know what they are going to do.

I really enjoyed the first half of season four, which is new for me as I can't say much good about the first three seasons of FTWD. The story they told was well written, the acting was excellent, and I like how they cleaned house of the old plots and old characters I wasn't sympathetic towards. I'm not sorry to see Nick and Madison leave because John, Al, Naomi/Laura/June, and Morgan are all much better characters imho. It was a completely different show and all the better for it.
