Dropping the title? No more push? What the are you guys talking about.. CM Punk did what any WWE superstar would have done getting surrounded by rowdy fans in a planned segment. He may have struck the wrong person, but that doesn't mean he wasn't justified in doing so. He was being shoved, smacked, and the final straw was getting hit in the back of the head.. WWE is at fault for letting Punk flee into the audience without security around. He is not in trouble, he will not be punished.. He will not lose his title or his push.. tbh, some of you guys need to get a clue. This. I don't know why everyone is getting so worked up. All this he's fired, his push is gone, he's dropping the title stuff is just ridiculous.

lol nah man, it's not a path of rage. more like a path of morality But Chris Jericho punched a girl in the face and you stood up for him, but dislike Punk's abuse! It's so silly. Well like I said, if Punk had hit the right person then maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Hitting an innocent guy is so much worse.

WWE wrestlers hit people who jump the barricade and into the ring. NFL players tackle fans who run across the field.
Same concept. Plus TMZ and other main entertainment outlets haven't even mentioned this incident
I think WF is more PG than the WWE. He's not getting fired / suspended / etc.

Hitting an innocent guy is so much worse. So you think punching a woman isn't as bad as understandably mistaking this guy for hitting him? The guy knocked Punk in the head, even if it was because of the guy behind him, Punk isn't to know that.

The only thing to come of this will be wrestlers not going over the barricade.
The sunglasses guy hits Punk. Unintentionally yes but he still hit him.

He didn't hit someone who jumped the barricade, that would be more understandable, he hit someone in the crowd, who (even if he'd got the right guy) really didn't do all that much to provoke him.

How the is being shoved 2 times and once on the back of the head not "much to provoke him"?

So you think punching a woman isn't as bad as understandably mistaking this guy for hitting him? The guy knocked Punk in the head, even if it was because of the guy behind him, Punk isn't to know that. Depends on how violent the woman was. Not only that, but it's not even clear what Jericho does. He may have pie-faced her. The footage isn't great. Also, I like how you left out what the woman was doing. She tries to attack Jericho (unlike the fan Punk hit) and spits on him. And what Punk did is not understandable. You can't just snap like that. Like I said, if he felt it was necessary to defend himself then it's arguable he had his rights. But he doesn't even make sure it's the right guy. If Punk doesn't know who hit him, he shouldn't have done anything. As I said before, it wasn't a life or death situation or anything.

Plus if you watch the video, Punk got pushed before that on two occasions, where he had to use the rail to stop him falling down the stairs.
All the blame isn't on Punk, it's on the douchebag fans that pushed him (nearly) down the stairs.

"Hit" is completely blowing it out of proportion. He elbowed Punk in back of the head pretty much. Unintentional maybe but Punk clearly didn't know at the time,he got hit in back of the head, turned around saw a guy with his elbows up.

How the is being shoved 2 times and once on the back of the head not "much to provoke him"? It wasn't exactly like anyone properly shoved him with any real force. I mean let's face it wrestlers go into the crowd all the time, I imagine they get nudged and shoved to some extent all the time, why is Punk so special that he doesn't have to control himself in that situation. Nothing in that video warranted him turning round and hitting the guy.

i guess im from the old school but am i the only one that as a FAN i know my boundaries and if a wrestler is on the stairs in front of me it's just common sense to NOT try and shove him down the stairs???
i dont care if he's a "heel" or not....you dont make any moves to push or shove someone who is out there trying to ENTERTAIN you.

"Hit" is completely blowing it out of proportion. Doesn't matter. Even grazed. Back, arms ok but why would you even be near the guys head.
