A number of top talents have approached Vince McMahon in recent weeks voicing their concern over WWE's current product according to PWInsider.com.
One of the top talents had a verbal back and forth with McMahon in front of everyone. In this exchange, the talent basically told Vince the writing sucks and that McMahon doesn't have his finger on the pulse of things anymore. Since McMahon is out of touch with wrestling in 2012, the talent told him he needs to start listening to people around him. The final note was the talent saying when WWE goes to "hell in a handbasket" it will be all Vince's fault.
As of this time, the identity of the talent hasn't been confirmed to the point of being able to name them according to PWInsider.
McMahon's top stars, along with pressure from NBC Universal to fix the ratings is said to be a huge slap in McMahon's face. This all played a factor in McMahon making drastic changes.
Reportedly this is only the beginning and more changes are coming. ~Wrestlezone Apparently this talent is yet to be named at the moment.
My vote is on Orton.

Orton, Cena or Punk is the question basically, It could be either one of them. But if it was Punk or Orton im pretty sure they would be named straight away, Cena has my vote

It was most likely Punk. The whole pulse comment and being out of touch thing sounds like something Punk would say. Plus, aside from Cena, Punk is probably one of the guys that has the most pull in WWE right now. He's secure enough to be honest with Vince.

Saddest thing is the fact that they have so much talent and they have no idea how to use it to get people properly over. Same stale repetitive garbage. I'm glad they are speaking up. Punk vs McMahon is a start... but its been a while since we've seen a strong stable or something as a legit threat to guys like Cena, Orton and Sheamus. Lets see if we can come up with anything interesting... whats the worst that can happen? They erase history enough times that if something sucks, "it didn't happen" anyway.

Keep punk out of that stable.

For one thing It's not Snitsky's fault the ratings are falling. All joking aside, it's probably Cena or someone who is stuck in the attitude era

Hopefully it was Cena. Then there's a chance of us not having Cena vs. Punk again. Either way, I'm glad someone stood up to him.

Cena, since he is tired of being the same boring baby face for a while now.
