Greetings. I'm new to this forum but I've been fantasy booking at other locations and would like to bring some of my work here to this forum so that you guys can enjoy it as well.
As the subject line suggests I'll be redoing the WCW Invasion storyline from 2001. We've seen how it was done in the real world, let's see how it unfolds in my alternate universe.

This time period is precious to me, for Judgment Day 2001 was the first actual pay-per-view event I watched. From there, I was gone on my way to being a dedicated wrestling fan. Not a lot to comment on so far, but a good starting point - just a tip, don't rush straight into the InVasion, let it play out slowly with the WCW guys slowly seeping their way into the company. The layout may need some work: try using a different font, and including a logo picture. Apart from that, looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

May 21, 2001 - San Jose, CA
Raw comes on the air but we skip the opening video and fireworks as Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his way to the ring, still in posession of his WWF Championship as well as his tag team title.
JR: “Ladies and gentlemen, as you can see Raw Is War is starting off with a bang. Jim Ross and Paul Heyman at ringside live from the Compaq Center as we're 24 hours removed from one of the most burtal pay-per-views in recent memory. As you can see Stone Cold Steve Austin is still WWF Champion after surviving an intense no-holds-barred match with The Undertaker but in my opinion, Austin would have lost the title if not for Mr. McMahon and Triple H.”
Heyman: “JR, I agree with you that Austin is a very lucky man to survive the Undertaker's onslaught last night.”
After Austin takes some time to pose on the turnbuckles and jaw with the fans he finally gets on the mic.
Austin: “Just in case you idiots out there forgot who I am, my name is Stone Cold Steve Austin, and I am your WWF Champion! That's right, still your WWF Champion! I betcha all though that the Undertaker was gonna beat my (*bleep*) last night and take away my title. Eh-Eh! Stone Cold Steve Austin proved once again that I am a man's man, a champion of champions and the greatest World Wrestling Federation Champion ever! As far as the Undertaker goes, I'm done with you, Dead Man, you get no more title shots. You hear me, Dead Man? It's over! Now I want each and every one of you jack(*bleep*) to take a good look at my belt, because I reporesent each and every one of you as WWF Champion and I cannot be stopped! And I want to serve notice to the rest of the WWF...”
****"BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!"****
Chris Jericho makes his way out the stage as Austin looks on, a little surprised that Jericho would dare interupt him.
Jericho: “Stone Cold Steve Austin, I believe I speak for all the Jericaholics in the crowd when I say would you please SHUT THE HECK UP! Austin, for four months the question has been 'Why did Stone Cold sell his soul and join forces with Vince McMahon?' To tell you the truth, junior, I really don't give a rat's (*bleep*) why. All I know is that as a result you achevied the impossible because you became an even bigger s(*bleep*) than Stephanie! As far as tonight is concerned, Junior, it's time for the Two-Man Power Trip to become two-time losers when Chris Benoit and Y2J beat you for the tag team titles! And I guarantee that neither you nor Triple H will ever, ever be the same again!”
Austin: “That's some pretty tough talk coming from a little yella-belly b(*bleep*). Why don't you come in the ring and back it up?”
Jericho: “As a matter of fact, I'm going to...right now!!”
Jericho rushes the ring and Austin gets in the first shots but Jericho soon starts turning things around against the Rattlesnake. However Triple H runs in the ring to make it 2-on-1 against Jericho but Chris Benoit also runs out to even the sides up. Eventually Austin and Triple H bail from the ring and a swarm of referees come out to keep the two sides separated.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
JR: “Welcome back to Raw and we're still buzzing over the confrontation that took place just moments ago. We can now confirm that Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho, the winners of last night's Tag Team Turmoil match will indeed challenge the Two-Man Power Trip for the Tag Team Titles.”
Heyman: “Benoit and Jericho won't back down from Stone Cold and Triple H but they better be ready to bring it later tonight.”
{BACKSTAGE}
We find Steve Austin and Triple H complaing about said confrontation to Vince McMahon.
Austin: “Did you see that? Who does that little son of a b(*bleep*) think he is, jumping my interview time? You know how valuable it is? My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin and I don't deserve it.”
Triple H: “Yeah, and who does Benoit think he is? In fact who do Jericho and Benoit think they are jumping us? We do what we want and if we want to be Jericho's (*bleep*) we will.”
Vince: “Look would you please calm down, okay-”
Triple H: “Calm down? After what happened last night when I lost the Intercontinential title-”
Vince: “Hey, we're not going to talk about last night, okay? We've got tonight to worry about since you two have a tag team title defense. Yes we lost the Intercontinential title but we can't lose the tag titles as well. So just try to get your heads together.”
= Match #1 = WWF Hardcore Championship Match Rhyno © vs. Test | Rhyno gets in the first shots and goes for a whip but Test reverses him into a corner and hits a clothesline. Test catches it but tosses it back to Rhyno and boots it into his face. Test hits the pump-handle slam a second time and gets the 1..2..3 for the title! | Your Winner by pinfall and NEW Hardcore Champion: Test (4:55) |

We find a number of the lower to mid-card wrestlers conversing when Kurt Angle struts into the room with a big smile on his face and his Olympic gold medals once again around his neck.
Angle: “How is everybody doin' today? Now I know all of you are just itchin' to congradulate me on beating Chris Benoit to win back my rightful Olympic gold medals [which he holds up] last night. I'm sure all of you have heard about my big Olympic medal ceremony reenactment later tonight and you'll all be huddled around the monitors back here hanging on every moment. I know the fans in this second-class city who get to witness this moment will have something to talk about for generations to come. Let me tell you, just talking about it gives me the chills. Well I have to head out and get ready for the big moment.”
Angle walks off whistling while the other wrestlers are left just shaking their heads as we go to commercial.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
{BACKSTAGE}
We get a close-up of the Women's Title then pan back as we find Lita standing in front of a mirror admiring the new championship belt draped over her shoulder. Several seconds later Matt and Jeff Hardy walk in the room ready to congradulate their friend.
Matt: “There she is, Jeff, the now two-time Women's Champion”
Lita smiles as she slaps hands with Matt and Jeff who show off their respective titles as well.
Matt: “And how great is it that the three of us are all title holders, making Team Xtreme the gold standard once again?”
However the celebraton takes a turn when a familiar voice is heard offscreen.
???: “Hey there, Ms. Women's Champion!”
That voice belongs to Eddie Guerrero who struts in the room but before can get too close to Lita Matt steps in his way
Matt: “What do you want, Eddie?”
Eddie: “Hey, easy, Holmes. I just want to give my congraulations to the new Women's Champion. You know, Lita, it's not every woman who can step in the ring with Chyna and not only stand toe-to-toe but also pin her to the mat 1..2..3. Of course I'd know a little bit of that myself.”
Matt: “Is there anything else, Eddie?”
Eddie: “Hey, man, why you always have to be so hostile? I mean what did I do to you, except be on your guys' side all this time?”
Lita: “Matt, it's okay. I really appreciate the gesture, Eddie, thank you.”
Eddie: “You're welcome, Lita. I'm glad somebody appreciates what I do for you guys. Besides, essa, don't you have other things to worry about, like holding on to your title tonight against X-Pac?”
Jeff: “He's right, Matt. I think your're up next so let's head out.”
Matt: “Okay, let's go. All three of us.”
Eddie: “Okay, homie. Don't forget I have your back as always.”

Austin: “Whatdaya mean ya don't know where my wife is?!”
Regal: “I'm sure where ever she is she's perfectly fine. Although...”
Austin: “Although what?!”
Regal: “Although I did see The Undertaker in the building earlier. I do certainly hope that Debra hasn't been, you know...”

{BACKSTAGE}
We find Molly Holly and Spike Dudley sitting together on an anvil case and talking.
Molly: “Spike, I just wanted to say I'm sorry about what my cousins did last night, getting involved in Tag Team Turmoil and getting your brothers eliminated like that.”
Spike: “It's okay, Molly, you had nothing to do with it.”
Molly: “But now Crash and Hardcore are fighting Bubba and D'Von tonight and I, I'm just worried...”
Spike: “Molly, I don't want you to feel bad about it. The Hollys, the Dudleys, they're both fighters and there's nothing anyone can do to stop them from fighting. But, I do have a good luck present for you for tonight.”
Molly perks up as Spike pulls out a pair of Dudley-style frames.
Spike: “Here you go, Molly. Wear them with pride.”
Molly giggles as she slips on the frames and the two walk off together.
{ELSEWHERE BACKSTAGE}
We find the Dudleys watching this on a monitor and reacting with disgust.
Bubba: “Can you believe this, D'Von, our own brother wants to spend all his time with that.”
D'Von: “Normally I'd be happy with Spike finally finding a girl that isn't repulsed by him, but a Holly?”
Bubba: “Well, we'll deal with Spike later as we have bigger things to worry about. Had it not been for those two country hicks last night we could have been the ones challenging Stone Cold and Triple H for the Tag Team Titles tonight. But what's done is done and now it's up to us to dispense some justice, Dudleyville style.”
D'Von: “Oh, my brother, Testify!”
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
{BACKSTAGE}
We find Matt Hardy recovering in the lockerroom and holding his shoulder with Jeff and Lita standing nearby. It isn't long until Eddie Guerrero walks into the scene.
Eddie: “Hey, Matt, are you okay? How's your shoulder doing?”
Matt: “It's fine, thank you.”
Eddie: “Well don't worry, vato, we'll get even for you. I just talked to Commissioner Regal and got a match signed, me and Jeff against Albert and Justin Credible.”
The Hardys and Lita seem surprised by this news.
Eddie: “And Matt, since you did such a good title in your title defense, why don't you stay in the back while me and Jeff take care of business.”
Matt: “Jeff, are you cool with this?”
Eddie: “I can't believe this, man! What, I've gotta prove myself to you guys again?!”
Jeff: “Eddie, relax, I'm cool with it. Let's go get ready for that match.”
Eddie: “You're right. I'll always be there for you guys. You know, Lita, you're welcome to join us, too.”
Lita: “I can handle this, Matt, You just stay back here and relax.”
Matt: “Okay, cool. Go take care of business.”

Hardcore tags in and gets in his shots then goes for a whip but D'Von reverses it and hits the jumping elbow. Bubba sends D'Von out for a table and D'Von has one in hand when Molly begs him not to slide it in the ring. Spike gets Molly out of harm's away and argues with D'Von when Crash dropkicks the table into both of them. Hardcore DDTs Bubba and Crash grabs the ringbell but Molly takes it from him while telling him not to use it. However Hardcore snatches the bell from Molly and cracks Bubba in the head with it and that gets the pin. | Your Winners by pinfall: The Hollys (5:33) |
Crash and Hardcore then thank Molly for her "help" even though Molly isn't too happy with what happened.
{BACKSTAGE}
We find Kurt Angle rambling to a somewhat disinterested Edge & Christian about his Olympic reenactment.
Angle: “I'm telling you guys, my Olympic celebration will be the best. I'd even go so far as to say that it'll, as you crazy Canucks would say, reek of awesomeness.”
E&C try to act like they care.
Angle: “And hey, I just though of a way to make it even more special. How about if Christian, you stand on the silver platform, and Edge, you stand on the bronze. That way, it'll look more official.”
Edge: “You know, Kurt, I have a way to make it that much more special. How about not!”
Angle: “Why not? Oh, I get it, if I'm up there alone the spotlight will be just on me! Wow, you guys are awesome friends, thanks!”
E&C pretend to go along with it.
Angle: “I have to go get ready for it, but be sure to watch, guys.”
Angle heads out while E&C both chuckle.
Christian: “He sure is a special guy, isn't he?”
Edge: “(sigh) Yep, you said it.”
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
Back from break we find the Dudleys and Spike trying to recover from the earlier match with Bubba holding his head while D'Von is screaming about Molly.
D'Von: “I can't believe that Molly Holly! That no good-”
Spike: “D'Von, it was an accident, Molly didn't mean to cost us the match! ”
D'Von: “Spike, I saw it with my own eyes! I saw her hand the bell over to them!”
Spike: “I'm telling you it was an accident!”
D'Von: “Let me tell you someting, Spike. Me and Bubba have been here a lot longer than you have. We know who to trust and who not to trust, and the Hollys just can't be trusted. ”
Spike: “It didn't go down like that. Molly didn't mean to help them. It was a accident, I swear it was.”
Bubba then stands before Spike and looks down on him with an angry expression.
Bubba: “For her sake, and yours, you'd better hope we're wrong.”
{IN-RING}
A trio of American flags and a medals platform have been set up as Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring all smiles as he get on the mic.
Angle: “Ladies and gentlemen, this is my night, and since time is precious in the WWF I will try to be brief.”
On that note Angle unfurles a scroll and proceeds to read from it as 'Angle sux' chants erupt from the crowd.
Angle: “What is a hero? A hero is someone that people look up to, if not worship. A hero is someone who is clearly superior to the common man. A hero is someone people pay perfectly good money to sit in an arena or watch at home, and think... 'wow, I wish I was more like him.' And I know that you people don't have many heroes in your lives...well, it's your lucky day. Because you are looking at a genuine true-life hero. To win Olympic gold is one thing, but to have your medals stolen, and soiled against human genatalia...and to win them back in a grueling two-out-of-three fall epic, well that my friends isn't just special...it's darn well awe inspiring. Which brings us to tonight, and tonight, to commemorate my glorious achievement... ”
Another 'Angle sux' chant erupts from the crowd.
Angle: “Oh no I don't! I'm an Olympic champion, it's true! Tonight, I will recreate my Olympic winning victory ceremony. And I would hope that you people would have as much respect as the good citizens of Atlanta had when I won these babies five years ago. So without any further ado, let the awards ceremony commence.”
As the Olympic theme starts up confetti falls from the ceiling as Angle takes his place on the top platform and fights back the tears. However just as the song concludes....
****"HERE COMES THE MONEY!"****
Sure enough Shane McMahon makes his way to ringside and Angle is not happy with this intrusion.
Angle: “What are you doing here?”
Shane: “Kurt, sorry for the interruption, but I was in the area so I figured that I'd stop by. Now Kurt, you said that time is precious here in the World Wrestling Federation and that is true, so let me get right down to it. Now Kurt, you have your three I's, but I also have three letters. And those letters are W-C-W. And I just wanted to address the rumors-”
Angle: “So you're interupting my Olympic ceremony just to talk about WCW? Nobody cares! What people care about is my awards ceremony! So do you mind?”
Shane: “What I was trying to say, Kurt, is that a lotta rumors have been going on so concerning WCW, and basically what I wanted to come out here to say is that WCW is starting very soon.”
Angle: “Okay, I'm in the middle of my reenactment and you're going to come out here just to say WCW is staring up soon. Big whoop! Now will you please get out of here so I can finish my ceremony?”
Shane: “Actually, Kurt, I was finished but now you've inspired me to take this time and talk about what WCW stands for.”
Angle contines to stare at Shane in anger as Shane continues talking.
Shane: “Now many know that WCW stands for World Championship Wrestling. And now that I think about it, that kind of description fits you, Kurt. You're good at wresting, you've been a champion one or twice and possibly the best in the world. I'd venture to say you'd be a perfect fit for-”
Angle: “Whoa, whoa, whoa, I see what you're doing here. You're going to try and convince me to jump to WCW, right? Well, forget it! I'm prefectly happy here working for your father Mr. McMahon and so is everyone else in the WWF. So, sorry, but no sale.”
Shane: “If that's what you think, Kurt. But I will say this. As I mentioned WCW stands for World Championship Wrestling, which is what people can expect very soon, perhaps sooner than anyone thinks.”
While Shane is talking he climbs to the top of the medals platform.
Shane: “As for you, Kurt, WCW may hold a different meaning for you. Maybe in your case WCW could stand for 'world class (wiping a fake tear away) wussy.”
Angle finally has enough of this and throws Shane off the top platform into a sea of confetti with the Olympic Slam! Angle then slaps the Anklelock on Shane and Shane taps the mat before Angle releases it and leaves him laying while telling him to take that back to WCW.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
{BACKSTAGE}
We find Kurt Angle meeting with Vince McMahon.
Vince: “Look, Kurt, on behalf of the McMahon family I just want to apologize for your Olympic ceremony getting interupted like that. I've had Shane thrown out of the building and again I apologize.”
Angle: “I appreciate it, Mr. McMahon. I just hope you're not mad at me for putting Shane in the Anklelock.”
Vince: “Mad? What I'm mad about is why you didn't break Shane's ankle while you had him in the Anklelock? The next time you have that opportunity, I wanna hear that snap, crackle, pop.”
Angle: “I get what you're saying, Mr. McMahon.”
Vince: “And the way you stood up for the WWF when he try to get you to jump to WCW, that just warms my heart.”
Angle: “I hope Shane tells his WCW buddies that they can expect more of the same if they show their face around here.”
Vince: “You know what, since you've got your gold back, tonight I wanna reward you by giving you the opportunity for more gold.”
Angle: “Thank you, Mr. McMahon! Thank you!”
Vince: “Tonight it'll be you going for the Intercontinential Championship against Kane!”
Vince shakes Angle's hand then walks off.
Angle: “Thank you....I think.”

Austin: “Debra, you have to put yourself in my shoes. I come in here, you ain't nowehere to be found-”
Debra: “Steve, I'm sorry!”
Austin: “-And I run into the Commissioner who said The Undertaker was here and maybe the crazy son of a b(*bleep*) grabbed you. I'm just glad to see that everything's okay-”
But almost on cue Undertaker bursts into the room and gets in Debra's face.
Taker: “You scared, woman? You sure better be!”
Taker then turns and stands nose-to-nose with Austin.
Taker: “It ain't over, son. It ain't over between me and you. It ain't over 'til I say it's over. You see, you made this thing personal - it ain't about the WWF title anymore, all right? This thing's personal. You hear what I'm telling you? It's like I told you before, you mess with my family, and I hurt you. And last night I hurt you, I beat you, and deep down inside, you know it. But listen to what I'm telling you now - if you ever decide to bring my family into this again (sniff, look to Debra)....I'm gonna show you what it's like to step on somebody's family. You got a problem with that?”
Austin: (makes some sort of noise)
Taker: “That's what I thought.”
Taker heads out while Austin turns back toward his wife.
Austin: “You see what I'm talking about? Him busting in on you like this? You know why I didn't whip him? Because you were right there. I would have beaten Taker's (*bleep*) if you weren't here but was concerned about your safety and I ain't gonna put my wife in jeopardy!”

WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 21st May 2001...Alright, I'm feeling pretty optimistic about this diary. I like the dialogue, but it makes things look more complicated to read and untidy. Stone Cold Steve Austin's heel persona as WWF Champion was captured beautifully however, and with Chris Jericho's response, it's safe to say that you have dialogue executed perfectly. I just don't think it's too greatly necessary, though honestly. It did however provide a nice set-up as we get ready for the WWF Tag Team Championship match later on tonight with Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit (most inevitably) beating the Two-Man Power-Trip. I hope that we gain some understanding as to why Jericho and Benoit have decided to team though, after being rivals a few months ago. Lots of "bleeps". I do like the idea of Triple H and Steve Austin's partnership potentially breaking down, but as long as they don't go back into feuding like maniacs again, after (like with Benoit and Jericho) feuding malicious a few months ago. Nice format for matches, I'd fix it up a little bit though - maybe take away the amount of spaces - surely the time and name of the winner doesn't have to be given its' own individual row. It could just as easily be done on one line. Test wins the WWF Hardcore Championship? Interesting, but Test was getting a push here, so no objections. I'm really hoping that Rhyno doesn't get lost in the shuffle from here. Kurt Angle's bragging segment amused me. Obvious Shane McMahon run-in is obvious. Hey, you remembered Eddie Guerrero trying to become a part of Team Xtreme! I love it. Maybe "Latino Heat" could span a feud with Matt Hardy over Lita...That's something. Up next, decent win for Edge and Christian against the APA (they'd stopped going as the "Acolytes" by this point, by the way), after both teams competed in the tag team turmoil match last night. No angles spanned from it? Strange, but alright. When do the King of the Ring preliminary matches begin? Debra goes missing? Intriguing. Wow, the Undertaker wants more from Austin - that could be cool I guess. Decent win for Matt Hardy against X-Pac in this WWF European Championship match - RAW was infamous for having several titles on the line in one night back here. Haha, wow, X-Factor stepped in to save X-Pac, and Eddie Guerrero made the save? Guess that's his face-turn for the Hardy Boyz fulfilled. Looking forward to seeing how you handle the Spike Dudley and Molly Holly relationship. More Hardy Boyz/Eddie Guerrero segments, setting the groundwork for their alliance. The Holly Cousins beat the Dudley Boyz? Strange call - not a fan of the ring bell being used though, a victory roll would have been much more ideal. Where was the referee in the finish of that match? Additionally, the fact that the Dudleys introduced a table and didn't follow up in using it made no sense, although Bubba Ray Dudley getting clocked with a ring bell makes it alright, I suppose. I always loved Team ECK's relationship. Where was Rhyno here? The Dudleys splitting apart from Spike I see! Finally, their heel turn. Great promo with Kurt Angle's Olympic Ceremony being interrupted by Shane McMahon as in real life, but I do like that Angle gave Shane some comeuppance. Vince McMahon putting Kurt Angle against Kane? These guys were on close terms here...I don't think Vince would do that to poor Kurty. Eh, it's one way to potentially get the WWF Intercontinental Championship away from Kane I suppose. My only con to that is that we're getting four title matches tonight - pace it out a little bit, and don't rush the title off of Kane. Debra and her lies. The Undertaker and Stone Cold's segment was greatly done, I hope 'Taker and Austin's next encounter for the WWF Championship is a gimmick match of some sort. Up next, Jeff Hardy and Eddie Guerrero beating Albert and Justin Credible was fine - it's strange to see Albert and Credible paired up though. I liked Eddie proving his ground for the Hardy Boyz' Team Xtreme spot. More tension in the WWF Tag Team Champions, huh. Hopefully Triple H doesn't get hurt tonight. Kane retaining the WWF Intercontinental Championship came as a surprise to me, but good call as Shane McMahon got payback on Angle - but after an Ankle Lock earlier tonight, I don't think Shane would be running to the ring. Lovely segment with Benoit and Jericho explaining to the viewers why they are a function, followed up by a well-written main event. It was clear to me when it was announced that we'd have new WWF Tag Team Championships - I personally can't help but feel like the Intercontinental title match (that went RIGHT before this) may have overshadowed it, though. Good call though, and it's a shame that Triple H got hurt still - hopefully when he returns, he keeps the tension/heat with Austin intact. Overall, a great start show, it provided a good base for the diary, and proved yourself as a legitimate writer as opposed to the other airheads that just walk in here and book like Vince Russo. I'd mix up the layout a bit as it's so long (it shouldn't take around 500000 characters to write up a simple RAW is WAR episode - maybe pay-per-views, but not a TV show) and messy, and I'm not so sure on the dialogue (although you are so accurate with adopting a character's gimmick to a written promo) as it slows down the processes...if you simply fitted these into a paragraph for a segment, or explained it, I think people would be less intimidated by this show. Overall though, great job, hopefully you keep at this level.

May 24, 2001 - Anaheim, CA
Smackdown comes on the air with clips of the big tag team match on Monday, including Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho's victory and Steve Austin's vicious assault on Triple H afterward. We then go to the arena with Michael Cole and Tazz welcoming us to the show and saying how they're still buzzing about new tag team champions being crowned.
The Corpration theme music fires up heralding Vince McMahon's arrival as he head to the ring to address the fans, promising a historic night tonight in Anaheim. Vince mentions how history was made last Monday and calls it a miracle that Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H to become tag team champions. Vince the mentions how, due to the intensity of that tag team title matchup, Triple H suffered a severe leg injury when his quadracep was just about sliced in two, and of course it injury was further worsend when Mr. Austin vicisouly assaulted the leg with a steel chair. Vince says As a result Triple H is gonna be out of action for some four to six months and that draws a cheer from the crowd, which prompts Vince to ask how bloodthirsty the crowd is. Vince says he's not a vindictive man and offers to speak to Austin about why he put Triple H on the shelf. Vince then feels that Benoit and Jericho's tag title reign may be a little abbreviated, because tonight on Smackdown there will be a tag team championship matchup, but just not an ordinary tag team title match. Vince announces Benoit and Jericho will be facing the Dudleys Boyz...and The Hardy Boyz...and Edge & Christian and even announces it's also going to involve tables, ladders and chairs! Vince conforms that for the first time ever on broadcast television, a TLC tag team championship match! Vince hopes the fans will enjoy this TLC tag team title match as much as he will, Stone Cold will, and Triple H will. And Vince finally wraps up by suggesting that Benoit and Jericho are out of miracles.
Vince then leaves the ring while Cole, Tazz and the crowd buzz about the main event, a TLC match on Smackdown. Tazz says Benoit and Jericho were able to step up to the plate on Raw but can they man up again tonight. And instead of going to a commercial break we go right to the first match.

WWF SmackDown!: Thursday 24th May 2001...Decent way to kick off the show with Mr McMahon in the ring, discussing the new WWF Tag Team Championships and Triple H being injured. Stone Cold Steve Austin put him out? As much as there's more heat for Austin for doing such a dastardly act, I dislike that within under two months of their affiliation, the Two-Man Power-Trip already broke up. Nice set-up for the TLC III match, should be great even though I know that Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit won't be losing the titles tonight. I love the vocabulary you used for McMahon's promo by the way, very realistic. Mmmm, weak opening contest with Kane beating Steve Blackman: I think four minutes is way too long for the WWF Intercontinental Champion to beat someone honestly. I think it's about time you found something for Kane to do properly, rather than squash people. Cool introduction of Tajiri to the World Wrestling Federation audience, very nice segment with William Regal; they always had the best chemistry on-screen. Up next, fair explanation from Steven Richards bringing forth the demise of the Right to Censor. But what I liked was that he then got obliterated by Raven, classic stuff here. Give Raven some talk-time at some point, please. The Dudley Boyz' segment was nice...please stop "bleeping" everything, hahaha. And this is where Spike Dudley separates himself from the Dudleys, good call. How it goes from here should be interesting. Kurt Angle getting put against Test for the WWF Hardcore Championship? It's different I suppose; and since Test links to Shane McMahon, that's some classic 2001 booking. I liked the similar segment with the Holly Cousins and Molly Holly, almost identical to the Dudleys' segment. Great win for Test to get him more over, a good title defense against Kurt Angle, of course with help from Shane McMahon. I liked it. You should consider putting in some after match occurrences, so we know what happened afterwards, even if it was just a celebration. So we could see what emotion Angle was feeling, and what Shane did after the match. Albert scaring Tajiri made me laugh, and the match with Eddie Guerero sounds interesting. Surely X-Factor are miffed about not getting in on TLC III in the main event. Wow, good win for Eddie Guerrero against Albert thanks to Lita. Wow, Eddie doesn't hug Lita? Interesting call! Vince's meeting with Stone Cold was good, explaining his case to Vince. No hugging with the two? Awww! Hmm, tension in the Hardy Boyz...could be interesting, but slow down this a little bit. It's happening a little quickly. Wow, Crash and Hardcore Holly get the win against Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko? That's a surprise. I'm sure Terri and Molly had a nice catfight. I'm thinking there's not enough clean wins tonight, too much help from managers/valets. Rhyno killing Billy Gunn was fine, I wonder what he's going to do after losing the WWF Hardcore Championship. And lastly, fantastic Tables, Ladders and Chairs match with Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho managing to defeat the Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian & the Hardy Boyz to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. Solid show, I enjoyed it highly. I'd say there should be more star powered matches though, the show seemed forgettable outside of TLC III. The newer layout looks a lot better, too.

Vince agrees to the title shot just to please Linda and the Board of Directors but tells Undertaker that this is his last shot at the WWF Championship. Taker says the Board may want to put the title on the line, but he's out to hurt Austin for bringing his family into their issue. WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 28th May 2001...Alright, apologies for the wait. Been busy lately. Anyhow, onto the show. I don't think I'd have started the show with a womens match, not even if it's for the WWF Women's Championship. I think a match like this would have been much preferred to open SmackDown! (it did fairly often back here), although if you're repackaging someone like Ivory, I still wouldn't have had it open the show; moreso in the middle to fade in the background to allow the viewer/reader to pick up on. Not sure about giving Ivory a title shot instantly, either; she hasn't really earned it in this gimmick. Plus, her character doesn't have much of an aim now that she just lost to Lita anyway. Ah well, it was sure to energize the crowd, I always enjoyed Lita/Ivory matches. I'm liking the direction of this angle with the Hardy Boyz finding it slightly hard to mesh with Eddie Guerrero. I liked X-Factor attacking Matt though, it got them some heat. Good call by having Vince McMahon come out afterwards, it seemed like quite a decent promo. I love how you write the McMahon promos too, so accurate. The Undertaker getting another WWF Championship opportunity is fine but, it's hard to be interested, by this point it's been getting pretty played out. Wow, more tense hints between Matt Hardy and Eddie; makes sense, given their recent mini-feud over the WWF European Championship. Hmm, does Val Venis even have a gimmick now? I think you should have either given Kane a different opponent, or distanced it from the opener: two former Right to Censor members losing in back to back matches and all. Kane winning was obvious, hopefully you give him an angle rather than just having the WWF Intercontinental Championship and then losing it to Albert. Great little segment with Spike Dudley, Molly Holly and Kurt Angle. Haha, so it appears as though Molly Holly set the Dudley Boyz up. Eddie Guerrero and Jeff Hardy beat Edge and Christian? Original decision there, wonder where Edge and Christian will go from here. No King of the Ring qualifying matches yet? Huh. Nice follow-up with the Dudley Boyz; I admire how you structure backstage segments, I think you may have the best I've seen from this board in a while. It's something even I trip up on when it comes to this time period. (I forget I have backstage segments going on with recurring superstars). Solid first-hour main event, and a fantastic, better use of Lance Storm by having him help Chris Jericho against Shane McMahon rival Kurt Angle. Very enjoyable stuff. So maybe it'll be Storm against Angle at King of the Ring? That'd be cool with me. Wow, that Stone Cold Steve Austin promo was great, and very nicely done at that. Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley still having heat with Austin was nice, a return rivalry is inevitable when Triple H returns. Hopefully this segment caps it off for a while, though. Chris Benoit beating Rhyno was alright, I think the match should have gone on longer though, I understand that you're establishing Benoit as an upper carder/main eventer, but Rhyno is still new, and needs to get as over as possible (not just to an ex-ECW fanbase). Wow, Edge and Christian are splitting up? I sort of like that, they were starting to expire as a team around this point. And Stephanie's leaving...she'll be back...oh yes. Good call to keep the Dudley Boyz and Holly Cousins tables match, with the Romeo and Juliet segment included, I loved that angle. But lastly, hopefully the last time for a while that Stone Cold meets the Undertaker, a decent main event I'm sure, with Austin walking out still the WWF Champion. Overall, a decent show although I'd say that the second hour was better than the first. Several questionable booking decisions, but still quite an eventful show.
I'll be back to review SmackDown! sometime soon.

June 4, 2001 - Minneapolis, MN
Raw comes on the air with highlights of the Steve Austin/Chris Benoit title match, including the controversal ending, before we go to the intro. Jim Ross then welcomes us to the show along with Paul Heyman and announces that two title matches have been signed for tonight, Matt Hardy defending the European Title against Albert while Kane faces X-Pac for the Intercontinential Title. Heyman also mentions that the King of the Ring tournament will also begin tonight with the first two qualifying matches. However JR then talks about what happened to Chris Benoit on Smackdown, how he was royally screwed out of the WWF Title by their 'beloved' chairman and their WWF Champion and Heyman mentions it's not the first Canadian that Vince McMahon has double-crossed.
{IN-RING}
Things then kick off with the Y2J Coundown heralding the arrival of Chris Jericho, who's looking to address the fans on the mic and begins by welcoming the crowd to Raw..Is..JERICHO! Jericho mentions how far Vincent Kennedy McMahon will go to keep the WWF Title on his prized champion, pulling out the old Montreal screwjob to cheat his partner Chris Benoit out of the gold. Jericho says Benoit may have lost out on his dream, but he's still here and demands his shot at Stone Cold Steve Austin for the WWF Championship tonight!
However instead of Austin it's Vince who makes his way to the ring to give an answer. Vince first tells Jericho that he doesn't make any demands around here, especially title shots. Vince then says that maybe the world didn't hear Benoit say 'I Quit' but Austin had Benoit screaming like a dog and it was good enough for me. Vince also claims Benoit showed how truly sadistic he is by the way he assalted him with a chair when he was just trying to maintain order, so Benoit won't be getting any more title shots anytime soon. Vince says that if Benoit is going to be an animal, he'll be treated like an animal as he faces both Acolytes in a handicap match tonight and the crowd boos this news while Jericho looks on disapprovingly. Vince also warns Jericho not to interfere in that match or he'll face dire consequences. Vince then denies Jericho's request, claiming that Austin has earned himself a night off after two straight tough title defenses. Jericho asks Vince if he's afraid his golden boy will get beaten like he should have been on Smackdown but Vince stands pat.
At that point Vince gets interupted by a familiar car crashing sound and the crowd erupts as Mick Foley comes out to make a surprise appearence on the show with his new book in hand. Foley grabs a mic and says he was overhearing their argument and figured he could help settle things. Foley shows off a copy of his new book 'Foley Is Good', available in stores everywhere. Foley then points out what he's using as a bookmark and says it's a valid WWF contract, one of the ones he singed with Vince's wife Linda back in December, though he is running out of them. Foley says this contract gives him the power to make any main event for any Raw I choose, and he's going to choose tonight. Foley says that right here in Minneapolis (cheap pop) Stone Cold Steve Austin will defend the WWF Championship against Chris Jericho! The crowd cheers this news while Jericho's smile grows as Foley announces that not only is Chris Benoit barred from ringside, but so is Vince McMahon.
Vince then stops Foley right there and says he fell for this last time but won't fall for it again. Vince announces he had his lawyers look over those contracts, and they were signed in the state Connecticut so they're only valid in the state of Connecticut, while they're in Minnesota. Foley says that how Vince became a successful billionaire, because he're so smart. Foley says even tought he's taken a few chairshots to the head myself, he saw this coming and invited a friend of mine to help me out. Foley then brings out his special guest, the honorable Govenor of Minnesota, Jessie 'The Body' Ventura!
The crowd pops as Ventura himself makes his way out to the ring, while Vince is shocked to see his former employee again. The crowd chants "Jessie" as Foley hands the mic over to him. Ventura greets Vince before saying how he could never control him before and certainly can't control me now. Ventura adds that whether Vince likes it or not, there are people in this world more powerful than him and he's looking at one of them. Ventura looks over the contrat before saying that by the power invested in him as the Govenor of Minnesota, that contract will be honored in this state which means the match will take place tonight with all the stipulations outlined, and there's nothing anybody can do about it. Vince looks like he's about to explode while Jericho is enjoying this as Ventura signs the contract to make it official. Ventura then shakes hands with Foley and with Jericho, wishing him luck before departing the ring. Jericho asks Vince to tell his pal Austin that he will be seeing him in the ring for his title tonight. Foley then mentions there's one more stipulation to the match but he's saving that for a surprise. Foley tells everyone to have a nice day and walks off with Jericho while Vince is still incensed at being outsmarted like that.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
Back from break JR buzzes about a third championship match being added to tonight's docket, while says as great as Vince McMahon is, not even he can trump the ultimate politician in Jessie Ventura. JR also says the King of the Ring kicks off tonight with the first of two qualifying matches next.
{BACKSTAGE}
We find Edge sitting in a chair pondering something when Christian runs up asking why he's so glum when he's in the first King of the Ring match next. Edge says he starts his run tonight but has to face The Big Show in the first round. Christian feels they can handle him since there's one Show but two of them and once Edge gets past Show the rest of the tournament should be cake. Edge starts to believe him, saying if a 7-foot monster can't beat him then what makes anyone else think they can. Christian also mentions how close Edge came to beating Kane for the Intercontinental title on Smackdown and Edge says he only lost because "one of those reakazoids from WCW" got involved. Edge asks what's up with that anyway but Christian feels they can't worry about that now. Christian tells Edge to take care of business and E&C touch fists before heading out of the room.

Edge climbs back in the ring with Show following him and Edg hits a clothesline that staggers Show but he stays on hs feet Show swings his arm and Edge ducks it but the referee gets knocked over. While the referee is reeling Show grabs Edge for the chokeslam but Christian comes in and jabs him with a chair. Edge takes the chair and whacks Show's knee with in then Christian grabs a second chair and E&C hit the Conchairto. Christian quickly takes both chairs and leaves while Edge covers Show and gets the pin to become the first quarterfinalist. | Your Winner by pinfall: Edge (3:29) |

Austin just doesn't see why he has to do it tonight and Vince says there's nothing he can do. WWF SmackDown!: Thursday 31st May 2001...Good opening contest with Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit in Benoit's hometown of Edmonton, a lot of cheap pops in this one. I liked the hockey references, very nice touch. I also liked Benoit establishing how he's ready for a shot at the WWF Championship, to which Stone Cold Steve Austin accepted. Austin and Vince McMahon's relationship is very bipolar, one moment Austin's upset that Vince made a WWF Championship match (on RAW is WAR), but now he's sure he wants a title match with Benoit. Solid opening contest with Kane getting a tainted victory over Edge in a WWF Intercontinental Championship defense: in Kane's first defense of the title, the interference didn't help him a lot. I also think that this match was two or three minutes too short. Chris Kanyon attacking Edge was nice though, we could have ourselves the WWF Intercontinental Champion vs the WCW United States Champion in the near future. I hope you push the hell out of Kanyon, such an underrated worker. Is D-Lo Brown the real deal now? Hah.William Regal and Tajiri's segments so far have been amusing. Kurt Angle barging in was nice, and we have an interesting match set up for tonight between Spike Dudley and Angle, although I'm expecting some input from Shane McMahon in this. D-Lo Brown beating Billy Gunn was what it was, nothing too special. It's weird to think that this would have been acceptable for a first-hour main event on RAW is WAR in 1998 or 1999, but two years on, they've been so damaged that they're a filler match on SmackDown!, good re-invention match for D-Lo, though. I hope Billy stays relevant, though. Nice segment with the Undertaker and Vince McMahon: nice twist potential with the whole masked man scheme possibly having been the Chairman's idea. I like it. Hahah, as expected, Shane McMahon and Lance Storm causing Kurt Angle to lose to Spike Dudley by count-out, typical 2001 Kurt. I liked Angle destroying him afterwards though, wasn't sure on the involvement from Molly Holly, and her being dragged away by the Holly Cousins though - it took attention from Angle being dominant. Great inclusion of Mike Awesome there, I hope he remains relevant in this Invasion Angle, too. The Undertaker could have a new rival to play with here. More Angle, Regal and Tajiri hijinks, with the origins of the King of the Ring bout set up right here and now. Looking forward to seeing how Shane responds: probably a Street Fight, I'd imagine. Chris Jericho beating Test? Interesting, good tease of the WWF Hardcore Championship changing hands from Canadian to Canadian in a babyface match. Hahah, and then American man-beast Rhyno takes the title back. I love 24/7. Haha I love it, Eddie Guerrero slying his way into membership with the Hardy Boyz - and Matt's getting the "d*ckhead brush". Awh, glad it's working out for Edge and Christian in the King of the Ring tournament preliminarys. I see Christian not making it past the qualifying round, if you want to make Christian REALLY jealous of Edge winning (inevitably, but please try to surprise me!). Up next, surprised that X-Factor got the win against the Hardy Boyz, although I liked that Matt's paranoia got in the way of things. That Lita sure is a damsel in distress. Try and stretch this angle out as long as possible, I'm really digging it. Stone Cold wants Vince mcMahon all to himself, bless his little black trunks. Hardcore Holly with the win against Bubba Ray Dudley was what it was, nothing special. I've noticed that every filler match tonight has ended in around the same time-frame (four minutes). Now I'm fine with that for the realistic sense, but it's just too alike to me. I'd be fine with one or two six/seven minute matches, outside of the first-hour main event and the second-hour main event. Putting together the entire length of bell-to-bell action, it comes to around thirty-five minutes. Just seems a little bit shorter than it should. But that's a small gripe. Lastly, awesome heel heat on Steve Austin, stealing the win in the Edmonton Screwjob, a solid match with Chris Benoit for the WWF Championship. Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit still standing tall was the right call to make though. A decent episode of SmackDown! despite a few disagreeable things.

Raw is War: June 4th, 2001 - Definitely an exciting time for wrestling with WWF acquiring WCW and I feel that they could have handled everything so much better. Maybe you can justify it...lets see. Good way to start with Jericho looking for answers about his partner being screwed on Smackdown! Never really liked Austin with McMahon...just seems awkward to me. Foley coming out with his magical contract is odd and Ventura was pretty cool though. Edge going over is surprising but a good twist. Six man tag will be something to see. Hardy retaining is okay, seems like another six man feud going on here. Dave Finlay yay! Good was to see someone different debut and he will be a great partner for Benoit. Glad Austin and the Hollys got the win and there is no relationship building within them. WCW attacking Angle was pretty predictable but thats fine. Thankfully Kane retained. Angle doing both the tournament and facing Shane is awesome...Eddie/Lita relationship coming? That's gotta be DDP that is making Undertaker's life a living hell! Saw some kind of shady ending to the World title match coming..all good though since it advances everything nicely. Hopefully Foley sticks around for the feud! Solid show...will be watching closely.

Benoit first says that they hope Mr. Austin's delerium isn't contageous, because everyone knows he never beat them. Benoit says that getting himself disqualified in Jericho's match is one thing, but pulling the ultimate douible-cross, in his hometown, really shows how low Austin and Vince will sink to ensure that the title remains on Stone Cold. Benoit adds that Austin was clearly running scared and needed help to bail him out on both occasions. Benoit says that he's not done chasing Austin's title but tonight it's about their belts, and he can promise that Austin and his good buddy Mr. McMahon will get what's going to them. Jericho adds this thoughts, saying if "Junior #1" and "Junior #2" think they can come take their belts they're welcome to try. {BACKSTAGE}
We find Shane McMahon walking through the hallways celebrating another successful WCW intrusion when he bumps into Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho who ask what's going on with all the WCW run-ins. Jericho mentions they've seen Lance Storm, Fit Finlay, Chris Kanyon, Kidman just now, and wants to know what he's up to. Shane says he can't divulge the full details right now, but what he does say is that something big is coming, and when it happens he hopes both guys consider what side they'll be on. Benoit and Jericho say they have to get ready for their match but suggests they can talk about this later then walk off while Shane heads in the opposite direction. However it isn't long before Shane bumps into William Regal and a gaggle of security. Regal tells Shane that he's caused enough trouble around here and it's time for him to take his leave, and the fine gentlemen with him will ensure that he or 'those ruffians of his' will not trouble them any further. Shane doesn't argue as he heads out with security. Regal then looks back to where Benoit and Jericho were standing and shakes his head.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
Cole says its time for the main event as Benoit and Jericho make their separate entrances to the ring and await their opponents. However they get slightly surprised when it's William Regal coming out to the stage and gettting on the mic saying he needs to address something first. Regal says he saw them talking with Shane McMahon moments ago and if there's one thing they won't stand for in the WWF it's associating with the owner of a rival organization. On that note Regal says he doesn't feel Benoit and Jericho are quite ready for Stone Cold and Mr. McMahon just yet but to help them get ready he books them in a non-title warm-up match with...The Acolytes. Benoit and Jericho aren't liking this as Bradshaw and Faarooq make their way to the ring.

Benoit and Jericho then turn back to the stage and demand Austin and Vince come out. Instead William Regal comes out to the stage again and calls their match very impressive. However Regal feels Benoit and Jericho haven't warmed up enough yet and orders them to compete in another non-title match, this time against Rhyno and The Big Show! Benoit and Jericho both sport a 'You've gotta be kidding me' look as Rhyno makes his way to the ring first before Show comes out.

Rhyno then connects with the Gore on Jericho and Jericho rolls out to the floor but Rhyno goes after him and hits another Gore! Show kneedrops Benoit in the ring and hits another chokeslam. Show and Rhyno finally depart but the damage is done as Benoit and Jericho are left decimated around the ring. Regal comes out yet again and says that was also impressive as he finally brings Austin and Vince out for their scheduled match. Austin and Vince make their way out and it looks like easy pickings for the two of them.
= Main Event = WWF World Tag Team Championship Match Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho © vs. Steve Austin & Vince McMahon | Once they're in the ring Vince convinces Austin to let him cover Benoit. Austin obliges as Vince covers Benoit ... but only gets two. Vince covers for another two as Jericho pulls Austin off the apron but Austin throws him on the announce table. Benoit manages to get Vince in the Crossface but Austin makes it back in to save it before Vince taps out. Austin suplexes Benoit onto the announce table then clotheslines Jericho and rams him into the table as well. Austin throws Benoit in the ring and sets him on the top rope then hits a superplex ... but that only gets two! Austin locks in his own Crossface and Benoit tries not to submit to his own hold when Jericho makes the save. WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 4th June 2001...Alright, decent opening promo with Chris Jericho kicking off the show in the ring, a decent challenge made to avenge Chris Benoit's screwing out of the WWF Championship last Thursday night on SmackDown!, challenging Stone Cold Steve Austin. Mr McMahon's dialogue is always fantastic in this diary, awesome exchanges made here. Not a lot different from real life either, if I recall correctly. Steve Austin has had a difficult week, a third WWF Championship tonight would be interesting, although it's sucking the prestige out of the WWF Championship match picture. Mick Foley then appearing was fair; we didn't need to see Jesse Ventura in this segment: you could have built this up throughout the show, rather than confirming the WWF Championship main event here. Just a little too much put into an opening promo, perhaps. Edge and Christian going their separate ways lasted long...a long way for Edge to go. Expected win for Edge in the King of the Ring qualifying round against the Big Show (who really needs a kick-start at this point in his career). Christian's help was fine, but I really hope that you go in a different direction with the winner of the King of the Ring tournament. Kurt Angle barging into William Regal's office was fair, a rematch against Spike Dudley sounds fine; hilarious concept with Angle teaming up with the Holly Cousins: three cousins that Angle hasn't had the cleanest past with. Decent WWF European Championship defense made by Matt Hardy against Albert, although I wasn't too much a fan of the disqualification finish. It did however involve X-Factor and the Hardy Boyz' feud. Eddie Guerrero and Matt Hardy continue to have problems. Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin's backstage segment was cool, more bipolar attitude from the WWF Champion. McMahon has a lot going on, with Shane McMahon and the WCW invasion, as well as pleasing Stone Cold. Nice. Chris Benoit overcoming the odds against the Acolytes was nice, although it's strange that Bradshaw and Faarooq were put into this position that easily. Mind you, it IS Vince's money. Dave Finlay helping Benoit? Unfortunately for Finlay, Benoit already has a partner with whom is a WWF Tag Team Champion. More tension between the Hardy Boyz is fun, looking forward to this pending explosion. Kurt Angle and the Holly Cousins overcoming their disapproval of one-another was great, good win for the Hollys against the Dudley Boyz. No progression with the Spike Dudley and Molly Holly scenario? Strange. A strange, ironic promo with Kurt Angle's challenge for King of the Ring being accepted by Shane McMahon: I did sort of like the irony though, with Lance Storm and Mike Awesome jumping Angle immediately after stating that there'd be no outside interference. Nicely done. Kane beating X-Pac was fine, a decent WWF Intercontinental Championship win for Kane although it went far too long, honestly. Angle and William Regal's segment was what it was; I do like the sound of Angle bragging about being added to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. Eddie Guerrero and Matt Hardy tension addition: fair. The Undertaker's promo was quite decent, with inclusion from the masked man - the "modified Stunner" comment made it far too obvious, though. I'm glad Diamond Dallas Page won't have that ridiculous stalker gimmick, though. Rhyno with a win against Tazz was odd, but good call in the second Qualifying match in the King of the Ring tournament. I give Rhyno until the semi-finals at furthest. Chris Jericho's interview was greatly written and made the audience look forward to the main event. Paul Heyman's comment about "Verne Gagne" rolling over in his grave was priceless. Stone Cold Steve Austin winning under these circumstances was expected, nothing new really. Just another awesome television title main event. Mick Foley then getting the "feelgood finish" on William Regal was sweet, although it was strange to see no inclusion from Chris Benoit in this: an original direction, maybe? A decent episode of RAW is WAR.
WWF SmackDown!: Thursday 7th June 2001...Hot opening contest with Jeff Hardy successfully retaining the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against Christian, not a bad start. Nice segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon, setting up the main event. Vince McMahon and Steve Austin: imagine that combination as WWF Tag Team Champions. Would be sort of cool, but I doubt you're going for that approach. Spike Dudley's interview was nice, talking up Molly Holly. Looking forward to if they actually stand a chance this time. Kurt Angle facing his former tag team partner from Monday, Hardcore Holly was fine, good advancement for Angle in the King of the Ring qualifying match. Looks like you're following the "King of the Ring ironman series" path for Angle on June 24th, which could be cool. May have taken a little too long to put Holly away, though. No promo at this point in the show was a little strange, I thought. Usually if the show opens with a match, the next segment is typically always an in-ring promo. Sort of keeps viewership up. Ah well. I do hope that Christian fails to qualify into King of the Ring, just to go in an original direction. William Regal giving Tajiri his first match in the World Wrestling Federation is great! Hopefully against a Kaientai member. Test beating Val Venis was what it was - Val is lost at the moment. What even is his gimmick? He needs character, a legitimate repackaging. It didn't really do much for either man, so I found that to be a complete waste of time. Diamond Dallas Page still following suit with the dark, mysterious, creepy voice-mail sending gimmick is great, without the stalking too. Not bad at all. Great WWF Hardcore Championship defense by Rhyno against Raven next, not a bad contest, their WWF Backlash encounter was awesome. The Dudley Boyz wanting to make Spike Dudley follow in their footsteps is cool. I wonder who will advance in Eddie Guerrero and X-Pac's match, sounds like a solid bout nonetheless. Great debut by Tajiri against Crash Holly as it seems as though the Holly Cousins and the Dudley Boyz's rivalry has come to an end. I'm surprised by the lack of the Radicalz on WWF television recently, too. Good win for Tajiri in his debut nonetheless. I'm not too fond of William Regal seemingly brushing off being humiliated by Mick Foley on RAW is WAR, though. In all seriousness, you seem to be missing quite a lot of WWF talent off of most of these shows, hopefully they appear sooner rather than later. Eddie Guerrero with the win in the King of the Ring qualifying match was great, although I could've done without involvement from Billy Kidman, even if it is an additional stitch in the WCW invasion pair of jeans. Shane McMahon meeting up with Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho was cool: ah, Fit Finley was a part of WCW! I see now. Interesting exchange, would be cool to see Benoit or Jericho transfer to WCW, though. Austin doesn't suit as a heel right now, I don't think. Wow, a tag tam turmoil style set-up for our main event: heel heat! I likey. I believe once again that this reflects real life though, you should have tried to at least mix some of the teams up, even if it included the Dudley Boyz or another tag team. Expected wins for the WWF Tag Team Champions against the APA and Big Show and Rhyno; I do however think these matches went too long prior to this main event. And what a finish: Shane McMahon costs his Dad and the WWF Champion a title match! Class. Overall, good upset finish with potential set up for RAW is WAR this Monday: prepare some matches for King of the Ring already though, man! Also, maybe mix up some of the superstars, and mix up some occurrences, everything's literally reflected real life at the moment. Nice work though, another eventful week of WWF programming.

June 11, 2001 @ Richmond, VA
Raw comes on the air with highlights of Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho retaining the tag team titles on Smackdown before we go to the arena. Jim Ross welcomes us to the show along with Paum Heyman and announces that tonight, two more King of the Ring qualifying matches will be held tonight, plus the Dudley trio take on the Holly clan in a six-person tag match and Rhyno defends the Hardcore Title against The Undertaker. JR also mentions rumors that they may be hearing about the King of the Ring main event and Heyman feels Stone Cold Steve Austin will be in a very foul mood after giving up the pinfall to Chris Benoit on Smackdown, as tainted as that match was.
{IN-RING}
Things kick off with the royal British horns bringing Commissioner William Regal out to the ring to address the fans on the mic. Regal greets all his friends in Richmond and mentions a few issues he wanted to discuss. Regal first says the fans may have noticed a number of intrusions by members of a rival wrestling organization, which shall remain nameless, and this has led to some suggesting that the WWF is being invaded. Regal assures the fans that there is no so-called "Invasion", it's just simply Shane McMahon trying to be a disruptive force in the WWF, and he's beefed up security to ensure that such disurbances are ended immediately.
Regal next talks about the pay-per-view, saying how Steve Ausitn is eager to defend the WWF Championship at King of the Ring and is anxious to learn his opponent. Regal says some have suggested that he either pick Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho, both of whom can boast of pinfall wins over Austin in tag team matches. However Regal says he's not sure either one of them are worthy of getting another title shot, especially after "that miserable toerag" Shane McMahon interfered in the tag team title match on Smackdown. Regal says he's decided to really test both men tonight by putting them through difficult challenges. Regal first books Chris Jericho against The Big Show in a match that will be held under Hardcore rules. Regal then mentions that Benoit and Kurt Angle still have their issues and they'll get to settle them within the confines of a 15-foot tall steel cage. Regal starts to talk about who should challenge Austin for the title in his opinion but is cut off by the classic Wrestlemania theme as Linda McMahon makes her way out. The crowd pops as Linda climbs in the ring while Regal has a suddenly nervous look on his face.
Regal greets Linda who says that she also has a few things to address. Linda first asks Regal what her title it and Ragal says she's the CEO. Linda mentions that means she's the Chief Executive Officer, which means she does have some input as to who gets hired, and who gets fired, especially when it comes to certain administrative positions like commissioners. Linda points out her husband Vince gave Regal the oppertunity to become WWF Commissioner while she was, how you mught say, indisposed of, and although his appointment came without her input, she figured 'this guy might do a good job so I'll give him a chance'. However Linda says the results she's seen from Regal thus far has less than stellar and the crowd comes alive for a possible firing while Regal starts sweating bullets. Linda mentions she's seen Regal constantly get involved in matches such as Chris Jericho's match with Stone Cold last week and Regal clamis he was just worried that Mick Foley was going to steal the title. Linda then mentions Regal constantly stacking the deck against certain individuals and punishing them for dubious reasons and Regal claims he just wanted to teach Benoit and Jericho a lesson in loyalty. Linda then brings up Regal's constant kissing up to Vince and doing unfair things to please him and Regal cuts her off, then immediately backs off and says he wanted to do a good job for Mr. McMahon since he gave me this oppertunity and admits that maybe he went a little overboard at times. Linda says that despite that, Regal seems like a man of integrity so she's going to give him one final chance to prove himself and Regal breathes a sigh of relief.
Linda brings up Steve Austin needing an opponent for King of the Ring, and how Regal happened to mention two individuals who do have recent pinfall wins over him, plus the title matches they had with him both ended in dubious circumstances. Regal offers a solution, that Benoit and Jericho will have their matches as scheduled tonight, but whichever one of them wins his match will get Stone Cold for the title at King of the Ring. Linda says that sounds good but asks what if both of them should win. Regal stutters as Linda says that would mean both of Benoit and Jericho would earn the right to face Austin, like you said, and points out how Austin has boasted how he can beat both of them at once. Regal hesitates but finally says if Benoit and Jericho both win their matches, they'll have a triple threat for the title at King of the Ring. Linda seems satisfied and tells regal how that wasn't so hard. Linda says she has to go but will be watching Regal and wanrs him not to make her regret giving him this last chance. Linda then departs leaving the flustered Regal in the ring.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
Back from break JR buzzes about the two huge matches now having King of the Ring implications, that if either Chris Benoit or Chris Jericho win their matches they get another shot at Austin at the pay-per-view. Heyman feels it doesn't seem quite fair for Stone Cold Steve Austin to possibly have two opponents to worry about.
= Match #1 = | Raven vs. Perry Saturn (w/Terri Runnels) | Saturn takes Raven down to start and chokes away on him on the mat then unloads on him with right hands. Saturn whips Raven and hits an elbow followed by a springboard dropkick. Raven bails out to the floor but Saturn toses him back in the ring. Saturn runs Raven into the buckles but Raven comes back with a kneelift that knocks Saturn through the ropes. Saturn tries to get back in the ring but each time he climbs on the apron Raven shoulderblocks him back off. Raven pulls Saturn on the apron but Saturn snaps Raven's neck on the top rope and hits a shoulderblock. Saturn goes for a Sunset Flip when Raven sits down on the shoulders for a two count. The Undertaker is walking when Kevin Kelly walks up to him asking if he can concentrate on his Hardcore Title match with the man in black coming after him. Taker says he's a little worked up because some punk wants to sneak around trying to make a name for himself instead of facing him like a man so he welcomes the chance to work off a little agression. Taker also says that if the man in black gets in his business, he'll be leaving the building in a bodybag.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Molly wishes her cousins would just leave her alone, and let her live her life but Spike feels they're just being protective of you and he can certainly understand that. Spike tells Molly she has nothing to worry about in this match because he won't fight against her, he'll only fight for her. Spike says their families can fight if they want to, nothing's gonna come between them. Molly mentions she saw Spike's message on Smackdoan and says that she really like him too. Spike and Molly grabs hands and lean in to kiss...only to have Bubba Ray Dudley pull back Spike by the hair at the last minute. Bubba tells Spike they have a match and Spike relucatnly walks off while Bubba glares at Molly, aussring her that he won't forget to bring the table.
= Match #2 = | WWF Hardcore Championship Match Rhyno © vs. The Undertaker | Rhyno comes out first and throws some plunder in the ring then awaits Taker as he rides down the ramp on his motorcycle.
