I had like 30K before I unlocked survival mode, now I have over 150K and I leveled up fast, now a level 18 and this started yesterday And... What are you saving for? Survival really isn't the fastest way to make money. Just messing around, playing Races and Parashoot Jumps with 2 friends made me 100k the other night. Then again, violent Duct made me 500k the fastest. Violent duct pays 3K a mission now, not worth it. I never get sh*t doing races. I walk away with $20,000 each time I do a survival. Im well over 200K now. I just wanted to make enough so when the first stimulus package drops I can buy the $400K apartment.

Smart thing to do, too. Well, I just won a 14 man team Deathmatch with 22/5 and got paid 10400 for it. I'm mainly saving money right now so that when the 500k comes I can buy an Adder or something fast. I have around 400k atm.

Well, I just finished the story mode. Obviously picked option C, because I knew I couldn't follow through with the other two endings. I really enjoyed this game, thought the ending was a little lackluster, though.

R* has began nerfing certain parts of the survival missions that they deem to be exploitative of design flaws.

At the Boneyard Survival, they consider getting on the roof for cover as "leaving the shootout" now. And they took the dumpster you could duck down into completely out of the stage. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. You wanna nerf exploits? Fine with me, all day long. But those aforementioned things were sound strategies that were used in a mode that was already incredibly difficult to begin with. On top of that, getting on the roof didn't even guarantee victory, as they still sent choppers in at 2 and 3 at a time. Honestly, I don't think they did it because they thought it was an exploit. I think they did it because they found out people were farming the survival missions (doing them over and over for big payouts) to build up their cash quickly.

Ah that sucks, that basically what we would do, one of my friends loved bein on the roof and the dumpster was like a base for us haha. Shame they had to take that out, that was my favourite survival, they need more of them, only 4 gets slightly boring.

Just started online last night.
All I could find to do were street races and deathmatch stuff with 1 or 2 other people.
Where are the missions and heists and stuff?

I used to farm the survival but not anymore. I still think the best strategy for boneyard is have everyone in the building hiding behind crates but everyone still runs around willy nilly leaving me alone. They also took away the garage you could go in, just completely blocked it off.

I usually hide behind the shed near the fence on the same side that the vehicles come in on. It's behind the billboard with the armor under it. I get cover on one side and a friend gets on the other and we usually have no problem completing all ten waves. And there is a building in the Railyard that you can access by climbing the black tanker connected to the train right behind it. Climb up the ladder and jump over the tanker railing to get to the roof. That usually provides good cover for that survival and as far as I know it's still within the survival range.

Played some Online tonight. Just trying to get enough for a cheapy apartment so I have something. Waiting for the $500K so I can get a real nice car, like the Infernus. Crazy that 12 years after GTA III, the Infernus is still my favorite car in the series.

Try calling Lamar off your phone, should activate a tutorial mission. Then after that, you'll get a few missions for Simeon, Gerald and Lamar.

They've now started nerfing some of the higher end job payouts. They've also lowered the value of cars that you can sell to LSC. Rockstar is really starting to piss me off.

Getting money and leveling feels like too long of a grind to me. And I'm only like level 16. I don't see the reward for it, so it is starting to lose interest for me.

I also hate how 90% of all characters look the same. And the other 10% are female or black. I want to love this. Just feels like it is missing a lot.
