I also hate how 90% of all characters look the same. And the other 10% are female or black. I want to love this. Just feels like it is missing a lot. Yeah, the character creation aspect has been hugely disappointing. I imagine it's something they'll continue to add to though. I hope that they don't have too much paid DLC in mind, because that's exactly where I can see online heading. "Pay X amount and unlock these new activities to play with your friends!" or something along those lines. I've been having a blast playing races with friends and screwing around, but I think the appeal of GTAO is quickly wearing off for me.

It is missing a lot but once they fix the main online issues they will be adding more stuff. GTA Online may not be the greatest right now but I'm confident that eventually it will be amazing.

I think plenty of people will be playing it. It's mostly only the hardcore that be buying a PS4/X-One at launch.
But I am with you. I am not overly impressed with the online so far. I'm sure it will get better, but with other games coming out, I'm sure I'll be done with it by December.

If they port GTA O to next gen and continue to support it as its own franchise it could be around forever. They need to add more activities, missions etc, more vehicles, more create a character options, more clothes and more cities. If they link GTA4's liberty city to GTA O that would be incredible and then have DLC maps of other cities that could roll out over time. I would be all for that.
Rockstar has said they wanted to link every city to one game, this is how it should be done, imo.

i agree about character creation. system is absolutely terrible. we should be able to modify height and weight as the women still all seem amazonian and the lack of fat guys makes me sad. I also think the costumes should be a bit more 'out there' so that we get more a more diverse range of character models. i am also really disappointed in these things Rockstar have done to make earning money harder, in a clear attempt to get people to buy in game money with real life money. hopefully the added content pays out more and what we have now will just be there to grind with. otherwise, i am having a ing blast. played it pretty much every day this week with a few buddies. story: joined my friend in a session earlier today. turns out he still had a bounty on his head from the last session. he's like trapped in a gas station with the cops after him and a few players approaching him to grab the $5000 bounty. so we're messaging on facebook and we arrange for me to pick him up. as i'm driving towards him with a stolen car i pull over and chuck a sticky bomb on the front. i arrive at the gas station, swerve around to pull up (and hide the sticky bomb), he jumps in and i floor it off. i'm on facebook and i'm like "so about that bounty, is it still on you?" "pretty sure, yep.". so i'm driving along, we're free of the cops and the other bounty hunters are way off in the distance. i open the car door, do a james bond dive out of it and and detonate the bomb a second later. "...you cock"

Haven't posted my thoughts on this game yet, simply the best open world game ever. I'm not saying that because its Grand Theft Auto, I'm saying as its true. It has what you want in an open world game, a massive improvement from GTA IV. Haven't done much on GTA Online yet, but from what I've read and watched on YouTube, it looks like a lot of fun.
The story was great. Trevor is no doubt my new all time favorite GTA character, he is what you expect from the series. Michael and Franklin were good characters too, but for some reason I sometimes felt Michael was just a huge dick, I know they all kind of are in their own way, but he stood out more to me for some reason. Just some of the missions with him got me thinking, "Man, he is an bunghole". The ending was interesting, to what you choose of course, I went with "C" (guessing everyone knows each type of ending, but to not spoil it for anyone who doesn't know, I won't reveal much more other than there are three different endings you can choose from) as my true ending as it seemed to wrap up the whole story better than endings "A" and "B".
Currently, I'm finishing off the 100% checklist and going around and finding all the easter eggs within the game. I know most of them due to YouTube, but its still fun to go and do it yourself.

I hate how doing a mission quick job will put you in death matches. That's not a mission to me.

Lolol I love online so much
I've had a couple nights where I've played crapgames, but tonight and the past few days I've had a blast! Its all about finding a good group of people playing and just continue playing competitive jobs. Now I'm making money and actually buying crapand enjoying myself.
Running around the open map is boring though. Would be more fun with hundreds on a session, but not just twenty

The game really needs interiors of buildings that you could go in. Technically this game is very impressive, but I feel like the over world is hallow. They should have used some of the $260+ million budget to add some buildings to go into that are outside of a few missions. I seriously can't believe this game cost that much money to take...

Hit the online aspect pretty hard this weekend. Been grinding quite a bit the last couple of days. Doing a few odd missions, a few survival bouts when I can get some help, but most of the money that stays in the bank is coming from selling "high end" cars at the custom shops (a couple of vehicles get you at least $9,000) and sticking up stores in between. Also putting in time on my 2nd playthrough of the main game while waiting the "day" it takes before I can sell another vehicle. Finally up to 200K (and leveled up to 22), so I'll be buying a nice apartment in the next few hours.

Bought one of the apartments on Alta Street. Pretty nice view. Stayed in the crib for about an hour just admiring the place, glad that I busted ass long enough for it to pay off. Once I went back outside to do some car hunting, the city had really degenerated, with some fool rolling around in a tank, so went back home, where it's safe.

With how poorly I can be at missions, I am eagerly awaiting that free half a million.

Ported from Xbox One/PS4 to Xbox 360 and PS3. I'll get the PC Version for sure, but I'd rather a new Red Dead or Bully then GTAV again.
