Multiplayer.it answered to some questions about GTA V via twitter today while they were showing in live streaming NFS MW (I announced it today).
Hopefully I won't forget anything, here all the info they gave:
First of all, next week they will release an interview with Dan Houser, they teased that he will reply to lot of questions, such as "Why there never been female protagonists?" and "Why all GTAs are set in America and there aren't GTAs in other countries?"
- There is no a lead platform, they are developing the game at the same time in both PS3 and XBOX360
- Who saw the demo thinks that there won't be a Wii U version because rockstar is not experienced with this new console, but he is also confident that there will be a PC version after a few months.
- Who saw the demo said the graphics is amazing, and you can see the maniacal attention to all the details. Amazing graphics and attention to details combine together and give a credibility to the game world.
- Speaking of graphics, the demo had a lot of alias (Which is going to be fixed before release, of course) but the frame rate wasn't bad (but not perfect). Curiosity: They did the same presentation for GTA IV 5 years ago, and in this case the graphics was great but the frame rate was really bad.
- At the moment you can't switch between characters if you are in free roam and you are wanted, but they are still working on that so it may change (Maybe we'll be able to switch characters and then make a huge escape from police with all the characters together... Damn, this should be in the wish list lol)
- There will be multiple endings (Maybe we already know that, I can't remember)
As for the lenght of the game, Rockstar said that the main story alone lasts about as the red dead redemption one. So about 25-30 hours. But there will be a HUGE amount of secondary things to do.
Btw, It will last less than the one in GTA IV with Nico because they know that a lot of people didn't finish the story because it was too long.

The possibility of a GTA 5 PC game is something of a hot topic since the platforms were announced – PC gamers have often been stiffed, at least initially, by Rockstar Games and it seems GTA 5 won’t be any different.
It’s practically confirmed that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 isn’t likely to launch alongside the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, but IGN’s interview with Dan Houser confirms as much.
When asked about why there’s no PC or Wii U version of the game, Houser responds with “Everything else is up for consideration. That’s all I can give you.”
He continues, “The main thing is we are not… we are a third-party publisher. We’re not Nintendo, we’re not Sony, we’re not Microsoft. We love all of them in different ways.
“But we can do what we want wherever there’s the appropriate business opportunity and chance to find a market. If that’s on Apple we put something on Apple. Wherever it might be.”
Rockstar Games doesn’t make the consoles, states Houser, it just uses them. Which is a fancy way of saying it’s all about the money. “I think that’s the fun in what we do,” says Houser, “We see ourselves as a content company that uses technology. We don’t make it; we use it to make the most fun stuff.”
So, no PC version of GTA 5 just yet, but it’s “up for consideration“. That’s at least something, right?

Hopefully they completely overhaul the competitive multiplayer or just leave it out entirely. The GTA combat mechanics never lend themselves to multiplayer. Whoever shoots first wins. Oh and fix the ing driving. Free roam is always a plus though. |

Lol, who plays video games on PC nowadays? people who want to with the files for something pointless , such as modded car names, or license plate designs. There's a lot more to modding than skins. I personally think it adds more to the gaming experience. |

4 was vastly different. There hasnt been a GTA in 5 years when this releases. Its notr too over saturated. Sure it was in the early 2000's but not so much anymore.
