Does any one know how often stores like Wal-Mart or Toys R Us restock their shelves? Is it based purely on when the shelves run low or what? Been trying to better plan my "attacks" on my hunts. For example, last Sunday I went to Wal-Mart, they didn't have any thing, and I drive by this Wal-Mart everyday going to and from work. I went in probably 3-4 days later and they have not only stocked E17, but had sold out of Foley, KK and Ryder.

Just ask an employee when restocks are. TRU is more predictable than Walmart.
Generally they won't restock unless inventory is low so always ask if there's more in the stock room and if you're lucky they'll bring some out.

In my area, It's Wednesdays for TRU, and Thursdays for Walmart and Targets.

this time of year TRU gets trucks 4-5 times a week, and they usually do re-stocking overnight. Walmart usually restocks the toy department everynight, no rhyme or reason to if they have WWE or not

I went in probably 3-4 days later and they have not only stocked E17, but had sold out of Foley, KK and Ryder. I worked @ Wal-Mart for 6 years & another retailer for 7. Here's how it works, basically. The shelf is set to hold a certain number of items(Figures). When the quantity of product on hand drops to within a set number of the shelf being empty, the computer automatically replenishes the supply. Once the order is placed it all depends on whether the item is in the warehouse(2-4 days), or has to be gotten from the distributor(2-4 weeks), that being Mattel in this case. So a ton of series 17 John Cena's can keep series 17 Mankind from seeing the shelf till Johnny boy sells thru.

But you can keep checking if you like. Most Wal-Marts receive trucks every night Monday-Friday. Some of them Monday-Sunday.

Also figure in the type of employees your stores have, I have seen pallets be put out with empty pegs and then see the pallets go right back without being touched.

In my area, TRUnis on thurs and Walmart is "every night" so employees say. Oh so that explains why the same figs have been rotting on Walmart shelves for 5 months............ and I walk into TRU on Wed afternoon and there is untouched WWE figs.....

Someone at TRU will always tell you the schedule if you ask, at least mine will. For some reason the high percentage good days at my stores are Monday for Target and Tues/Wed for Kmart. That was found by hitting the stores frequently over a period of time. I'm sure your days will vary.

TRU typically gets one truck per week, always on the same day. This time of year, however, they will receive more than one truck a week, so TRU can be more hit and miss right now.
