Note - Even though I appreciate reading the diaries of the people on this board, I do not, personally, have the patience to uphold a lengthy diary of my own, and give it the attention it deserves. However, this is an idea that came to me a little while ago, that I wanted to get down on 'virtual paper', and share with everyone. I guess it's simply to exercise my own mainstream writing skills. Hope you enjoy. Now then...

It's November of 2012, and Jeff Jarrett is growing restless. He and his father, Jerry, had founded Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling as a viable alternative to WWE's seeming monopoly of the American wrestling scene in 2002. Fast forward ten years, and the company has gone through many changes. They had gone from strict weekly pay-per-view episodes, to regular television and monthly PPVs. His father had exited the company. Financial backers had come and gone. The current backer put his daughter, Dixie Carter, in charge of day-to-day operations.
All was well for a while, despite changes in Jeff's personal life. A devastating loss of his devoted wife to cancer, and a subsequent marriage to the ex-wife of an on-screen rival. Still, business-wise, Jeff stayed on in the company, and appeared in on-air roles when and if he was needed.
Then, in 2010 Ms. Carter hired Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. They slowly integrated themselves by changing their unique (to America) six-sided ring, back to the traditional squared circle. They hired anyone and everyone fresh (and sometimes not) out of the rival WWE. Then, they put themselves all over television, in figurehead authority roles. By the fall of 2012, Jeff felt he had totally lost his brainchild. It was nothing like he created. After much soul-searching and advice seeking, he knew he had to break away. Perhaps retire. Either way, he went to Dixie Carter and explained his situation. He was granted his release.
Meanwhile, in WWE, the current plan was to finally pull the trigger, and have Dolph Ziggler cash in his "Money In The Bank" title shot at Survivor Series, and become the new World Heavyweight Champion. To do this, WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon wanted to break Ziggler away from his on-air relationship with Vickie Guerrero, and pair him with a new mentor - WWE Hall of Famer, "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. However, due to much legal red tape concerning Flair's recent departure from TNA Wrestling, McMahon ultimately decided that the chase wasn't worth it, for the timeliness of the storyline he wanted to produce. He was stuck.
When McMahon caught wind of Jeff Jarrett's situation, and how he was free-and-clear of TNA Wrestling, his wheels started turning. Ever the opportunist, he knew money when he smelled it. Despite the bad feelings stemmed from a messy departure 11 years ago, and the pleading of his inner circle (including Triple H), McMahon made up his mind. He picked up the phone and dialed Jeff's home in Tennessee. After a couple weeks of negotiation, hatchet-burying, and Jeff getting his wife's blessing, the deal was made. A week before the Survivor Series pay-per-view, Vince couldn't help but get excited. This was going to be good.

Sheamus vs. The Big Show (C) for the World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus wins by DQ, when Big Show accidentally-on-purpose nails the referee with a low-blow, as he is trying to break up their brawl. After the bout, Sheamus snaps in anger and unloads on Big Show in total frustration. He nails Show with his Brouge Kick finisher (one minute too late). Then for good measure, he takes a steel chair from the outside, sandwiches Show's ankle between it, and stomps down hard. Big Show is incapacitated with a busted ankle, as Sheamus leaves to sympathetic cheers from the crowd.
After a moment of the commentary team reflecting on what they just witnessed, the opening strains of Dolph Ziggler's entrance music is heard. The crowd buzzes with excitement of what is to come. Dolph sprints down to the ring, briefcase in one hand, while pulling referee Charles Robinson by the wrist, in the other. Dolph hands his briefcase over, announcer Justin Roberts declares that Dolph is officially cashing in his title shot, and the bell rings.
Dolph takes his time, using leverage to hoist Big Show onto his wobbly legs, only to add insult to injury, by nailing a big roundhouse kick to the chest, felling the Giant right back down to the mat. The pin is academic. He covers for the three count, and faces a very mixed crowd reaction.
---------------------------------------
Dolph's entrance music kicks up, as he and Vickie Guererro come to the ring for the cold open to a post-Survivor Series Monday Night Raw. Dolph is swaggering down to ringside, as Vickie is beaming at him, and proudly carrying the Big Gold Belt, signifying her man as WWE's World Heavyweight Champion. They step into the ring and Vickie is handed a microphone. The crowd immediately gets on her case.
Vickie: "EXCUSE ME! I want to -- I said EXCUSE ME!!! Now then, I want to present my man, and YOUR NEW WWE World Heavweight Champion -- I said EXCUSE ME!! I introduce to you, WWE's 2-Time World Heavyweight Champion...DOLPH ZIGGLER!!" (Vickie passes Dolph the microphone).
Ziggler: "I knew I could do it, and I did. I just had to bide my time and pick my spot. I'm now TWO-TIME World Heavyweight Champion of the WWE. Good luck to anyone wanting to get this away from me (He chuckles, the pauses thoughtfully). You know, I should really thank one special person (Vickie smiles). This person was there for me since I won the Money In The Bank. They gave their support as I waited patiently to decide when I wanted to make my mark (Vickie looks on in admiration). I should really take the time now to thank this individual (He looks at Vickie and smiles, then to Vickie) Oh, it's NOT YOU!!"
The crowd cheers, as Vickie looks gob-smacked at this revelation. Ziggler continues.
DZ: (To crowd:) "I don't know what you're all cheering about? You were on my case ever since the Spirit Squad! (Crowd turns on him, he addresses Vickie:) As for you... I don't know exactly when, but somewhere along the way, you lost your focus. It may be strictly business with us, but that's all the more reason I'm so upset. You allowed your other duties as Raw General Manager/Managing Supervisor/Whatever-the-hell-you're called now to shove MY career to the wayside. You let your obsession with the goings-on of A.J. Lee and John Cena get the better of you. I'm here to tell you that I've had it! I don't need your career services anymore. Get the HELL out of the CHAMP'S ring! NOW!!!"
Throwing the title down, a dejected Vickie, in tears, runs toward the backstage area, as the crowd chants the ever-familiar "Goodbye" song. Once she is out of sight, Ziggler continues his address.
DZ: "Now then, I'd like to introduce the MAN who will be in charge of my Championship career from this point forward (Several savvy fans start chanting 'WOOOOO', Ziggler ignores them). This gentleman is no stranger to the WWE Universe. He is a former Intercontinental Champion. He has also had his fair share of trouble with certain females within this organization. He's been gone for a while, but my silver tongue, along with the right amount of greenbacks, and he just couldn't refuse (Meanwhile, the commentary team wonder aloud about whom Ziggler could be referring to). Ladies and Gentlemen, my new manager..."
After a pause, Ziggler's theme starts back up. No one can be seen on the stage at first, and anticipation builds. Suddenly, a familiar face from years past appears (Jim Ross on commentary: "Oh my gosh! Can it really be??" His suspicion is soon confirmed).
DZ: "JEFF...JARRETT!"
The commentators, the crowd, and surely everyone at home are truly and rightfully stunned. Jeff Jarrett makes his way down, and joins his new client in the ring. Ziggler gives him the microphone.
Jarrett: "Well surprise, surprise. I guess they're hosting an ice-skating party down in Hell for ol' Double J. Didn't think you'd see me again, huh? For a while, I agreed with you. But recently, ol' Double J felt like something was missing in his life. My career was going nowhere, and things got just a bit depressing. One day, I turned on my television, and saw this man floundering. A golden opportunity lay in the briefcase he held, and I knew I could help him. I decided I would unselfishly put my career aside, and guide Mr. Ziggler to the pinnacle of our profession. How better to mold him, then to lead him to the very belt (Jeff points to the title now around Ziggler's waist) I once held myself. Now that we've accomplished that, I dare ANY WWE superstar to try and come for us. I promise it'll be your biggest regret. Ain't that right, Dolph?"
DZ: "Absolutely, Jeff. And let me just take this opportunity to lay out an open challenge for the upcoming TLC pay-per-view, December 16th, in Brooklyn NY."
Jarrett: "We'll see ya there, Slappy! (Jeff chuckles)"
Ziggler's music hits as Jeff Jarrett leads his protege out of the ring. The commentary team are struggling to find the words for the shocking return they just witnessed.
