Don't you watch television shows like House for example? They have characters with illnesses in every show...are they offending you too when someone has a heart condition on the show or has a heart attack?! or how about if a character has cancer?! does that offend you too? I'm not sure what either of those things has to do with professional wrestling. If I want drama and characters I'll watch Law & Order SVU(House was cancelled here a long time ago). I watch wrestling for the good matches that I'd hope would be put on each week. If I want a soap opera, I'll watch a soap opera. Lighten up...its entertainment...in the Attitude Era WWE did A LOT more distasteful angles and segments and fans loved it...now people are just a bunch of pansies that can't take it when WWE adds a little "attitude" or "edge", and at the same time beg and plead for WWE to do something edgy. Well, that was a taste, and look how you people reacted. That's not edgy though. The Nexus angle was edgy, this was both distasteful and accomplished nothing in terms of building storylines. WWE pushing the envelop in this day and age will not work, so they might as well just play it safe. Nobody was ever successful playing anything safe. They have no competition and are out of touch with their audience. Ratings are at an all time low, attendance is as low as its been in years too. What exactly does it hurt to try something different?

I learned a long time ago to not put too much though into it.. and I enjoy it on a regular basis. Same here. Sure, there are times that I disagree with decisions and get annoyed with the product. That's going to happen with anything. But overall I enjoy watching WWE (and wrestling in general). It's not always perfect, and never has been. But if you get mad at every little thing you don't like, then why even bother making yourself angry every week.

Some people take wrestling way too seriously. Especially the hardcore indy fans. They act like a bunch of elitist pricks when it comes to WWE, but they way they over analyze something that isn't real is really sad and pathetic. Sure, the WWE has it's faults, but Jesus Christ, to get all up in arms about certain things like they do is ridiculous. As one of those so called hardcore indy fans, I view WWE for what it is, the Applebees of pro wrestling. I'd rather eat at a local mom and pop joint than a corporate chain restaurant. The food is decent, not great but when it's cooked in a small unique place it's usually better. So do you also go to the Applebees forums and tell everyone how awful their lunch was no matter how much they say they enjoyed it?

If that's your take away from my comments you probably aren't able to take an objective approach to the product in the first place.

Its because wrestling used to be amazing in the golden and attitude era but since the ruthless agression it has gone stale.
