[sarcastic rant]I've had the better portion of the day to examine my new pickups, which included 4 figures that have the plastic shirts: NWO Savage, Rock, Brock, and American Badass Undertaker. I have come to the conclusion that I hate these plastic shirts. Why? Let me list the reasons:
1) They look more like body armor than a shirt.
2) Half of them have neck holes too small for easy removal over the figures head.
3) They have those pain in the butt plastic rivets on the sides that you have to connect so the shirt sits right.
4) At least half the plastic shirts I got today had scratches on the shirt designs before I ever removed them from the package.
The CM Punk I also got came with a cloth shirt that looks like a shirt with a nice clean, unblemished design and it can be taken off and put on oh so easily.
Is it really that much more expensive and/or difficult to make the cloth shirts that look like actual shirts and are very easy to take off and put on without the potential of breaking your figures head off?

All joking aside, I know I am making a mountain out of a mole hill since all the figures look really good but I do wonder why the switch to the plastic shirts?

I have no problem with the sleeveless plastic shirts, they're much better than the cloth ones. E3 Shawn Michaels' sleeveless shirt would often roll up on the sides and turn the front into an almost V shape. If Mattel continues making plastic sleeveless shirts for figures then I'd have no problem with that at all.
However, the ones with sleeves are a pain in the ass though. Its a mission to get them connected again plus they look too puffy and unrealistic.

I personally enjoy the cloth ones, but I have never opened any of my figs so that is a strictly display purposes opinion.

I prefer the cloth ones as well. And I'm not sure yet, but I think I loathe the painted on shirt series thats coming out.

The sleeveless shirts are great as plastic.
I hate the Orton/Miz shirts since they are a pain to put on.

I prefer the cloth ones as well. And I'm not sure yet, but I think I loathe the painted on shirt series thats coming out. Painted on shirts was my number two problem with the old Jakks figures. Number one was of course the scaling issues. |

like the E15 Bourne and the E19 Brock I like those plastic shirts because they're not hard to get on and off. But i'd prefer the cloth for regular shirts

It depends on what type of shirt it is for me. If its a short sleeved shirt or sleeveless shirt, I prefer the fabric. But if its a tanktop or flap shirt, I prefer the plastic. The plastic holds better on thinner stuff like tanktop straps. I didn't like how the fabric flap shirts used to roll up after a while.

If aba taker came with a cloth shirt I feel like the detail would be terrible. So I'm kinda glad it came with that sleevles shirt exactly how he used to wear. And E18 Taker is probably my favorite mattel figure yet.

however to answer a question, yes. it is absolutely much more expensive for them to make cloth shirts.

And E18 Taker is probably my favorite mattel figure yet. I do think that for the kind of shirt ABA taker and Rey Mysterio come with, the plastic isn't too bad. Cloth would definitely roll up over time without a title belt to hold it down. And yes, the ABA Taker is a very good figure. however to answer a question, yes. it is absolutely much more expensive for them to make cloth shirts. Damn those tiny Chinese seamstresses. |

I agree with those who said the plastic sleeveless shirts are okay and the sleeved shirts are horrible. I avoided the Elite Ortons with those shirts, and the WM 28 Miz with the Team Johnny shirt, which I bought to make Ricardo, well that shirt is awful.

I prefer the plastic ones so if i dont get a figure right away i dont have to deal with stains. also they dont look that bad imo or atleast not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. i feel the fabric ones lookd dumb because it is not possable to get them on there right without the sleves looking f@ucked up unless the arms are a certain way. so i guess both styles have their goods and bads |

I like the newer style of cloth they use for t-shirts, but for most other things, I prefer the plastic. |
