Cloth vs plastic shirts

Cloth as long as its not baggy. The plastic ones with sleeves are an embarrassment to the line.

At first I hated the plastic garments, now I don't mind it as much. Its still a pain to take the plastic coats and jackets on and off but realistically if I have a choice of plastic clothing vs higher prices, I'll take then plastic clothing.

I agree with all of this.

The sleeveless ones are great, but use cloth for the sleeved shirts. Except maybe shirts like the Randy Savage exclusive. Shirts with frays or unique styles look better in plastic.

Just looking at pics, I've realised that I'm really not a big fan of the material they started using for the shirts around a year ago (I think with RTWM The Rock and Elite 12 Justin Gabriel?)... It always looks kind of glittery.

In a weird way I kinda wish they could make a hybrid of both cloth and plastic.

i.e. Plastic coat with cloth sleeves.

I like plastic because you get amazing detial like with E6 Goldust, or E9 Miz, but it restricts articulation.

With cloth you get movement but some details might be missed.

If they did both atleast my E1 Undertaker would be able to take his hat off his own head.

I don't mind the sleeveless plastic shirts infact I prefer them. Too bad we won't see a Hogan given this treatment because the detail would be amazing on a "Hulkamania" yellow tank top with the slashes in the back.

I know it would look funny but I wonder if Mattel could make a plastic tshirt with cloth sleeves. They already epically failed with the all plastic tshirt so no shame in trying out something else to see if this would work.

I only say this because we would still have arm movement, but we would also get back print on the shirt.

Don't get me wrong, cloth is king, but it is kind of a bummer when I display my CM Punk with his back to the crowd and it doesn't say "Best in the World" on the back of his shirt.

I guess this is one of those subjects where no one will be happy...
until the year 2099 where figures grow their own shirts.

The points you bring forward are issues people are complaining about.. too small holes for the heads to get through etc... so.. how's that sarcastic?


Like most guys are saying, I think it depends on the type of shirt. If you're going to go with a short sleeved t-shirt I think that plastic isn't the best option as it really limits the movmeent for the figures arms and suchs (as you can really see on The Miz figure with the red Team Johnny shirt).

But when it comes to tank tops and such I think plastic is the way to go..


I do however thinkt hat if they used a bit more of a stretchy fabric.. the fit on figures would be more realistic..?

Apparently OP doesn't know the meaning of sarcastic, but that's beside the point.

I don't mind the plastic buttoning shirts, I just hate the hassle I go through putting them back on after I take them off. And forget about moving the figure's arms with these shirts on.
OK for display, terrible for playability.
