What's the best movie experience you've ever had? I'm not talking about just the quality of the film, I'm talking about the experience as a whole. I just saw the Tarantino XX re-release of Pulp Fiction, and it was amazing! Not only was it phenomenal to see such an iconic movie in the cinema, but the crowd it drew in only complimented and enhanced the experience. People were clapping at the perfect time, everyone was laughing and cringing at the same time. It was wonderful to share that experience with fans that all share their love for Pulp Fiction. It gave me chills when the audience irrupted into applause and cheers as soon as Misirlou started playing. Oh, and being an avid ticket stub collector, I love my new stub. $12.50 might seem a little much for an 18 year old film, but it was worth every penny.

Seeing The Social Network got me pumped. I am a huge NIN fan and the score was just perfect along with the movie. I was so pumped hearing Trent Reznor's music in a movie which I predicted he would win an Oscar for

Seeing The Avengers on opening night was quite the experience. People laughing at the jokes, clapping, and just enjoying the film. There was even a standing ovation at the end of the film. I've never been to a movie theater with people that invested in a movie.

I can't go to the movies anymore. I just simply can't sit in a theater with other people who don't have any courtesy for others around them.
People talk, people are on their phones and the light from their phone is distracting, people are chewing and rustling bags of food and other things.....I just can't take it.
I used to love going to the movies too, but rude people have just completely ruined the experience for me. I settle for waiting for the film to come out on Blu-Ray.

I got to see the Dark Knight Rises two days before it came out and that easily the best movie experience I have had. Everyone was invested into the movie, clapped at the right times and everything.

Waking up before 8 a.m. Friday of opening weekend to see The Dark Knight back in 2008. I remember how concerned I was that it would be packed for a 9 a.m. showing lol. Turns out it wasn't. I had been anticipating the film for months, hell, years after seeing Batman Begins in theaters; what with Ledger's death and the film's glowing reviews upon its release, I knew that I was in for something special. Toy Story 3, in particular the ending, was a real tearjerker and it definitely hit close to home after having grown up with 1 and 2. Also, the previous winter I was fortunate to see the final 10 p.m. double showing of Toy Story 1 and 2 in Disney Digital 3D at my local theater; the transfer to 3D looked incredible and has probably been my favorite 3D film thus far on the big screen. Two completely random honorable mentions would be Stay Alive and Scary Movie 2. Both were very fun audiences to have sat with in a packed theater at night on a weekend and definitely contributed to the overall viewing experience. Oh, and I can say that I've seen Spice World in theaters. Wait.

Paranormal Activity 4: Yeah the film sucked, but I was the only one in the theatre for the showing (2pm on a Wednesday but whatever) and being the only one, in an empty theatre watching a scary film....yeah Avengers: For weeks before it was released I couldn't give a about it because I hadn't seen any of the character movies, then like a week before it's release here, the movie channels decided to show Captain America, and it worked out that I could watch 1 film a day up to the release of The Avengers, better time than ever, watched Captain America, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Incredible Hulk then Avengers back to back days, thank god I did, wouldn't know what the was going on lol

I've never been to a movie theater with people that invested in a movie. Same. I make a habit of going to midnight showings because of the audience it draws. So Avengers was a no-brainer... Normally I get pissed at people yelling or talking, etc...but damn. This showing was an experience. I left there hoarse, tired and the next day I was sore. Honestly, the experience was kind of tantamount to getting laid. It was THE single best movie going experience of my life thus far. I'd have gladly paid 25 bucks or more for that one showing, it was that much fun.

Seeing The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX was amazing. And although a lot of people (including myself) don't think it was anything unique story-wise, seeing Avatar in 3D was very entertaining and has been to date the best 3D movie I've seen.

Chewing loudly is one of my biggest pet peeves. I still go to the theater quite often, but I do get quite annoyed nearly every time I do. The Pulp Fiction crowd was fantastic though. No one was talking, I didn't see a single cellphone screen, everyone was so immersed in the film.

Probably seeing Avatar in 3D on opening weekend was the most fun I've ever had at the movies. Just the way the audience reacted to everything, it was the first time, and really only time, I've really felt 3D was a benefit to a movie, and the visuals and the environments were insane. I felt like I was on a ride at Universal that lasted 2 and a half hours. Just very cool imo. Definitely not one of my favorite movies ever made, but certainly at the top of my fun-o-meter in terms of movie going experiences.
I went to see Raiders of the Lost Ark when they released that in IMAX not too long ago and that was absolutely incredible as well. Easily one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time, but it was like watching it for the very first time.
I think the only thing that is comparable to my Avatar experience was The Dark Knight midnight showing. Joker, Batman, it was better than I ever could have possibly imagined. The crowd was going crazy for everything, to the point where I went to see the movie again the next night because I missed parts of the dialogue because of the crowd reaction. Pretty awesome.

Walking onto the set of Forrest Gump in Washington DC, during my 8th grade class trip. All we knew was a Tom Hanks movie was supposedly being shot. While talking to some extras in 60s period costume, I couldn't help wondering what a film called "Forrest Gum" would be about. Little did I know...

The premiere of Live Free or Die Hard at Radio City Music Hall is easily my favorite movie experience. The sound was AMAZING; literally rumbling the theatre. I was two rows from the front; and sat next to Len Wiseman himself the entire film; which was a treat in itself!
Wonderful experience.
