I can easily open my dvds with out damaging that plastic wrap. And if I damaged the wrap I can easily replace it. So I dont think this is a very good idea. What mattel needs to do is send a memo out to toy stores letting them know what's going on. And then all we can hope for is that the stores tell the employees to check packages on all the returned items. Theft is something I also see in diecast peices. And some of those diecasts have way better packaging than wwe figures. This. There will always be theft/shrink and all you can do is make attempts to reduce it.

the real issue are the customer service reps.
what ever happens to that action figure will have no bearing on their life whatsoever. get back a figure with no accessories? OH WELL, its goin back on the shelves anyways.
you think that those little grannies working customer service at wal mart are gonna call you out......OK YOU LITTLE BRAT, THE PACKAGE SAYS IT COMES WITH BEST IN THE WORLD T SHIRT----WHERE IS IT ?!?!
if you want my honest opinion, they need to up their game to something similar to the mcfarlane figures that the edges are heat fused. the ones you NEED to cut to open.

M2 does that with the Diecast vehicles it makes. I've walked into TRU and Walmart and found regular hotwheels inside those packages. So how did that packing method stop a crook?

I'm not for this. I don't want the cost of figures to go up.

Best way would be little explosive inkbombs; now that would mark you as a thief!

I don't like that idea, because I just got the new Elite Cena for Hanukkah, and when I opened it, it had a ton of black paint all over its back. If you couldn't return it after the plastic wrap has been removed, I would be forced to keep this defective figures, along with plenty of other defective figures I have bought and returned in the past.

Good point, and great Sig!
