Digital Spy has an interview up with Ryback, which you can read here. During the interview, he discussed taking over for John Cena some day, stating the following…
"It's great to talk ahead. I focus on one day at a time, but my goal is to be WWE champion, World Heavyweight Champion. My goal is to not just replace John Cena but blow John Cena out of the water. I'm very vocal about that. I want to beat John in all aspects of this thing - merchandise, fan base - because I believe I can."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting, seeing as Cena's been pushed out of the main event, and down a peg, Ryback is the go to face of the company, I see him being World Champion next year but blowing Cena out the water, not too sure, I mean Cena is up around Hogan/Austin/Rock level, I don't see Ryback getting anywhere close to that.

Good luck with that. Give it a month, maybe two and he'll be back down in the mid-card status.

Meh. It could happen, but it's way too early to tell. Good for him to set goals and want to be the very best though.

His character gonna need to evolve, if he wants to be bigger than Cena. I can't see the meathead who speaks 3 syllables or less as the ambassador of WWE like Cena is. I don't imagine Make-A-Wish kids wanting to see this guy. (Then again, Goldberg was great with kids and charities.)
Just in terms of crowd response, it's nice to see people go crazy for someone new.

Honestly, nobody should criticize or make fun of him for thinking that way. It's not hard to figure that almost every wrestler's dream is to be the face of the company they are in, or the one with the most exposure. He wants to be successful and is setting himself some big goals. Good luck with that. I do agree that his character will have to evolve. Also, nobody even knows if he was responding kayfabe wise.

I like the enthusiasm, but that's not happening.

It's going to take a lot more than... FEED ME MORE and Squash matches for get me really get behind him. My problem with him is that he pretty much passed up Mid-Card Level and shot right up to Main Event Status. It was like, if you blink you'll miss it. I just with the WWE would have slowed down and maybe give him the IC Championship for a little bit before him getting a WWE Championship match.

I think he is going to be huge.. and hopefully he replaces Cena. Maybe Cena could actually do something interesting.

Funny man, no one in the company last ten years has been bigger than Cena, well besides Triple H, HBK and Taker. If Ryback believes he can do so, It would take him at least ten years to get passed Cena.

Obviously he's high to think he will be a bigger star then John Cena, who right now I would just have in the top ten or just out side in terms of the biggest stars of all time in pro wrestling history. However I love that he has that type of attitude,if you want to be THE MAN you have to have that kind of attitude and not the loser attitude of I'll never be a big or as good as the last mega star.
So bottom line I highly doubt he becomes a bigger star then John Cena or even the fact that he becomes of the face of the company but I love the attitude that he has in that he wants it and wants to be and even bigger star.

Forgot to add either way if it works out or not I would love to see a main event at Wrestlemania XXX of John Cena .Vs Ryback in a passing of the torch type of deal ala Hogan/Warrior just hopefully this time around it works out.
