Trading cards, much like figs are only worth what people are willing to pay. Not what people ask for them.

Honestly I spend more money on figures than I do on drinking. I'm 27 and most people I know are spending that equivalent on drinks on the weekends. It's all about seeing what your vices and hobbies are, seeing what your life plans and goals are, and finding a balance for it all. I am in a committed relationship and my girlfriend doesn't mind my collecting hobby/habit. But honestly I wonder all the time whether I should sell off some of my collection- at least so that the funds i'm spending on new figures is coming from old figures rather than hard work.
It's just a balancing act. I've learned in life as others have suggested to you- it's easier to adjust bit by bit than just diving in the deep end either way.

At this point, I'd rather drop my $20 on a Blu-ray, a book, dinner out, gas money, and so forth first.
I'm only getting the 1985-1997 Flashbacks and small handful of current guys I like (Brodus, Sin Cara, Punk, etc.)
