L.O.D. SummerSlam 1992 Entrance Greats

The Road Warriors, a.k.a The Legion of Doom, is undoubtedly one of the greatest tag teams of all-time. This custom pays tribute to one of the many highlights of their career, defeating Money Inc. to win the WWF Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam 1992.

For our take on the discontinued Entrance Greats line, we created a custom base that accommodates both figures and plays the full entrance music, about 3 minutes in length.

To the best of our knowledge, SS '92 was the only match for which the gold armor was worn. (They were worn in some promo photos but not with the same tights used at SS.) As with all our customs, we strove for "idealized accuracy." So while we went to great lengths to get the details right, we chose to keep the original torsos, even though at the time of the match, neither one was in the same kind of physical condition as the Mattel figures depict them. We took the same approach with the vambraces, using the original Mattel parts which we thought looked much better than the real ones which kind of looked like last-minute additions.
