There are a lot of great wrestlers who never got to hold the title. In your opinion who is the most deserving of a world title run? I think it's best to just take into account the WCW and WWE world titles. So guys like Luger and Vader won the WCW title even though they fell short of the WWE title and therefore don't qualify.
I don't think this belongs in the classic section as it takes into account modern stars.

Mr. Perfect in his prime...nobody was more talented or had more charisma. Obviously injuries and his drug use took a toll on him. But I don't think people realize how crazy talented he was.

I wanted to say Perfect, but I had to go with Piper. He had movies roles. Crossover appeal. He was great as a heel. He was great as a face. And could easily have held the company on his back.

Had to go with Piper for sure. He had it all and then some. Great idea for a poll Anvil Fan!

Roddy Piper, with Mr. Perfect being a close second.

Piper, Hennig and Owen are my top 3. But man, SO many great names never held the belt. Roberts is easily there, too.

Piper! Hogan wouldn't have become Hogan without Piper as his foil.
Also, why no Superfly Snuka on the list? He was over huge in the early/mid 80s and deserved a title somewhere along the way.

I voted for Mr. Kennedy only, because he had some much talent and charisma I thought for sure he would of been a World Champion by 2007.

I know this is for the WWE Championship but Im personally going to mark off anyone that held one of the "big titles" in the 80s/90s as I feel those titles (AWA World, NWA World & WCW World) were just as important as the WWF Title at the time....
That marks off Lawler, Funk, Steamboat, Perfect and Rude.
Outside of those, I feel any of these five could have/should have held one of the major World Titles at some point in their career.
1)Roddy Piper 2)Tully Blanchard (not listed) 3)Ted DiBiase 4)Jake Roberts 5)Paul Orndorff
