Im looking at the new set of elite ppv figures and the headscan on HBK is below par for me. That combined with the headscan from e19 tells me Mattel are having problems putting a good headscan together for him. The attire looks cool on the e19 but me and my brother agree the headscan is very weak. I dont think it resembles anything like HBK and the hair colour is also slightly off. Poor jobs for me, anyone agree? The basic wrestlemania heritage HBK was awful. The only decent ones were DM and E3.

i dont like the basic ones at all the elite 19 one is okay i guess but none are to good

I like the ponytail one, and the E19 one at certain angles looks great, but it's just an unusual expression for '97 HBK, and the hair is a tad too dark.
They usually struggle to get his hair right, I find.

Don't judge headscans by pics. I thought that Lawler and E19HBK were crap when I saw the pic. But in person theyy are both Phenominal! Glad I have them!

I love the E19 scan, and thats just from pics. Only thing missing is his curled lip. B14 is the worst scan ever.

Rockers HBK is amazing. E19 is good too. The rest are mediocre.

I love his elite 19 scan and his rumble heritage scan is good its the hair that looks weird.

feel the same way, when i first got the RR heritage set i saw the scan and was just confused, the defining moments one was nice though

I agree, none of them are great. The DM one is prob the best likeness.
Jakks RSC DX exclusive had by far the best HBK head scan imo.

It depends.....they look ok if they are painted correctly.
The early Shawn Michaels pony tail scan in 2-pack Series 1 with Chris Jericho had piss yellow colored hair and that made the figure look bad.
The Best of PPV Elite Shawn Michaels has hair that is too much of a reddish/brown.
The best pony tail HBK where the hair is an actual color that is correct for Shawn is the Entrance Greats HBK.
As far as the HBK scan with the hair down....Basic 4 HBK has a beard that looks like orange cheese doodle residue, and the Defining Moments hair is painted like red/orange. The one with the 2-pack with Triple H has a horribly painted beard. I'm sure I'm missing some others that were pretty bad, but those stick out in my mind as being exceptionally bad.
In my opinion, the best painted HBK scan with the hair down is the one that was the TRU Exclusive. The hair was the proper color and the beard was colored correctly too.
I said this in the thread I made a few days ago about Mattel painting hair and beards the wrong color and somebody tried to say it was because the scans are bad. In my opinion the scans are GOOD, it's just that a bad paint job can make a great scan look really crappy.

I think some of the basic ones with his hair done (DX HBK and WrestleMania HBK) are pretty good. I'm not really a fan of his other ones (Rockers, Entrance Greats, Royal Rumble, etc.)
