That's a shame I actually liked Trent Barreta. Anyways, best of luck in his future endeavors.

Maaan...
I don't really watch TNA, but I hope he goes there and proves WWE wrong. I think Trent Baretta could have been a huge star. They never gave him a chance to shine.

Sure he had a lot of talent and potential, but in the end, it's not like we're losing a constant performer, best of luck to him.

Annnnnnnnd life goes on. Yeah he was a decent wrestler, but that's it, not much of value was lost. I'd like to think he'll go somewhere where he'll be used and utilized properly, ROH, PWS, etc

Let us have a millisecond of silence for this release LOL but seriously, nobody's madder than me about this release but I knew this was coming. Like it was said earlier, I'm glad we got a figure unlike Rodney Mack or Tyler Reks, who had bigger pushes.

R.I.P. Trent Barreta's career. 2009-2013. #dudebusters4Lyfe (yeah, I've gone on record saying I never actually cared about the Dudebusters back when they were actually wrestling.. but Trentylocks won me over with his amazing series with Curt Hawkins in late 2010 on Superstars. the guy could go. Plus he had a certain charisma that never really given time. Too bad he was never given much of a chance overall...) Good points: He's only 25, 26 in March. We could see him come back someday. Maybe. But for now.... OH MY GOD! WHAT'S KENT BARRETI DOING IN THE IMPACT ZONE!?

Not a huge loss for WWE but a loss nonetheless. Hope TNA gives him a shot in the X-Division.

Why are people making the point that he was 'not over' to justify the release?
Of course he wasn't over.. you can't get over if you're not featured on television (unless you're Zack Ryder)
Is he a prized asset? No. Is he better than a hell of a lot still employed and featured by WWE? Yes.

He is talented, but just wasn't doing anything. Maybe he'll get better opportunities now.

Sucks to see anybody lose their job. Especially somebody who really seems to love the business and just wants to wrestle.
Hopefully he lands on his feet someplace where he can do what he loves and make some decent money.

Barreta may be a fine wrestler, but he never added anything to the WWE. Whether that's his fault for not standing out or the writing team for not giving him something to work with is up to interpretation, but overall, I'd say this is probably best off for both parties. WWE isn't using him AT ALL. He's better off going somewhere else where he can actually get work.

Pulling for him to go to TNA. I'm a big fan and I think he's a hidden gem. All kinds of personality if he ever gets a chance to show it off. I was hoping WWE would find a way to do something with him.
AND count me in the, glad we got a figure of him crowd.

Well that sucks. Not a big loss, but he was pretty good when they used him.
