I've seen him wrestle, and its nothing that the current roster doesn't have bucket loads of already, Need I say Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Ambrose and Rollins. these are talents that are yet to show their full potential since they debuted, so I'd rather they focused on fresh talent they already have on TV as opposed to a kid who has had chances on WWE TV and has looked mediocre each time.
I personally thought Barreta never had the look, and his release comes as little surprise. Give it a month or two and he will probably be in a Shield rip off team in TNA alongside Johnny Curtis.

I was just thinking how they were teasing the Trent/Kidd tag team in early 2012, right before he got his muscle tear.
It's easy to do "what-ifs", but that injury really screwed over his career. He could've been in Gabriel's position.. WM pre show, PPV and Raw appearances... instead he returned to NXT among fresh and upcoming talents who I guess didn't have as much 'jobber stink' as he did.
But he's young and has time. I really hope we someday hear WANTOFREEFOUR on television (real television!) again.
