Sucks. I rarely watch the "C" shows, but everything I ever saw out of Baretta was enough to make me think the guy could be a valuable asset to the mid-card. Can't say I'm surprised, though.

I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed. I really like Trent and while I knew he'd never be a top guy, he could have been an asset for WWE for years to come.
He is still young though, who knows what the future holds for him.

Wow I am a little surprised. Well actually I guess not since he hasn't had a match in God knows when.. But I figured since he lasted this long they would keep forgetting that he had a contract and he'd never get the boot. Sucks for him however I can see TNA signing him so good luck to him.

Won't bother me. He wasn't anything special. Tbh most people who casual watch wrestling probably won't even have any idea who he is so.....

He'll make a fine addition to the X Division.

Tbh most people who casual watch wrestling probably won't even have any idea who he is so..... I don't "casually watch wrestling." I'm a massive fan and have been since I was 5 years old. I don't like Trent Baretta. That's my opinion. I knew who he was and didn't like him.

Why does it seem whenever there's a thread like Trent Barreta being released and many people (like myself) feels bad, but doesn't really care that he got released, there's always one or two super fanboys that always has to start an argument like, "WWE didn't give him a chance" "He deserved better" They weren't using him because the writers didn't see any potential in this guy and they didn't see as anything other than a jobber/lower card wrestler. I really thought with the "Where's Trent?" segments on Z! True Long Island Story that he could have gotten a chance to get over. He tested him out on NXT like others. The writers in WWE still didn't see anything for him, so he got released. I'd rather see him doing great in the indies than not being used at all in WWE.
