Shawn vs Bret - WM13. Hogan vs Bret - SS 93. Jake Roberts vs Bret - Survivor Series 92. Warrior vs Bret - Royal Rumble 93. Austin vs Hogan - WM18. Kane vs Nash - WM18. Mr Perfect vs Kurt Angle - WM18. Flair vs Hogan - WM8. Hogan vs Big Show - WM23. We were supposed to have Show vs. Hogan at WM 23?

I've never even heard this one. That bums me out more than anything in this thread.

Half of these matches that were going to happen at WrestleMania 23 would've made that show so much better

Mr Perfect vs Kurt Angle - WM18. Flair vs Hogan - WM8. Hogan vs Big Show - WM23. We were supposed to have Show vs. Hogan at WM 23? Yes, those were the rumors. I also read Hogan was suppose to get involved in the McMahon/Trump storyline representing Trump facing either Shane or Great Khali representing Vince. Kind of glad that didn't happen, Umaga vs. Lashley was actually a pretty good match. I remember in 2003, before WM19, Angle hurt his neck at a house show and was suppose to drop the title to Lesnar on SD (the one where Eric Angle switched with Kurt) who then was suppose to defend against Benoit at WM19.

Considering HHH wrestled Cena at WM 22 and multiple times since then, I wouldn't say it's never happened On Shawn Michael's Heartbreak and Triumph DVD, They interviewed HHH about WrestleMania 23, he said that it was supposed to be HHH/Cena for the WWE Championship, but due to the injury Shawn took his place, and said it was cool to be able to watch his friend go out there and be in the spotlight once again for the WWE Championship. Personally, it's one of my favorites. Maybe it's the Nostalgia, but that match entertained me far more than most today.

Where was Shawn Michaels vs Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 22 & Shawn Michaels vs King Booker at Wrestlemania 23 rumored? I've never heard those before.
Also to the guy who said Stone Cold vs Hogan & Angle vs Perfect at Wrestlemania X8 those were just internet predictions. Never were either of the two rumored/confirmed. Everyone just thought they would make perfect sense, especially Stone Cold vs Hogan.

Nash vs Punk was supposed to happen in 2011 but Nash had some kind of heart condition and couldn't get cleared in time.
There was also that Austin vs Lesnar match set for RAW where Austin got pissed that they were doing it on free TV with no hype and putting Lesnar over so he quit WWE for a little bit.

Where was Shawn Michaels vs Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania 22 & Shawn Michaels vs King Booker at Wrestlemania 23 rumored? I've never heard those before. There was an F4W audio show featuring writers who were with WWE during that time and they were asked about rumors that Eddie was slated to beat Batista for the title prior to his death, which came about due to comments Stephanie made on the Eddie tribute show. They denied this and stated the plan was to lay the groundwork for a potential Shawn Michaels vs Eddie Guerrero match at Wrestlemania 22, with the build starting at Survivor Series 2005. Can't find that audio show, but the match was definitely discussed.

Savage/Warrior vs Flair/Razor, Natural Disasters/Bushwhackers vs Money Inc/Nasty Boys, and British Bulldog vs The Mountie were also supposed to happen at Survivor Series '92.

Why didn't Perfect/Angle happen? Any particular reason?

The only one that comes to mind is Austin vs. Brock.
And I don't know what anyone's talking about. Vengeance '07 was Punk vs. Morrison?

CM Punk vs. Chris Benoit - Vengence 2007 Benoit no-showed. LMFAO I always wanted Steve Austin vs The Rock vs Triple H, I know it was on the card for Survivor Series 99 but not sure if they ever planned going through with it or always wanted Big Show in it

There's always that talk of Sting working with WWE in 2002 negotiating a deal.
God damn.

Kane and Undertaker vs Heidenreich and Snitsky. Wrestlemania 21.
They planted the seeds at RR 05 during the casket match. But nothing ever came of it.

Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero was supposed to happen for the championship, however Eddie passed away before it happened.
And we recently found out that it was supposed to be Mickey Rourke vs. Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25.

The Rock vs Shawn Michaels. That would have been a Wrestlemania classic, my personal dream match.

Everyone just thought they would make perfect sense, especially Stone Cold vs Hogan. Yeah I don't think Angle vs. Perfect was EVER scheduled. I just think people really wanted to see this match (myself included!!!). I kept pretty close tabs on the WrestleMania card and the rumored matches and I don't recall Angle vs. Perfect being one. However it was mid-terms before spring break so I might have missed something It does make me wonder where Angle would have been had Nash vs. Kane played through, which was a heavily rumored match-up. We were supposed to have Show vs. Hogan at WM 23? Yes, those were the rumors. I also read Hogan was suppose to get involved in the McMahon/Trump storyline representing Trump facing either Shane or Great Khali representing Vince. I remember being so pissed about the rumors saying Angle was dropping the title and it would be Benoit vs. Brock for the title. Fortunately, we did get Brock vs. Angle! I remember for a while Hogan vs. Big Show was supposed to the co-main event too.

Why didn't Perfect/Angle happen? Any particular reason? Something to do with the Kane/Nash match being canned. No one's completely sure why as different sources claim different reasons but the most popular are that either Nash was injured or needed to be kept free incase Hall couldn't go against Austin ('cause of his problems).

Roddy Piper VS Raven back in WCW. They attempted to start the angle when Raven found an old picture of Piper in his garage after the whole Kanyon going to the mall thing. I think that would have been a pretty good feud.
