Any tips? I'm driving into uni in Norwich around 8:30 tomorrow, not looking forward to it at all. I live in a housing close which will be icy, but after that its a few relatively main roads so I'm hoping they should be gritted. The journey takes about 3 minutes with no traffic, but its around 10 at 8:30 because its rush hour. I really don't want to walk; it'd be about 30 minutes in the freezing cold and my laptop is pretty heavy. I've never driven in snow (passed in June) so would appreciate any tips on how to drive in it. I ing hate the stuff. To keep this interesting, anyone had any bad snow experiences?

Take it slowly, theres usually ice under the snow that you cant see. Other than that its normal driving.

Just take it steady and get there In one piece Defrost all your windows b4 you set off and get your car warm That way it will be a comfortable journey and you won't rush Don't make any snap movements on your steering wheel and as I said take it slow and steady You will be fine. Your a good enough driver to pass so your capable All the best

If you start to slide, turn IN TO THE SKID. I can't stress this enough. So many spastic people panic when skidding happens to them and it's relatively easy to solve for yourself if you remain calm.
Chances are though if you take it slow and easy you'll be fine!

My friend today has a steep hill for her drive, went up it and its off a main road. She started to slide down and was about to fall right into the main road so all she could do is turn into the wall beside her and crash it otherwise she'd probably be injured... BUT YEAH TAKE IT EASY

Drive slow.
Use busiest road if possible instead quietly road.
Keep watch out for black ice.
