I think mattel should make elite rings in basic size but a little bit bigger

it won't happen. Retailers don't want it...and if it went to Matty it would be like Castle Greyskull (priced double what it would have been if it went to retail, because of the limited production run)

Everyone is talking about price points being too high? The cell is like 80 bucks so obviously Matty isn't that shy about high priced playsets. Also, just because these "dreamers" list their elite rings on eBay for $400+ does not mean that is what they actually sell for nor doesn't indicate what they're worth. Judging by completed listings and feedback here I'd say most could get one for around $150 or less which really isn't a horrible markup when compared to some of these crazy Fig prices. This

I agree that making the Elite ring for Matty at $75 or so would be a nice decision. The ring retailed for somewhere around $60 or $70 when it was first released and that was when there was a higher production number...if it went to Matty the price would at least double because of the low production number for Matty. (just like the figs...Legends were $12 at retail $20 or $25 on Matty) and I'm sure Mattel would think of it as a risk at $120 + seeing they couldn't get it out at retail for $60/$70

I think they should do it.... Just exclusively make them... If not, i might have to look into making one on my own and sell them....

The demand is the same. A few hundred collectors on this website not going to change the fact that the retailers didn't want to touch the ESR. So to Mattel selling it to discount stores like Big Lots means the ESR was a failure. They aren't going to release it again...because retailers are more than happy buying the basic ring. And they know if they made it a Matty exclusive the cost would jump from $60/$70 to $120/$140 for a limited production run on Matty. And let's face it it wouldn't sell out in 3-4 days which again would mean failure to Mattel. Because if an item doesn't sell out on Matty within the first week it is considered a failure

I'm pretty sure Bill (MDT) said it sold wayyy to poor at retail for them to even consider it. Check Craiglist and eBay.

I gave up waiting on Jakks & Mattel to build a ring that suits me, so i built my own.
