Thank god they had Lesnar's appearance to fall back on, because this show was absolutely abysmal. Much like Punk's pipebomb at the last Raw Roulette in Vegas, the show was awful and centered entirely around one moment. Tonight is the same. Lesnar's return, at the very least, makes things interesting again. It's pretty clear that this is just planting the seeds for Lesnar/Triple H part 2, which, while I don't necessarily think is very exciting, I suppose it's something. The most important thing is that tonight leaves us with a bunch of questions - most importantly what happens to Punk? What happens to the Shield? To Maddox? Ultimately, to Heyman? Things are getting convoluted and there's either going to be some really great payoff in the coming weeks, or it's going to turn into a total mess. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Del Rio/Big Show segment. For two guys I don't particularly care about (though Del Rio is improving), they've done a hell of a job of making their feud actually mean something. The heat for Show tonight was unreal. Just a well planned, well thought out revenge segment that worked incredibly well and should serve as a huge launching point for Del Rio when he inevitably returns the favor. Everything else tonight was disgustingly bad. A bunch of matches that served no purpose other than to let the golden boys redeem themselves after losing the Rumble match, and of course, Cena squashing Cody Rhodes for absolutely no reason at all. Another directionless attack from The Shield, random interference from Sheamus and Ryback. A lame promo from The Rock, senseless whining and cowardly tactics from Punk. Just all around bad, bad, bad. Not to mention the dance off, diva's match, and singing competition, three of the absolute worst segments I've seen in the past decade. It's like they were completely aware that Lesnar was the only thing that mattered so they just threw their hands in the air and said "screw it" to everything else. couldn't have said it better....and honestly I don't really give a damn about a Lesnar vs. HHH rematch....so for me WWE looks really dismal right now. At this point I have almost no anticipation for this year's Mania.

It's too bad this leads to Lesnar/Trips 2. It's way too obvious that's where they're heading. This WM is going to seem awful familiar.

This Raw was really bad, and I'm not usually someone who complains and picks apart the shows like a lot of people do. There were some great things though.
Punk was great tonight.
Orton and Cesaro had a very entertaining match.
Sheamus getting a win is always nice to see.
I'm really glad to see they're sticking with Bo Dallas. He'll make a great underdog that people can really get behind. Dunno if he'll go anywhere after that, but right now, I like it.
And of course, Lesnar returned. I saw it coming, but it was great nonetheless. I was really expecting to see Triple H come out too though.

Well, maybe a little bit, but for the reason that the roster's stacked as it is and they don't need to keep adding to it. Too many people are already lost in the shuffle.

Not really Raw related, but was Bo Dallas included in the commercial for the "Intercontinental Cup" or tournament or whatever they're calling it?

Lesnar's return just saved the whole show, I really enjoyed the whole of that final segment. Now we know how Maddox was attacked too,it all falls neatly into place.

It's like they were completely aware that Lesnar was the only thing that mattered so they just threw their hands in the air and said "screw it" to everything else. Yup. I also loved that Show/Del Rio segment. When Show first turned heel it was hard to take it seriously and care about it because he's changed back and forth so much. But sure enough he's grown on me in recent months. The stuff with Del Rio has been surprisingly great and I'm totally behind a face Del Rio now. I didn't care for Del Rio when he was losing to Sheamus all summer but it wasn't until his feud with Orton that I legit felt bad; he spent most of the feud losing to Orton and getting nothing from it except for the second fall in a 2/3 Falls Match on RAW. It's actually cool to see him rebound from it and actually start to take off as a face. It's easy to look at Show/Del Rio on paper and say, "blah", but I'm happy with being genuinely surprised at how good it's turned out to be. In terms of Cena, I'm actually not that upset with him winning the Rumble. I'm not even upset that they're setting up for Rock/Cena 2 with Cena most likely going over. What bothers me is that it's the same story arc Cena's always had: overcoming the odds. If they changed it up a bit and gave Cena a bit of an edge in his hunt for the title, then that would make it more interesting. I'm not saying just go ahead and turn him heel, but they must know that Rock will be the de facto face again and Cena will get heat, so just give him an edge and make the feud a little more compelling. But I can't help but feel like it'll be the superhero routine where Cena considers himself the ultimate underdog and wins the big one for himself and his supporters with a feud that's built on namecalling, insults, and Rock Concerts. I'm assuming too much right now and maybe they'll take it in a different direction. On a side note: one thing that seems small but really bugged me was when Cena said he could challenge the World Champion and pretty much guarantee himself victory. I know it's clearly the 'B' title, but man.. it kind of craps all over whoever the champ is whether it's Del Rio, Ziggler, Sheamus, or what have you. In terms of Lesnar and what this means for Wrestlemania, I'm not that interested in Lesnar/HHH 2 but it beats the other big rumor of Lesnar/Undertaker. I think I'm the only person that really, really doesn't want to see that happen. If it were up to me he wouldn't wrestle again because going a perfect 20-0 at the End of an Era was perfect for me. That's not to say you can't involve him at Wrestlemania though. Maybe build up HHH/Lesnar with everyone expecting HHH to challenge Lesnar but instead HHH refuses. Maybe even sell it that he's intimidated and get Lesnar over more as unstoppable; make HHH doubt himself. Then finally Undertaker appears and convinces HHH to do it, play up the whole respect thing. At Wrestlemania HHH beats Lesnar, Lesnar starts a post-match beatdown, the lights go out and Taker makes his appearance by making the save. Or something, I don't know. Just spitballing. I just don't really care for Lesnar/Taker. The early Wrestlemania card looks like, Rock/Cena, HHH/Lesnar, and, maybe, Undertaker/Punk.. ? Too early to tell, I guess. Long story short - yeah, RAW sucked aside from a couple of good segments.

Im still not sold on anything. Yay we get a Rock/Cena and Brock/HHH snoozefest yet again, Punk gets fed to Taker once more and PTP showcase why they should be staples, but yet are always buried.
Atleast Jericho and Ziggler are compatible opponents, but im sure the WWE will figure out a way to mess it all up.

The dance off and the sing off will both go down as 2 of the worst and cringeworthy moments in WWE history. I literally change the channel so nobody heard or saw what I was watching.

Jesus Christ.. There is no pleasing this board. That was a GOOD Raw to set up the Road to Wrestlemania.. They're building Jericho/Ziggler, Punk/Rock 2, Rock/Cena 2, Lesnar showed up.. And The Shield was working with Heyman and Punk.. What more could you seriously have ing asked for? You guys need to settle down and start watching as fans instead of dumbass internet smarks.

I very well believe this can just as well be leading to a Punk vs Lesnar match at Mania.
But if it really is gonna be Rock Cena 2 and HHH Lesnar 2, then thank god I didn't buy tix.

The Lesnar ending was amazing and really saved an otherwise weak show on the back of the Rumble.
I mean, what the hell? The Rock, a man who literally just over 2 years ago we thought we may never see again in a WWE ring, is now the WWE Champion - and that's what we get after? A crappy promo by Rock, followed by a generic promo by Punk setting up the rematch?
It should have been a furious promo by Punk. This is the so-called reality era. Last night was probably (kayfabe) the worst of Punk's career. He should have came out all guns blazing and attacked the Rock's very character. He should have called him a sellout to professional wrestling, a fake idol, a liar, a phony. Why did WWE not do this? It was the bare minimum I expected.. the blowoff from last night's match was terrible.
Cena's incredibly surprising announcement was incredibly unsurprising and dull. Every comedy segment was atrocious and stupid.. not exactly helped by the commentators acknowledging that they were atrocious and stupid, before apologising to the viewing audience.
Big Show and Del Rio was great. If the WHC feud could produce that kind of intensity and heat on a weekly basis, it would be perfect. Generally, the WHC match at a PPV is around the 3rd or 4th most important match; so all things considering, great segment. Y2J/Ziggler was actually quite funny, good segment.
As mentioned at the start, final segment saved the show. So many possibilities can happen from this. Firstly, the video of the Shield attack on Maddox was awesome. Paul Heyman keeps his job and Lesnar is back under his control; attacking Vince. This is huge, because if HHH/Lesnar go at it at Mania, I would hope to see a month of promos with Lesnar/Heyman v Vince/HHH going at it on the mic. That's sure to be gold.
I think Punk needs to win at Elimination Chamber to set up what seems to be an inevitable triple threat at Mania.

I'll say this, I'm not completely praising them. Loved the end, and loved the Ziggler/Y2J interaction, but it took sitting through a lot of crap to get through it, which sucks. The show should have a build up of good through out, not, getting your head banged against the way for 2 and half hours, and then finally having a pillow put between you and the wall. To me the end was a bit of relief from a lot of pain. I'm not even really talking about any ONE member in specific. It's just funny to me everyone was like " WWE! I'm DONE! BOYCOTT!, etc" and now everyone is marking out like a little schoolgirl because of Brock. They complain about Rock being given the strap, but the dude sells, crowd loves him and he's actually BEEN at a lot of the shows lately. Then they turn around and PRAISE Lesnar who shows up once every 6 months when he F5's McMahon. Funny to me. This is what wrestling fans do.
