"To announce it on a TV show... I think it just speaks to how in the bubble they are, and how they are desperate to look like they're something. They way they're doing it makes them look so super bush league. To shine the spotlight on the fact that they don't do s--t [and] that they've been in the same place for a million years. To the average fan, they're going to shrug like, 'Who gives a damn? Great, you're going to be in Alabama next week, who cares?' To them [the average fan], a big announcement is that you signed Steve Austin, you signed the Rock, or you're bringing in this, or you're bringing in WarGames... it's preposterous, it makes them look like the fools they are." Saw this earlier, no big deal. Most WWE writers are soap opera guys, they don't know sh*t.

I do agree that Dixie made a big deal about something that they should have been doing many years ago. But I don't see why I or anyone else should care what this guy has to say. He's a nobody to me, sorry.

TNA really should have done things like this a long time ago but WWE writers are terrible and have no room to bash anyone.

Won't make much of a difference. They're not going to get any bigger in today's wrestling market.

... He's right though. I'm trying to get into TNA but when they consider the idea that they're taking their show on the road as a big announcement it really does show that they are most definitely bush league and a long ways away from competing with WWE still.

A lot of negativety about the comment I think for people who like watching the product but live so gar from Orlando Fl sree it as a major announcement because they might have a better chance seeing a live show. Hell im excited i live in california dacramento area and catch a few wwe shows a year. Its a sign of growth in the company.

Saw this earlier, no big deal. Most WWE writers are soap opera guys, they don't know sh*t. That is mostly true although this particular writer, Court Bauer, was involved in pro-wrestling before his days in WWE. He was involved with MLW in the early 2000s. So he does have a knowledge of wrestling where some writers probably wouldn't. With that said, I still don't think his opinion of TNA really means that much. On a side note, he along with Konnan run the MLW podcast. It's pretty entertaining based on the ones I've heard. It can be found on iTunes or www.mlw.com.

It's an interesting podcast, I've listened to it a couple of times. As usual though, Konnan rips on TNA just about every episode though.

Yeah, from the few episodes I've listened to, it mostly seems to be "TNA is dumb" (which 9/10 times I can agree with) or "Rey Mysterio isn't on roids."

I didn't have a problem with the announcement. Didn't Bischoff keep WCW off the road for a while as a way to build up funds? I think he did that, then when he felt they were making enough money he took the show on the road.

I hear your point, but TNA isn't trying to compete with the WWE anymore. If you watch their show it is nothing like WWE anymore, and even WWE is ripping ideas from TNA (good or not). They're trying to grow and meet their own goals. Who cares about what a former writer guy without a job says?

The announcement is a day late and a dollar short like most things TNA does. To the statement, I suppose it is in the bubble. It's a weak jab at tna and not really relevent. The comments about tna copying from wwe however, are laughable. If anything, it's been the other way around. For god;s sake every title is held by a WWe reject.

I find it funny that almost 85% of the people posting comments about this "soap opera writer" have no f'n clue who he is. Court Bauer is the guy who created MLW and brought it many of the names we see on the indies, WWE, and TNA television today.
Court Bauer QUIT his WWE Creative job, he didn't get fired. So, sure he is "without a job," but it was on his own terms. Court Bauer is one of the most ingenious and brilliant minds that the wrestling industry has right now. He has been compared to a young Paul Heyman and MLW was one of the best indies during it's peak.
What he said about TNA acting like taking Impact on the road is a big announcement is true. Who really gives a shit. They are going to end up spending and losing more money by going on the road. I think it's great when armchair wrestling experts try to claim that Court Bauer is a "nobody." Do your homework if you're going to comment on something.

Were they supposed to NOT announce this? Not saying don't announcement but don't hype it as a groundbreaking announcement either.
