I am currently collecting all wrestlers from 1997, one of my favorite years and I'm looking to add Undertaker and I noticed the trench coach, the gloves, the black elbow pads are very similar to his 1997 entrance attire but what about his ring attire? can anyone help me. Is E8 Taker close enough to add to my 1997 collection?

Go with Defining Moments. That attire is from Survivor Series 1996, only 2 months off from being considered a 1997 figure. SDCC UT is from 1999...

His entrance attire looks so similar to 97. All I would have to do is add another elbow pad. I would go on the bay get the E8 Undertaker coat, Buy the DM figure&just put the coat on Dm taker. |

You're correct in saying the entrance attire resembles his 1997 Ministry Of Darkness robe of his, but it's actually based on 2009-2010, when taker retired the trench coat and began wearing a more intricate version of his MoD look. If you don't plan on removing the robe on display, you can just add another elbow pad to the figure and you'll be set. However, the ring attire underneath is his Deadman gear, with red designs. it is a great figure regardless, and the head scan is great for a bunch of poses, but besides the entrance robe, the figure doesn't resemble 1997 Taker much.

I think I'll go with E8 Undertaker and the 1996 Defining Moments Head because he has the black tear drop on his face to match is 97 look. Yeah, I'm just gonna leave the coat on, its only on display. Get a hat and throw the winged eagle over his shoulder for the final touch.

No def not. Hes wearing that singlet under the coat. I did a simple fix with the defining moments undertaker to use with my attitude era display. Just switched the head and hands. Not 100% accurate but it works. Maybe u can get the e8 coat to put on him.  |

I think the E8 Head looks accurate to the time period your going with. Just draw a teardrop with a thin sharpie under his eye and it'll be cheap and efficient

E8 has the logo that his 18-0 figure and e14 figures have but in red instead of blue

I hate that skin tone on the DM. It's a great figure generally, but has a weird orangey tan when Taker was pretty pale purplish at the time.
