Christian won't be DLC, he's to big of a star. It's like in SvR 2007 or 2008. Triple H was injured and he still made it on the game.

Here's my take on the roster. The cover contest features all of the WWE '13 veterans returning for 2K14. The webmaster started uploading new characters alphabetically before realizing his mistake, stopping at Brad Maddox. Big E Langston Bo Dallas Brad Maddox (this is where the webmaster stopped uploading newcomers' portraits) Dean Ambrose Fandango Kaitlyn Roman Reigns Seth Rollins Tamina Snuka ( maybe… she wrestled Kaitlyn at Elimination Chamber for the Divas Championship) As for DLC, I'd expect to see Christian, Curtis Axel, and Rob Van Dam. I highly doubt Christian would be DLC. I find his situation to be similar to Rey Mysterio for last year, and Rey was still on the disc for WWE 13. And let's not forget that Barrett missed a long time and still ended up being on WWE 13. Plus it's not as if they have to change Christian's model or entrance in anyway. Honestly, I'm not in the least bit concerned about what the modern roster is, as it's 95% guessable bar one or two guys. And with DLC, we should get everyone that's even remotely important on (I'm guessing RVD will be DLC). I'm more concerned over the direction that they'll be taking the legends roster in, if there is any direction at all. I hope we don't just get a cluster  of legends again from random eras, in random attires. |

If Austin and Michaels had shared a timeframe then maybe you could conclude that Savage was just thrown in there to appeal to other audiences and there may be a few more one-offs like him. But seeing a modern Michaels, an Attitude Era Austin, and Savage from the 80s gives me little to no hope that we'll get anything nearly as comprehensive as we did last year. |

Personally, I loved the idea of getting legends all from different eras. It meant that there was always something for everyone.

I'm not quite losing hope yet. Shawn could be considered like Edge and Nash on the last game as part of the current roster (as a legend). Austin could be there as part of an AE roster and Savage could just be a thrown on guy because of his popularity and it wouldn't have been much work to add him from WWE 12 (just an attire change). Either that or Savage could be on for an 80s roster and Austin could just be a guy who's thrown on (as I'm pretty sure he's been on every single game apart from SvR11). I think we need to see a little more before we know for certain, but if we get a cluster again. I'm going to definitely pass on this game unless they've managed to secure Owen Hart or something. |

I was actually thinking it would be a pretty cool theme if they did loads of legends but based them on how they look now. That way we'd have these guys on, but they'd actually fit into one giant roster rather than segregating them. They can base their looks on how they look now (or at least within the past couple of years). They wouldn't necessarily have to have competed in the WWE the past few years either.
So we could have:
Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Kevin Nash, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Goldust, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Godfather, Vader, Rikishi, Backlund, JBL, Sid, Animal, X-Pac, Batista, Doink, Brooklyn Brawler, DDP, Honky Tonk Man, Gilberg, Goldberg, Steve Blackman, Grand Master Sexay and Scotty Too Hotty, Fit Finlay, Hardcore Holly, Hurricane, Tatanka, Ultimate Warrior, Scott Steiner etc.
Maybe some of them could have classic attires, but I think it would be an interesting take on the legends roster for once. It'd be cool for Universe mode because it would be like having these guys coming back to compete with the new guys.

You get people complaining no matter what lol. And I 100% know that people would complain about them being on over their Justin Gabriel or Tyson Kidd level guys. I also know that it's really unlikely, but I think it'd be an interesting take on the roster nonetheless. |
