clearly Yukes and Cory Ledesma are the reasons why the WWE THQ franchise was a yearly rehash. The market is the reason the WWE THQ franchise was a yearly rehash. The games didn't have the budget or time to build a new engine every year, and they sold fine just by being roster updates with a few new options/moves/etc. And as the guy above said, expecting anything else this year is utter insanity.

Ehh no divas in trailer, was thinking we'd see AJ or something.. Guess it'll need to wait till a bit further down the line... I'm definitely getting the game anyway.

With all the kerfuffle over the THQ/2K semi-merger, I wouldn't be surprised if this year was just a quick cash crab rehash with an updated roster just to put a game out this holiday. 2K could be working alongside this installment for next years possible next-gen jump.
Then again, based on several; incredibly vague opinions of those who play tested it, the changes sound at least positive and somewhat substantial.

So on the site's roster page, it has 7 more spots and then says "Full Roster Coming Soon". Hopefully this means we will get some more guys revealed soon in some sort of way. I hope we at least get to see Team Hell No out of those 7 (if that's what the 7 Question Marks even mean).

If I had to guess a roster, I'd go for:
Superstars: Alberto Del Rio Antonio Cesaro Big E Langston Big Show Bo Dallas Brad Maddox Brock Lesnar Brodus Clay Chris Jericho CM Punk Cody Rhodes Dean Ambrose Damien Sandow Daniel Bryan David Otunga Dolph Ziggler Drew McIntyre Heath Slater Jerry Lawler Jinder Mahal John Cena Justin Gabriel Kane Kofi Kingston Mark Henry Michael Cole *ugh* The Miz R-Truth Randy Orton Rey Mysterio The Rock Roman Reigns Ryback Santino Marella Seth Rollins Sheamus Sin Cara Tensai The Great Khali Triple H Undertaker Wade Barrett Zack Ryder
Divas: AJ Brie Bella Layla Kelly Kelly Natalya Nikki Bella
Legends/Alumni: Bruno Sammartino Mick Foley Randy Savage Ric Flair Stone Cold Steve Austin And a couple of others I'm not sure about.
I'd also guess that Fandango and Curtis Axel will be DLC if they make it in at all. Maybe we'll get lucky and get people like PTP, Kidd and Hawkins among others, but it seems doubtful.

I read about this idea: since it's the 50th anniversary of the WWE Championship, what if "Become Immortal" means that we relive through the best WWE Championship matches in history. (Rock and Michaels are current models, but could have past alternate attires) And a career mode can have us create a rookie and rank him up to win the WWE Championship.

I dunno if Fandango will be DLC. Big E Langston's first on screen match happened the same night as Fandango's. Not only that, but Fandango's vignettes started in November.

Why would Fandango be DLC? His vignettes started in November and he competed at Wrestlemania, if I remember correctly the cutoff time is normally around Money in the Bank

He should be included on the main roster. Then again, look at last year. We got AJ as DLC. She was around well before then and played a huge role in the World Title picture before, at, and after WrestleMania. So we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah and Tensai and Ryback who debuted 1 and 2 days after Wrestlemania respectively ended up being DLC. Seeing as Fandango is a brand new model it could go either way. But at the same time, there really aren't THAT many new people to even add this year.

But at the same time, there really aren't THAT many new people to even add this year. I'd argue that point. Lets hypothetically say that the Cover Contest confirms Bo Dallas, Brad Maddox and Big E Langston. We also have the previously mentioned Fandango, Kaitlyn, The Prime Time Players, and The Shield. That is definitely a significant amount of new superstars.

I won't be surprised if some popular newcomers that probably should have made the default roster end up as DLC, people are more likely to pay for the Shield and Kaitlyn than lower card superstars who get left out, it just makes too much sense. Personally I doubt the Prime Time Players will make the roster. What exactly have they done to warrant a spot in the game?

Very true. I can only imagine how much AJ and Ryback boosted the sales of last year's DLC. I don't know if they'll go as far as to make the Shield DLC, but it definitely wouldn't not make sense to from a business standpoint.

The Shield will definitely be on-disc. The cut-off point for new additions to the on-disc roster is around WrestleMania usually. Last year was different because they had to make so many new models for all the attitude roster that new current guys who debuted around then didn't make the cut. Around now is the final cut-off point for DLC. The Shield are a major selling point for this year's game, and the company would be subject to fan backlash if they didn't include them on the default roster.

Here's my take on the roster. The cover contest features all of the WWE '13 veterans returning for 2K14. The webmaster started uploading new characters alphabetically before realizing his mistake, stopping at Brad Maddox.
Big E Langston Bo Dallas Brad Maddox (this is where the webmaster stopped uploading newcomers' portraits) Dean Ambrose Fandango Kaitlyn Roman Reigns Seth Rollins Tamina Snuka (maybe… she wrestled Kaitlyn at Elimination Chamber for the Divas Championship)
As for DLC, I'd expect to see Christian, Curtis Axel, and Rob Van Dam.

Smart smart guy! That theory makes so much sense. If Christian is DLC, that's going to feel weird to me. I know he missed some time and is just coming back from injury, but when you think of him, he doesn't seem like a DLC guy if anyone knows what I'm saying (not a low carder, not a new Superstar, not a Legend, not recently signed, etc.)
