Yeah, that'll probably be the case. Regardless of the new company, they're still dealing with the same technology--at least its limitations. I don't get why people think THQ were kidding when they said the reason they could only do six is because of the memory/model quality. It's not like some bull**** answer or something. It's true. Hell, I've ran into some frame rate drops in '13 on a few rare occasions--and that's even without six guys in the ring. I assumed that this would be out for the next gen... There is a chance it may be. I'm thinking WWE 2K15 will be the first WWE game on the next gen. I hope I'm wrong.

While I can't say for sure, I can almost guarantee that 2K14 will be on the current generation of consoles. They started working on it before '13 was even done. We all know 2K isn't starting from scratch with it. Plus, there isn't even any information out on the new XBOX, so how would they have the knowledge or access to the technology needed to make the game? Look at the 360 and PS3. They 360 was out in November of 2005. The first WWE game on there was 07. The PS3's first one wasn't until a year later with 08.

2K is usually good about getting games out for new platforms. I wouldn't be surprised if 2K14 saw a PS4 release at the end of the year when the system launches.

Can't say I've followed that in the past--I'm only going off of what we've seen with these past games. It'd definitely be interesting if they could. I'm still not expecting it to be the case, though.

I'd think that the PS4 version of 2K14 would be almost identical.

I will not be happy if the game is any better if it's released for PS4.

Ps4 and xbox 720 will have features that the ps3 and 360 will not. You either upgrade or you miss out. If you don't want to spend money on a new console then that is fine, but you can't then complain that your version is missing features. I would not be surprised if we got a ps4 port at all. Like someone else said 2k are damn good at getting stuff out on a new console. Event if it is just a slight graphical upgrade.

I am actually kinda excited about this! 2k is really good at updating stuff! They are good with roster updates, shoes(nba 2k13), etc...Hopefully they can do this in WWE 2K14. For example...Nba 2k13 focuses on Three main players for shoes...(Lebron,Durant,Kobe) Maybe they can update attires with Cena,Punk, maybe even Ziggler..or someone along those lines. Hopefully they can update rosters too! Just like NBA 2k. Now alot of people say 2k focuses more on XBOX(which is true) XBOX always gets more stuff, better graphics in 2k games. But the Ps4 will be out in November(same time as WWE2k14) So do you guys like this idea? Do you guys agree with me that 2k puts more work in Xbox? and do you guys think that WWE2k14, will be for the PS4? & do you think they will take away Superstar Threads?

I am hoping for an entirely revamped game this year. The past few years of WWE Games have gotten kind of stale. Something exciting would be nice. I really enjoyed the Road to WrestleMania mode. Or maybe something like the storymode from SD vs RAW or Day of Reckoning where you would start from the bottom and work your way up with a CAW.
I felt WWE 13 took away from the current WWE product and focused way too much on the Attitude Era. Which for some was okay but for me, I am interested in what is happening in the now. I hear 2K is good with producing great quality games. Only time will tell if whether or not we will see something different brought to the table that THQ couldn't dish out.

The PS4 doesn't even have an official console design yet; they aren't finished with deciding how it should look. It's not needed to make the game by any means, but WWE games usually get released just before the significant holiday releases come out and the PS4 isn't out until holiday season. I doubt a PS4 port will be made for launch.

Absolutely buzzing to see something new and fresh from a WWE game. It's obvious that WWE 2K14 will use the THQ engine, but I'm interested to see what they do with everything else, aside from the gameplay.
Can't wait for WWE 2K15, though. That'll hopefully be a complete new game engine and the first title on the new next-gen consoles.
Still interested to see what they do with 2K14. When did THQ/Yukes usually start to release info on the next instalment? Is it after 'Mania?

I will not be happy if the game is any better if it's released for PS4. It's the opposite for me. I think the WWE series was held back by needing to develop a PS2 version. I remember buying my 360 with '07 after I already had '07 for the ps2 and thinking "Wow, this is the exact same game, just with nicer graphics." I don't want the current-gen consoles to stop the WWE games team going all-out on the next-gen ones.

I wonder if they're going to go down the route of WM15-WM17 (or 18) this year. That'd be pretty awesome. But hopefully they'd still have people like Bret Hart on just like they had Eddie, Jericho etc on '13. Maybe this time they'll put Mr Ass' damn logos on .

Match Type Improvements: Added Steel Sound Effect to the Elimination Chamber Ability to escape Hell In A Cell through the door Weapon Wheel added to Hell In A Cell (If its not added already, can't remember) Ability to throw certain weapons on top of the Cell OMG! Moments added to the Elimination Chamber

It's usually May when we get the first tidbits of info. That was THQ. 2K historically keeps info at a minimum until close to release date. Obviously no idea if this changes for WWE, but don't be shocked if we get less info or go long periods of time between whatever info we get.

All I'll say is, if this year's game has virtually identical presentation (entrances, models etc.) and gameplay (animations, moves, grappling system etc.) to last year, I'm not pre-ordering, I'll wait a month or two for a price drop. I'm kind of fed-up with the look and feel we've had for years now.

Moments added to the Elimination Chamber I don't see anything I disagree with. Also more catching finishers. At the very least I'd like to see catching versions of: The Rock Bottom Baldo Bomb Sharpshooter F5 Spear Brogue Kick Walls of Jericho
