[Show 6 of 10] [Second Round Matchups] [April 6th, 2013]Once again, as per usual, Salton opens the BtB show, announcing the card for tonight before introducing Connor O’Reilly, who has something to say. O’Reilly says that his support has gone south after he ‘assaulted’ Bennett after their tag match a fortnight ago. Connor says that he wants to get things straight, it’s nothing personal, and he’s not a horrible guy who just attacks people for the fun of it. O’Reilly states that Bennett was underestimating him and that while he’d love to make friends with the guy, he’s serious about this tournament and so he sent a message to Ace. Bennett comes out now to a huge pop from the crowd. Ace tells Connor that he respects what he did but he only added more fuel to the already blazing fire inside of Ace which is igniting his desire to succeed in this tournament. Bennett says that since Connor is serious, and he’s serious, that they should step things up a notch for their match and therefore is challenging him to a No Disqualifications match. O’Reilly smirks and quickly accepts, wishing Ace luck, and telling him that he’ll need it. Riley Shamrock def. Jack Joseph to advance to the Quarter FinalsA fantastic opening match between these two men, who both put their heart and soul into coming out on top. These guys are fast paced and their styles countered each other very well. Many put Joseph forward as the favorite going into this one, though Riley ended up surprising many and was the better man on the night. The finish to this one saw Joseph shockingly kick out of the Generation Driver, and put Shamrock on the back foot as he changed the course of the match with a super kick. Joseph hopped onto the apron and managed to spring over and land the Blackbird. Joseph went up top for the Flying Saint but Riley dodged and Joseph landed the backflip. Joseph ran at Riley, who grabbed Jack’s head and rolled him into a small package for the shocked three count. Cally Alderson def. Shane McCorven to advance to the Quarter FinalsThis looks like a show full of upsets this far, the rookie Alderson has been the surprise of the tournament, with another big win here over Shane McCorven. McCorven seemed cocky, which may have cost him. Shane was dominating the early going, and took a lot of time to taunt the fact that he was winning after hitting a move on Cally. Cally managed to rally the crowd behind him during comebacks, and he’d nail Shane with move after move, Alderson’s athleticism managed to fend off Shane and entertain the crowd at the same time. The finish to the match saw a series of clubbing blows, with both men balancing on the top rope, McCorven began to gain the upperhand and an evil smile spread across his face as he attempted to set up the Crippling from the top rope. Alderson fought all he could though and kick McCorven hard in the gut, holding onto the ropes to stay balanced. Shane fell hard onto the mat and Cally rose to connect with the Maverick, a diving senton, and clench the win. Hunter Kellen def. Zeke Walker to advance to the Quarter FinalsThe former PTW Champion fought the current reigning ISW Champion in this intense battle for a spot in the Quarters. It’s a shame that both Hunter and Zeke could not advance further in the tournament, but there could only be one winner, and both men were desperate to be that one. Walker, the more experienced in the match was excellent at countering Kellen’s offence early on, whereas Hunter was finding it difficult to prevent Zeke’s technical maneuvers. The go-home sequence here saw both men battling outside of the ring, only for Hunter to Plague Kick Zeke straight into the barricade. Kellen slid into the ring, begging for a count-out victory, however, Walker made it back into the ring at 9. Hunter quickly hoisted Zeke for bless the fall but the ‘Golden’ Walker flipped over and downed Kellen with a neckbreaker. Zeke continue with the upperhand, successfully downing Hunter with the Trance Out and the DD-Zeke. Walker taunted a Zeke Driver and actually hit it but Kellen rolled underneath the ropes and Zeke tried to pull him away, but was instructed by the referee that if he continued to attack Hunter he would be disqualified. Zeke argued with the referee. Giving Hunter the time to get to his feet and nail a Codebreaker, quickly capitalizing to keep Zeke down for the three count. Salton appeared before the main event, to announce the Quarter Final Matches, as per usual, they will occur over the course of two shows and are as follows: Cally Alderson vs. Elliot Reid Riley Shamrock vs. Sam Kineval Justin Tyger vs. Mike Bockwinkel Hunter Kellen vs. Ace Bennett/Connor O’ReillyNo Disqualifications Match Ace Bennett def. Connor O’Reilly to advance to the Quarter FinalsA cracker of a main event and a fantastic way to close out round two. Those in attendance still seemed bitter at O’Reilly, for attacking Bennett to weeks ago and Ace played to it, capturing the cheers over to his side, in order to boost his momentum going into the match. Whilst exciting and full of excellent wrestling, this one was also physical and when the No Disqualification rules started to come into play, it was only a matter of time before the match began to come to a close. O’Reilly was the first to make the move, grasping a steel chair, which he repeatedly bashed over Ace’s head and body. Bennett eventually wrestled the chair from Connor and threw it back at him, just to connect with a dropkick, slamming the chair into O’Reilly head with his feet. The match began to draw to it’s close after a twenty five minute encounter between the two. O’Reilly had just rolled Ace onto a table and was ascending the top rope. Connor attempted a Sniper but Bennett slipped away at the last moment and Connor crashed through the table. Bennett took advantage, nailing a Tornado DDT onto a pile of chairs in the middle of the ring. Bennett hoisted Connor onto the top rope for a Syracuse Drop and connected with the sick finisher, onto a stop sign placed on the mat, driving O’Reilly straight into the metal and giving Ace the victory.

Awesome show, I hope you end up finishing this and making this a permanent thing, because it's got a nice variety of characters. You have Red Dragon in the QF when it should be Sam Kineval though. Glad to see Ace Bennett advance over O'Reily, it was an intense match. Would've rather seen McCorven advance over Anderson, but the other two choices I'm okay with. Bennett/Kellen is going to be interesting and I hope to see Bennett advance obviously. Bennett/Bock finals would be cool but it's looking like that won't be possible as they'd face off in the semis.

[Show 7 of 10] [Quarter Final Matchups] [April 13th, 2013]
Cally Alderson def. Elliot Reid to advance to the Semi-Finals The show opens up with the first of the four semi-final matches, this being lower in terms of stardom than the rest but one of the most interesting as one of these two men, who’ve never really been in a main event situation before, were battling for a place in the final four. This is one of Cally’s first showings in a promotion, not being signed on in the NWL and he’s making a great impact, showcasing talent he’s not been able to use elsewhere, whereas Reid has been about a little longer and although he’s entertained crowds, he’s never really amounted to much. The go-home sequence here saw Reid go up top for the Ell-evation, Cally dodged and Reid seemed to jar his ankle into the mat, hitting the floor which Alderson capitalized from springboarding off the top rope for a the Maverick, to advance.
Cain Jackal and Chris Hammers def. Bork Laser and Randel Benjamin This mis-match saw two of the toughest guys to compete in the tournament face the team of over-the-top hardcore enthusiast Benjamin and Brock Lesnar imitation Bork Laser. Laser attempted to ‘F-6’ Jackal, but he was having none of it and simply Spinebustered Bork. This match went on for a little bit, with Hammers and Jackal dominating throughout and working well as a team. In the end, Hammers connected with the Last Minute Orders to Benjamin and Jackal speared Laser before he could break up the count, giving Chris and Cain, the victory in an impressive team debut.
Shane McCorven def. Jack Joseph Both men in this bout were trying all they could to scrape a win, both crashing out in the tournament earlier than they’d hope. McCorven worked on keep Joseph grounded, as he knew how dangerous Jack’s feet can be flying through the air as he worked over Joseph’s ankle. Joseph began to mount a comeback late on in the match, connecting with the Blackbird and going up top for the Flying Saint but Shane yanked on his bad ankle, tangling him in the ropes. Shane stomped on Joseph, who was left in the hanging position before the referee made sure Jack was allowed to get free. As soon as Joseph got out Shane rolled him up, with the tights in one hand and his foot on the ropes to squeeze in a win.
Prior to the main event, Kellen wandered down to the ring and delivered a speech to the audience. Hunter highlighted all of Bennett’s accomplishments elsewhere and then his own, which would only be the International Sims Wrestling Champion. Kellen informs us that these numbers of championships don’t matter, because he’s only been around for a flash and he’s planning to stay around, for a long while. Hunter then goes onto say that Ace’s time in the limelight has passed and that he is the new and without a doubt improved ‘Ace Bennett’.
Hunter Kellen def. Ace Bennett to advance to the Semi-Finals The main event for show seven and what a main event it was. Hunter’s pre-match promo added an interesting spin on his match as many wondered if he could back up his words or not. This was back and forth and ended up going a solid 30 minutes, garnering respect for both man. You could not give the advantage to anyone here as things were even and Kellen really seems to be hitting his stride in the business lately, fighting off any competition. The finish to the match was spectacular. Kellen attempted to connect with Bless the Fall on the outside but Bennett scrambled out and onto the apron, diving off with a dropkick into Hunter who crashed into the metal barricade, bruising his back. Both made it back in before the count of ten but it looked as if Ace was closing in on a victory when Kellen used a cheap poke to the eyes to buy some time, when Ace walked back over to Hunter, he was surprised with a drop toe hold and Hunter locked in an Ankle Lock, though Bennett made it too the ropes. Hunter immediately sprang up for the Codebreaker, though Bennett clung tight to the ropes and Kellen hit the floor, opening the door for Ace who soon drilled him with a superkick. Ace hoisted Hunter onto the top rope, searching for the Syracuse Drop, though Hunter suddenly started to fight back and bashed Bennett’s head ontop of the metal ringpost, busting him open. Kellen then lifted up Bennett, on the top rope and landed a Bless the Fall on the canvas, to pull off a monumental victory and advance in the Born to Battle tournament.
[Show 8 of 10] [Quarter Final Matchups] [April 20th, 2013]
Sam Kineval def. Riley Shamrock to advance to the Semi-Finals Shamrock really had his work cut out for him in a difficult draw against a focused Kineval, who was looking for a strong main event prize, to boost his career up to a higher status. The rookie, Shamrock, fought hard against Kineval, giving him a run for his money, even connecting with his own finisher, the Generation Driver, but the determined Kineval somehow managed to kick out. Shamrock locked in Ode to Shamrock, close to the finish of the match, but Sam headbutted Riley with the back of his head and Shamrock stumbled backwards, loosening the hold. Kineval took advantage, nailing the Chaos Death Shot and picking up yet another victory.
Connor O’Reilly def. Zeke Walker Much like Joseph and McCorven, these two wrestlers were knocked out in round two and are hungry for more wins before this tournament comes to a close, in order to prove themselves to as many as they can. ‘Golden’ Zeke Walker managed to get the crowd behind him, mainly due to the fact that they still have not forgotten O’Reilly’s ‘betrayal’ of Ace Bennett, a few weeks back. Connor played up to the crowd, acting like they still adored him, as they repeatedly piled on the head. To finish this on, Connor managed to stand his ground and keep away from being downed by the Zeke Driver and stomped on the already fallen Zeke, quickly clambering up to the top rope to nail Sniper and pick up a win.
Brydan Stylix and Donnie East def. X Matt and Zack Star The cocky and narcissistic duo of East and Stylix took on Star and X Matt in this tag team battle, though the latter team seemed to have little chance as Brydan and Donnie were backing up their cocky attitude. Matt dazzled the crowd early on with high flying moves, shocking East and Stylix who expected a walk in the park here, but after a stiff clothesline from East, Matt and Star’s night was over and the fun loving duo were disposed of by their opponents after a Facial Reconstruction from Stylix to Zack Star.
Justin Tyger def. Mike Bockwinkel to advance to the Semi-Finals The most anticipated match of the Semi-Finals and the crowd were super pumped for this one, 100% Tyger, 0% Bockwinkel and both guys managed to feed off that energy to put on a superb encounter. Whomever won this match would become odds on to win the tournament with two newer wrestlers in Hunter Kellen and Cally Alderson and Sam Kineval, who has never been highly successful, making the semis. Tyger and Bockwinkel really went at it and the early goings of the match turned from technical to brawl in seconds. Tyger busted out a series of his own moves, a Tyger Driver 08’, a Body Solebutt, Jumping Knee Strike, a Western Lariat and finally Order 66 and the crowd went insane, as Justin started out into the audience, smirking as he then proceeded to lock in the Tennessee Irisleaf! The crowd popped as Tyger had Bockwinkel screaming in the middle of the ring, finding it difficult to break his way free of the hold. Mike did eventually manage to power his way out and busted straight into a sleeper hold, slowly sending Tyger into an unconscious state. Tyger seemed to pass out and Bockwinkel threw him to the floor. Mike then ascended to the top rope, to many’s surprise but Bockwinkel was confident and leaped off, sticking out an elbow but a miraculous roll away from Justin caused Mike to land straight on the canvas. Tyger seized the opportunity to nail a Northern Lights Bomb and looked as if he was going for the cover, but quickly switched his motives and locked in the Tennessee Irisleaf once more! Bockwinkel panicked and eventually tapped out, sending Tyger through the the Semi-Finals.

Disappointed to be knocked out of the Tournament, but teaming with Ace will make up for it on the next show.
