Birth of the Super Powers (about 2:15 into the video)
Most of these videos posted have guys coming out to blaring music that tends to make the pops seem louder then they really are. There's not HD camera here, no music. Just 12-15 thousand fans going crazy!

To me, it was Chris Jericho's WWF debut:
That pop (as soon as his name was shown on the TitanTron) was incredible...

No video online but during a match between Sting/Nikita and Tully/Luger Nikita (I think may have been Sting) tagged Sting (or Nikita) and the place went apecrap Edit:http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5k6l1_tully-blanchard-arn-anderson-vs-sti_sport?search_algo=2#.USrQFjA3s1R

The NWA was always about workrate. If you could work, you could be champion. But you had to be able to hold your own on the mic too. There wasn't a ton of theatrics, there was no memphis comedy sh*t, there was no over-the-top histrionics like in New York. It was about the product in the ring and the fans were smart and appreciated it. That's why you could get a group of fans to just sh*t themselves over something like a simple tag....they appreciated a hot match and a hot angle at its purest level.

Nitro 9/14/98 when Ric Flair returned. The crowd was pumped for 10 minutes before he appeared while Arn brought out the other Four Horsemen. When Flair came out, the crowd went nuts and would not stop.

A few come to mind. When Goldberg beat Hogan for the belt on Nitro and Hogan's huge pop in Montreal. Hell, even Hogan's HOF pop was huge.

The crowd when Tazz and DDP debut in 00/01 respectively were pretty impressive. I definitely think The Harts got louder pops than Austin at the Canadian Stampede. That whole match was just insane, the crowd was so hot. You could barely even hear any of their entrance themes. I especially love when Neidhart's music hits and no one knew it was his (because it was the only time he used it) and when he comes out the crowd goes crazy.
And of course:
I also remember once on Raw or Smackdown, Hogan was getting such a loud crowd ovation that he couldn't even talk over it.
EDIT: Here it is!
