Hey I was thinking I want to make a beard for my E18 Barrett...any tips for a newb? I was thinking a slim sharpie or something?
I want it to look decent but not to the pro level just yet as I have no experience customizing.

Slight bit of acrylic paint and a small brush will do it, even for someone new. Would stay away from sharpie's....

a sharpie will bleed, turn purple, and ultimately ruin both the figure you use it on and any it touches. Get an acrylic paint pen if you're determined to use a pen. Painting it on with a thin brush would be much better.

As others have said, just use a tiny brush and some acrylic paint. You really need a steady hand and go slow as you can. Just follow the natural contours of the sculpt and it should be easy to do. Good luck!

never use sharpie... thats one of THE biggest taboo's in the custom's board, its like a satanist eating a fairy cake, its just NOT done! use acrylic paint and a thin brush. dont load your brush with a load of paint, or it'll look thick and gloopy, use light layers of paint, if it doesnt cover first time you can add another layer. you cant take a layer off if you use too much.
