i hate spacey's southern drawl they have him do, sounds dumb. i've only seen the first episode but it seems compelling enough, maybe a bit dry..

I almost checked it out when I heard David Fincher directed the first couple episodes.

I haven't gotten past the first episode. I absolutely hate Spacey talking to the camera/audience.

I haven't gotten past the first episode. I absolutely hate Spacey talking to the camera/audience. I personally love it--It's stylish, and Kevin Spacey has such an amazing onscreen presence that he executes it brilliantly. I've only watched the first episode so far, thought it was great, and now I'm dying to see the next but I haven't had the time.

I haven't gotten past the first episode. I absolutely hate Spacey talking to the camera/audience. I normally don't, but I love it here. It gives the show character, and it gets us inside Underwood's head a little. I love it when he just looks at the camera, no words, and rolls his eyes.

Half way done the show, and I absolutely love it. It's Kevin Spacey breaking the fourth wall continuously, what more is to say? So good.

Loved the show. Finished it the 1st week it was out on Netflix. I really enjoy Kevin Spacey and I don't mind the talking to the camera. Russo is one of my favorite characters.
What do you guys think about Netflix releasing the whole season at once? I enjoyed being able to kill the whole season in a week, but not having a set day/time to watch didn't allow for threads like this to pop up. The Walking Dead thread is one of my fav because I'm able to see how you guys feel from episode to episode.
You guys should def give it a try if you haven't yet. Also we need to work out what we can or can't talk about cuz not everyone finished the show and i dont wanna ruin anything for ppl who don't wanna know what happens.

I havent seen it yet but I will give it a shot.
its a remake of an excellent English TV series House Of cards based on a book.Spacey will have one hell of a time bettering Ian Richardsons performance as Francis Urquart.the sequels To Play the King & The Final Cut were also excellent.

I like the British version better. Ian Richardson's Francis Urqhardt is a much better character. Kevin Spacey is basically the same character, except they changed his name to Francis Underwood. Kevin Spacey is a favorite actor of mine, but I don't like this nearly as much as the British one. To Play The King-the second in the original trilogy is absolutely amazing.
