Saw the 2.5" 8-bit figures at TRU a couple days ago. They look alright, but not for me

Anyone need a yellow Pikmin? I got an extra (cost and shipping, I could ship it loose for a buck) I apparently missed Metroid again. Saw a lone Ganon at TRU today I bought a couple DKs for toys for tots. They're on sale and it helps to clear them out (plus he IS a pretty neat toy) Got my 3D Lucas today, so cool. Can't wait to paint this guy up.

The 8-bit "figures" are awful. Flat "lego-looking" non-poseable standups are not figures and have no place in this line. To represent that era they should have made actual 3D articulated figures based off the manual/box artwork of the characters i.e. how the artists INTENDED them to look, not how the technical limitations forced them to look. Like with Mario, make his 8-bit figure look like this (FYI this is the original Japanese artwork for SMB1 on NES): I have no issue with 8-bit pixel style non-poseable collectables being made, but these do not belong in a FIGURE line.

To each their own. I finished my set of four today when I found Luigi and DK at Target. Personally, I love them.

I'm really thinking of buying both. Have you bought them? Any review online on them?

Personally, I love them. just a heads up brother they have 8 bit Link in blue ring and red ring outfits, as well as star power 8 bit mario and black and white 8 bit mario (i believe...) Some are Walgreens exclusives.

Some are Walgreens exclusives. I was just focused on getting the regular Mario, Luigi, Link, and Kong. I did find the red Link at Go! Calendars, but passed on it. I might get the Star Power Mario if I come across it. Thanks for the heads up though!
