The 8-bit "figures" are awful. Flat "lego-looking" non-poseable standups are not figures and have no place in this line. To represent that era they should have made actual 3D articulated figures based off the manual/box artwork of the characters i.e. how the artists INTENDED them to look, not how the technical limitations forced them to look. Like with Mario, make his 8-bit figure look like this (FYI this is the original Japanese artwork for SMB1 on NES): I have no issue with 8-bit pixel style non-poseable collectables being made, but these do not belong in a FIGURE line. have you seen any of these yet? mario/link figurinesYeh that's exactly what I meant, that's how Jakks should be making their retro figures, except articulated of course. As stated I don't have a problem with non-articulated pixel-art "mini-standees" being made too, but they are not figures and do not belong in a figure line. I am so desperate for Jakks to make a decent quality Link figure styled off the manual artwork or player's guide artwork from Link To The Past (NOT a stupid pixel version) - and make it look better than their OOT Link abomination (that looks nothing like either the game model or the manual artwork). It's an absolute no-brainer, it would sell tons. But I'd lay money Jakks don't have anywhere near the knowledge, passion or imagination to make it happen. Also not figures, but I'd love to see some replica scale cars based off the original F-Zero game. Again I'm not gonna get my hopes up though.

The sculpt lacks depth and detail, and the overall proportions are wrong. The head/face particularly looks very off. The paint apps could be better too. It looks like something made in the 1990s. If some high-end Japanese company like Max Factory or Tamashii Nations did a OOT Link it would blow this one out of the water. I know Jakks line is cheaper, but my point is they can do a lot better than this. Mario, Bowser, Fox McCloud, Donkey Kong, and others they have done are a LOT better quality. Put the Jakks Mario next to the Figuarts Mario and you don't see anywhere near as much of a drop in quality.

Built my Megaman model yesterday and added him to the Smash bros. I know its not Jakks, but he fits in nicely. Would like the D-art version as mine has small spru marks and the scale is a bit large. This is more in my price range though. It does have a blaster hand, 2 open hands, energy can, blue&yellow beams, and faces. Cool little kit.

If the Falco and Slippy figures never end up coming out, I'm going to be a very sad boy. Was happy to get the plush Fox and Timmy/Tommy Nook recently. I only bought one of the Nooks though. Should have just made two small ones that were attached together.

Are there any Walgreens hunters on here? I could definitely use some help in getting the 3 exclusive figures they're supposed to have. It's literally impossible to get them here in Canada as we don't have Walgreens.

Seen images of 4 inch series 5. They no longer list the accesories as "mystery" Sheik comes with a harp, both Waluigi and Gold Mario have a coin each, Cat Luigi has a bell while Bowser Jr has a Bob-omb.

couldnt find the items Thanks! They look sweet. I saw the MOC pictures, they look decent, can't find the pic now, it annoys me how many repaints we have already got and we're only on the 5th series.

I heard that Falco was suppose to be in this wave, but got pushed back so he'll most likely be released in the next wave.

None of these figures were in the originally announced wave five. That said I'm happy we're getting Bowser Jr. already, and Waluigi is also a must-have.

I'm confused, didn't they already do Toon (aka Windwaker) Link? Would be typical Jakks that they're so short on knowledge and imagination that they resort to just doing more re-releases instead of something like LTTP Link.

By the 7th Series, we will have six different versions of Mario, as bit too many for my liking. (':

These are the 4 inch ones. Oh right, thanks. Probably will be 2026 before they make a LTTP Link figure. Or more likely, they'll give up on the line entirely without even considering it. Or make a stupid pixel standup one instead of a proper figure... I know I'm complaining a lot but I can't be the only Nintendo collector frustrated at the lack of classic SNES-era coverage with these figures. By the 7th Series, we will have six different versions of Mario, as bit too many for my liking. (': I wouldn't mind all the Mario variations if they would just do a few more CLASSIC look figures (and pixel-art "standees" don't count as they're not figures) instead of 99% modern styles. That's Jakks for you. At the very least they could repaint the modern sculpt in reverse colors to match the original SMB1 artwork color scheme (i.e. blue shirt, red overalls).
