Over the years there have been so many great Wrestlemania matches that have been overshadowed by some of the iconic matches of Wrestlemania. We always hear about the Wrestlemania classics like Ricky Steamboat Vs. Macho Man, Bret Hart Vs. Shawn Michaels, Austin Vs. Michaels, Rock Vs. Hogan, etc. But in no particular order what 5 matches do you think are the most underrated matches in Wrestlemania history. I would say:
Wrestlemania 3 Roddy Piper Vs. Adrian Adonis
- I loved Jimmy Hart's involvement in this match and how many bumps he took, really added to the match. I also loved Brutus Beefcake coming out at the end.
Wrestlemania 17 Shane McMahon Vs. Vince McMahon
- This match was flawless imo. I loved all the spots with Trish turning on McMahon, Linda sitting up from her wheelchair, Shane hitting the cost to cost on Vince with the trash can, and the flying elbow through the commentary table.
Wrestlemania 10 Crush Vs. Macho Man
- I remember watching this match as a kid and being so excited to see what would happen. I loved the build up after Crush powerslammed Savage throat first across the control gate. Great build up and a great match.
Wrestlemania 25 Matt Hardy Vs. Jeff Hardy
Although the match was a little short. I thought the Hardys really put on a great match. Very exciting match from start to finish.
Wrestlemania 13 Steve Austin Vs. Bret Hart
Truly great match. Ken Shamrock as referee really made the match that much more special. The end was great as well, Austin passed out from loss of blood, which allowed Bret to win but Austin never tapped. Great match that was booked great.
What do you guys think are the 5 most underrated Wrestlemania matches?!?

I don't know how anyone could under rate Bret/Austin. That match was amazing. I would add Taker/Orton. It doesn't get much praise, but I thought it was pretty good.

-Piper/Hitman WM 8 Hands down Piper's best match of his career. 2 faces, when that was fresh and new. Great storytelling. Awesome finish
-Perfect/Luger WM 9 I hated the finish of course. Hennig really pulled out all the moves in his aresenal.
Foley/Edge WM 22 This match was brutal. Some amazing spots in this match. Lita showing blood from the mandible claw wrapped in barbed wire.
HBK/Jericho WM 19 Outside of Rock/Austin and Lesnar/Angle, this is my favorite match on the card. Some awesome false finishes. 2 of the greatest ever
Cena/HBK WM 23 I'm not even sure if this match is underrated by any means. But I just watched it for ths first time since I watched it live on ppv 6 years ago. It was way better than I remembered.
Honorable mention: Bret/Owen WM 10 This match does get some love, but if it gets enough credit is debatable. This is one of the greatest technical matches in history imo.

The Undertaker/Batista match from WM 23 was really good, it was my favorite match from the whole show.

How is Stone Cold vs. Bret from 13 underrated? Some people consider it one of the best matches of all time. It gets talked about plenty.

How is Stone Cold vs. Bret from 13 underrated? Some people consider it one of the best matches of all time. It gets talked about plenty. I guess you could debate weather or not its underrated. I was just thinking it would be considered underrated compared to some of the real top of the top classic Wrestlemania matches that are always talked about. Matches such as Bret Hart Vs Shawn at Wrestlemania 12, Savage and Steamboat from Wrestlemania 3, Razor and Shawn Michaels from Wrestlemania 10, Andre and Hogan from Wrestlemania 3. I dont really think its talked about as much as those matches in my opinion. But non the less a classic match that really was a great match. |

HBK vs Angle at Mania 21 comes to mind. That match is  ing incredible. It gets some love, but not enough imo. I thought Randy Orton vs CM Punk was the best match on the Mania 27 card. Just an awesome match between those two. I'm pretty sure I got ridiculed by 90% of this place for liking it more than Triple H vs Taker, which I thought was meh. Others I enjoy: Macho Man vs Ted Dibiase - WM4 Steiners vs Headshrinkers - WM9 Undertaker vs Diesel - WM12 Triple H vs Owen - WM14 Raven vs Kane vs Big Show - WM17 Undertaker vs Triple H - WM17 HBK vs Vince - WM22 MITB - WM24 Hardy vs Hardy - WM25 |

Definitely for me matches at WrestleMania that are really underrated are:
1) Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle- WrestleMania 21
2) Batista vs Triple H (World Heavyweight Championship)- WrestleMania 21
3) Hulk Hogan vs Mr. McMahon- WrestleMania 19
4) The Miz vs John Cena (WWE Championship)- WrestleMania 27
5) Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton (Triple-Threat World Heavyweight Championship)- WrestleMania 22

HBK/Angle doesn't get nearly enough praise. Best match in WM history IMO. agreed! Everything about that match was perfect. It started off rather slow with technical wrestling but then they really tore the house down! |
