Nothing really, just force the head off with your hands.

Hot water and something thin like a butter knife or screwdriver.
Stick the figure upside down in the water for about 30 seconds. This won't do anything to the figure -- don't worry. It'll only make the plastic softer. Pull it out, dry it off, stick the butter knife or screwdriver in the gap between the head and the neck and just push upward. It'll come off very easily depending on how long you left it in the water. It'll also most likely fly across the room and become a projectile. So don't do it near fine china or anything like that, XD.
