Basics actually aren't that bad when you consider that we're getting 6-7" figures for only $1-2 more than what it costs to buy a much smaller 3 3/4" Star Wars, GI Joe, or Marvel figure.

Of course your pay check doesn't go up. But operation costs do go up as well as all the COO and board of director's saleries. Meanwhile you read or see most company's "have to downsize" yet you read in the next sentence how the COO is getting a couple million dollar pay raise. lol Lol that's right, lets all ban together and go after the CEO's. We got two words for the Mattel CEO......... Your Welcome ( Sandow Voice )

I noticed this the other day as well. It seems like they raised the price the same day they started the so called sale that they have going on.

This might be for that sale they have going on where you spend a certain amount and get a percentage off. It's not uncommon for businesses to inflate prices a tad before a big sale to create the illusion of big savings. Hopefully that's the case and this isn't permanent.

10 dollars for a basic is fine. it a value when you consider that 4 in figures in gi joe starwars and marvel all cost 10 dollars. 10 dollars for a 7 in figure is a fine price even if its "limited articulation"
anything more than that is getting F ed in the A. elites are too expensive. if ironman 3 legends are 14.99 and so are DCUC then why is a elite 16.99? its more than the 6 in market price point.

I'm hoping this goes back down after the "sale," but I doubt it will.
Man, do I miss Hasbros being $3 - $5 (you kids get off my lawn).

I've felt toy companys purposefully package good toys less than peg warmers just so company insiders can profit from scalping. How else can you explain to me a case having 3 Cenas and 1 Honky Tonk Man?
Figures at Target by my house cost 23.99 for elites and 13.99 for basic so I've seen these high prices already.

These guys make millions each year, yet they raise prices on us during tough times. Ill have to reconsider this hobby since the price takes a lot of the fun out of it for me.

In the UK, we pay the equivalent of $15 for a Basic and $23 for an Elite. If you're all complaining about the prices we could swap?
