Im just looking at the pictures here on wwe.com which are saying it was possibly the best crowd in history. Look at the photos...soccer flags everywhere even Stoke City fans were there lol...St Georges flags as well in many areas. The chants in UK events are similar to this so im not surprised to see so many Brits at Raw this past Monday.

Yep, they could have raw there next week and the crowd would be tame.
Raw was entertaining thanks to the crowd but that doesn't change that the show still wasnt good. If no crazy crowd its a pretty bad show

18 thousand bored people were the reason Raw was epic.

I agree with those who said it was a matter of the people there. This crowd was going to (and did) have a good time no matter what.

What I dont understand, if British fans are the reason the crowd was rowdy last night...why is it the Raw's suck when they're in England? Im not trying to bash British fans or members with that question, its a legit question. The Raws are usually very average to sub-par and the crowds there arent nearly as rowdy as they were last night. As KillScene said, I think it was just more of a "smark" crowd.

British Raws are usually horrible quality, and the crowds are nothing special. I, too, mean no ill will toward European fans, because, as we all know, most American crowds suck too these days. Last night was just a fantastic mix of die hard fans from all over the place. I don't even think "smark" is the right word for it. They were just having fun, and they were vocal about what they liked and didn't like. It was truest representation of the "WWE Universe" you could have - a little bit of everyone.

Being taped does ruin part of it. But I do agree that people saying like wait until Raw is in England and we'll get a repeat of last night. No we won't. I don't remember any English crowd being like last night.

Believe me, when you get a Wade Barretts barmy army chant and an Ole chant with Sheamus, it's a UK/Irish crowd. I don't see why you guys are so upset that the crowd was predominantly European. It's not like almost every US crowd isn't dead on a weekly basis.

I don't think it's tough to figure out that the Raw crowd after Mania is always the most pumped. No matter where it is at.

I always thought northern England Raws had good crowds.
Either way I think it was alot of things mixed together. I think the fans have seen enough and this MAY change everything. Probably not though.
I hate the way the WWEs putting a positive spin on it when the reason it most likely happened is they had enough. I remember Jerry Lawler saying the fans where been opposite to normal when they were just been louder and more honest

To the guys saying that the atmosphere hasn't been good on the last few British Raw's. I may be wrong but I think you probably need to watch them again. I always remember thinking that the crowd is pumped up when Raw is live from England (particularly the Manchester and Birmingham ones, maybe not so much the London ones.) I'm not saying they are 'better' fans, I think its just purely a case of that we get to see it so rarely that the crowd is pumped for it. If we had it every week we'd probably be more 'whatever.'
I think it was probably a case of, like commentary said, a high percentage of europeans lingering from Wrestlemania and a pumped up American crowd joining in.
The atmosphere\songs were very similar to what you get at a football match over here. Its a very different atmosphere from American sports.
