Says it in the title. Anyone ever heard of the X Clan. One of the best rap groups during their time in my opinion. Brother J had such an amazing flow and was always great on the mic. Their black radical style was awesome and they were extremely educated on African history so their lyrics always came off as very conscious and educated ryhmes, something we need more of in Hip-Hop today. I'm not asking this as if they weren't ever popular, Hip-Hop fans knew the name in the 90s. Too bad Sugar Shaft and Professor X are gone now R.I.P. Professor X always nailed the intros with his unique voice and created one of Hip-Hops favorite sayings, SISSSYYYYYY.
If you're gonna listen make sure you check out the first two, by far their best work and the classics people remember them by.
Their best song by far
Another classic track
A couple more

Yes very few lyricist could touch brother j. he had a very unique flow and power about him that few had. X clan wasn't just a (rap group) they did alot for the community and spoke out on various social and political issues. One thing I got from them listening to them in my teen years was to appreciate the scope and scale that Blacks (all creeds) have had on shaping the history of this planet and how strong a influence we as a people have. proud moment. Oh yeah small correction " Heed the word of the brother " biggest hit most air play

I remember them. At the time I remember thinking they weren't very good. Time hasn't changed my thoughts on them.

The first time I ever heard of them was in an Eminem song... 'professor x van glorious, this is a state of red black and green with a key, sissy!'
Or something like that...
